Obama Regime Panders to Gay Progs by Creating Useless Postion

February 23, 2015 by V the K

Because there are no serious diplomatic or international issues to tend to, the Obama/Kerry State Department is able to indulge its social justice whims by creating a special envoy for sexual minorities.

Randy Berry, currently the consul general in the Netherlands, will promote human rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals, Secretary of State John Kerry said.

“Defending and promoting the human rights of LGBT persons is at the core of our commitment to advancing human rights globally — the heart and conscience of our diplomacy,” Kerry said in a statement.

His job is going to amount to giving speeches in front of people who think that LGBT Rights are a serious human rights issue in which he will tell them that “LGBT Rights are a serious human rights issue.”

“But what about the gays slaughtered by the Iranian Regime Obama is desperate to sign a treaty with?” you may ask, to which the Obama Regime will reply, “Shut up, birther!”

This is what you get when your country is ruled by adolescents who are only interested in looking cool in front of the other adolescents.

It’s not useless! It pays someone off – gives them a sinecure, makes them feel important, etc.

Of course I’m being sarcastic. But I bet some leftie read that and started to agree. “It creates a job – and gives someone self-esteem” is how they might put it. Never mind that the money for it must be either stolen from taxpayers or printed from thin air; both roads that end in disaster when followed long enough.

To bad he didn’t pick up on Pim Fortuyn’s politics while he was in his homeland. If he wasn’t assassinated the leftists couldn’t have any arguments against him.

Why make him a special envoy? Why not create a cabinet position? The Secretary of LGBT Issues. Give him a sense of real importance, as he makes inane pronouncements in the name of the administration. The question is that if he should go to Iran, woulod he be able to get out alive?, If he doesn’t , what difference does it make?

I’m sure some leftist did read the first comment and start to agree. Irony and sarcasm are easily misunderstood. I’m old enough to remember the controversy over Randy Newman’s “Short People.” And when “All in the Family” first premiered, it was criticized by liberals who did not understand that it was intended as a satire of bigotry.

For that matter, a lot of people think that “This Land is Your Land” and “Born in the USA” are patriotic anthems. And there were probably people who thought that Jonathan Swift really wanted the British to eat Irish babies.

Eventually, the government will subsidize parties given by rich socialites. “It creates jobs for caterers.”

And you are spot on about the administration being adolescents trying to look cool in front of other adolescents. When you are fifteen, the most important thing in the world is to look cool and sophisticated. And, emotionally and intellectually, Obama and his fans are all about fifteen years old.

How much you want to bet this person focuses on florists and bakers who don’t want to use their skills at a gay wedding instead of ISIS and Islamic countries that imprison, beat, hang and in the case of ISIS toss gays off roof tops. Can’t judge the murderous Muslims for targeting gays but that Florist is a scourge to society.
