His attempt at self-reinvention is interesting, but deciding that he’s a “leader” & wants to be a politician comes across as just strange. People look at the whole package & a tallish elfin creature, who is no longer slated to appear in any more Christmas specials, doesn’t seem like a viable anything.
He’s obviously over-thought the whole matter. He should have picked an issue to grandstand & kept a quieter campaign.
Maybe, I’m being petty.

convincing people he was straight is what propelled him to some chart success. I do not understand what he is trying to gain from convincing people he is a republican.
He was too much into the gay bubble and into the Hollywood/star system bubble to pass as a conservative.

Oh, this is precious.
Does he really think that Republicans are stupid enough to vote for him just because he does a portmanteau of his last name and “Republican”?
Oh, wait. He’s a gay Democrat. Of course he thinks Republicans are stupid enough to fall for that.

I looked at the picture before I read the post, and thought the sign was about Todd Akin for a brief moment. I was obviously corrected when I read the post (and noticed the different spelling of the name). However, perhaps some liberals will also get confused when looking at the sign, and thus work to destroy Clay Aiken’s reputation.

In part being a gay celebrity means that women wont buy your stuff as part of a dream to get pregnant by you and gold dig. Trying to force celebrities out of the closet can hit them in the wallet despite claiming best intentions.
