How Much Worse Could Things Get in Chicago?

Chicago isn’t Detroit yet, but, gosh darn it, they’re trying. The president of the Chicago Teacher’s Union is considering a run for mayor, and according to polls, she would probably win.

The current mayor of Chicago, Rahm Emanuel, is a standard issue corrupt Chicago Democrat; Lewis is a straight-up radical. Lewis’s main beef with him is that, in response to the fact that the population of Chicago is declining, and the population of school-age children in Chicago is declining even more, Emanuel closed a bunch of unnecessary public schools; and of course that meant layoffs for teachers and administrators, and that meant fewer dues-payers to support Ms. Lewis’s quarter-million-dollar annual Teacher’s Union president salary.

In the Chicago Public Schools’ run by Ms. Lewis’s Teacher’s Union:

  • Four out of 10 freshmen don’t graduate
  • 91 percent of graduates must take remedial courses in college because they do not know how to do basic math and other schoolwork
  • Only 26 percent of high school students are college-ready, according to results from ACT subject-matter tests.

And the average salary for a Chicago Public School teacher was $76,000 per year in 2012 when teachers went on strike to demand more money, which was not only the highest in the country, but $3000 more than teachers in New York City.

She also obviously has not been participating in Michelle Obama’s school lunch program.

The Islamic State Is a Socialist Progressive Utopia

According to this post at The Bookworm, the agenda of the Islamic State seems very familiar; providing free health care, free food, free housing, free utilities (just like they demand in Detroit!), and an allowance from the state, all paid for by other people. Where have we heard people promising free stuff from the Government before?

An ISIS supporter put up a Facebook post lauding ISIS’s incredible largess once it’s in power:

Ten Facts from the ‪#‎Islamic_State‬ that everyone should know.

1. We don’t pay rent here. Houses are given for free.
2. We pay neither electric nor water bills.
3. We are given monthly grocery supplies. Spagetti, pasta, can foods, rice, eggs and etc.
4. Monthly allowance are given not only to husband and wife (wives) but also for each child.
5. Medical check up and medication are free – The Islamic State pays on behalf of you.
6. You can still survive even if you don’t speak Arabic. You can find almost every race and nationality here.
7. For every newly married couples are given 700usd as a gift. (Only for Mujahid and I’m not sure if it’s still available now).
8. You don’t have to pay the tax (if you’re a Muslim)
9. No one is conducting business during prayer time. You can see people left their shops opened and pray either in the masjid or near by their shops.
10. The number of mix-marriages and mixed-race children are so high. It’s beautiful to witness brotherhood with no racism.

Sounds an awful lot like the agenda of Occupy Wall Street, except for all the rapes. Oh, wait…

Obamacare Architect Thinks People Should Die At 75

Ezekiel Emanuel — one of the architects of Obamacare — thinks that 75 years of life is enough and if people just dropped dead at 75, it would be good for society.

Zeke is back with a major article in The Atlantic, in which he provides a rationale for death at age 75. In his opinion, people older than 75 are annoying. They aren’t as productive as they used to be, don’t “contribute to work, society, the world.” They are more likely to be disabled, “a state that may not be worse than death but is nonetheless deprived.” Plus, they are a pain in the ass: “they set expectations, render judgments, impose their opinions, interfere, and are generally a looming presence for even adult children.”

This reminds me of one the preachier episodes of Star Trek (featuring gay actor David Ogden Stiers doing his level best to appear sexually interested in Majel Barrett).

Hermione Granger Lectures Mos Eisley Spaceport on Feminism

The actress who played Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter movies dropped in on the world’s premier wretched hive of scum and villainy… the United Nations… to deliver a lecture on feminism and to pester men to become feminists.

It was the kind of speech that the Hollywood left usually describes as “courageous,” meaning it reinforces the prejudices of the Hollywood left and will benefit positively the career of the person giving it. To the Hollywood Left, courage is Tina Fey putting on her Sarah Palin wig and delivering a speech about how gay marriage combats Global Warming.

The text of the speech contains not a word about clitorectomies, honor killings, or Islamic Law and its requirements that a woman produce four witnesses before accusing a man of rape. It was all about First World problems, which is why an actress who has made millions of dollars can complain about income inequality and hurt feelings.

Because the reality is that if we do nothing it will take 75 years, or for me to be nearly a hundred before women can expect to be paid the same as men for the same work.

I started questioning gender-based assumptions when at eight I was confused at being called “bossy,” because I wanted to direct the plays we would put on for our parents—but the boys were not.
When at 14 I started being sexualized by certain elements of the press.
When at 15 my girlfriends started dropping out of their sports teams because they didn’t want to appear “muscly.”
When at 18 my male friends were unable to express their feelings.

But given the size of that pile of manure, there had to be a pony under it somewhere and here it is.

The more I have spoken about feminism the more I have realized that fighting for women’s rights has too often become synonymous with man-hating. If there is one thing I know for certain, it is that this has to stop.

No kidding. as the Feminist Movement is led by women who totally believe stuff like this:

“The proportion of men must be reduced to and maintained at approximately 10% of the human race.”
