It’s funny when progressives claim that they’re actually normal people.

As for the Native Americans/First Nations, the correct answer is “dead ones“.

Doesn’t this sound like an “Animal Farm” situation in the making? And I’m not trying to make any aesthetic digs at the people involved — just the likelihood of their communitarian lifestyle actually working out.

Ok how many people thought Charlie Sheen would make a good roommate for them? Actually this has to be a hoax, a female tech wiz who works a lot. Unless they mean token affirmative action that checks facebook and drinks coffee while complaining about unequal work for equal pay.

2 unicorns married . A tech woman (who slept her way to higher pay than colleagues) and a supposedly competent black guy both to be get rich discrimination suitors. http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2015/02/reddit-ceo-ellen-pao-takes-on-former-vc-firm-in-gender-discrimination-case/

I had an indian (feather not dot) ex boyfriend and you are only supposed to claim to be 2 spirit if you have been taught the medicine man majik of both men & women. In fact its insulting to Indians that have fallen in honorable battle to give up land peacefully to invading mestizos. The Comanche kept mestizos out of what they now claim as Aztlan.

Also here is a video of an indian food that will keep you from starving if lost in the wilderness. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-tO2LF80fE

@ Steve: In the economics department, perhaps. In the “government keeps its nose out of citizens’ business and doesn’t spy on them” department, China and Russia aren’t exactly role models.

  12. ILoveCapitalism says

China and Russia are both dictatorships, and don’t forget it. China, in particular, is only pretend-capitalist because it has no real property rights. And when the chips are down, both countries’ leaders’ fangs come out.

The debate that interests (and saddens) me, is to what degree have we slid that way, or become China/Russia-like….

(continued) A dialogue I have with people all the time.

Them: Look how horrible capitalism is! (industry/company XYZ) just sucks!

Me: Of course. Because we don’t have capitalism. Capitalism is: individual rights to life, liberty and property, under sound money and small government. That set of things causes market forces to arise from the will of countless sovereign individuals – such as consumers – and the market forces compel businesses to serve people. We haven’t had those things for the past 80+ years. You’re not looking at capitalism; you’re looking at life under Big Government.

Them: But China is capitalist! and just see how they put arsenic in their baby formula!!!!1!!eleventy!

Me: No, it isn’t capitalist. Nobody in China holds clear title to their land, for example. They don’t have freedom of the press. They don’t have freedom of assembly, or freedom of association, etc. Without those things, there ain’t no capitalism…for example, no sovereign consumer.

Them: (silence, change the subject, etc.)

Goodness, these womyn (?) are scary. But also kinda funny. I got dragged by an old friend to the gay-straight alliance club at my university the other week, and I had to sit through some “empowered” feminist lesbian giving a safe sex talk, and going on about how boring penises are. I decided that I had had enough, and said, “Well I think the same thing about vaginas, but at least I’m polite enough not to say it in front of people who like them.” Which got a laugh out of the assembled gays, and resulted in some highly entertaining back and forth between myself and the lesbian, who realized that she was dealing with a gay guy who was completely willing to call her on her crap and loathed me.

@ RSG: I was probably the most normal person there. I was stuck sitting next to a biological male (facial hair and all) who insisted that I refer to him as “she,” because “she” is something called “gender fluid,” and seemed insulted when I politely asked if she was a transperson. And then there were the two twinks behind me who kept holding hands and making out. I dropped my voice down to my “public speaking” setting and said, “Boys. Save it for later.” They seemed a little freaked out that the bear cub had reprimanded them.

There are self-actualizing, reality based floating islands of grounded authenticity skirting the fringes of delusion throughout the liberal world.

Astrology is often the first hint that someone is about to reveal the mystical powers of the universe, whether you shiv a git or not. Vegan is so yesterday when gluten-free can explain how your purity is extra extra cold-pressed virgin. Cosmic conversation is mental foreplay for the rapture of orgasmic petit mal seizures replete with stars, comets and lightning. What follows is the post-rapture is the calming sense of perfect worthiness.

That these two highly evolved niche humanoids are seeking a third is clear evidence that their harmonic balance wheel is in need of some hairspring tweaking. They sense their inertial navigation system has a void at the input axis allowing external torque to mess with their spin stability. They are trying to maintain their axis by internalizing more torque. Of course, they risk totally spinning out of control by introducing unforeseen influences of roll, pitch and yaw. In this case, they should turn to psilocybin ingestion out of religious respect to their indigenous forebears who learned that magic mushrooms can make the world either go away or be a better place in short hallucinogenic flights of cosmic reality.

Just do accept a ride with either of them.

    “Where is your God now?”
I used to believe in the god Equalism but I know its dead. I guess I should rewrite that as women with low testosterone throughout their lives.

I know Russia & china are not Utopias but they don’t kill people for selling untaxed cigarettes. Would you rather live in London/Paris which both had soldiers beheaded in broad daylight or in St Petersburg where you would only be harassed if you had public sex or kiddie stuff?

  23. Sean L says

    February 26, 2015 at 2:21 pm - February 26, 2015

@ Steve: Considering the fact that in St. Petersburg, I would have to worry more about whether the guy who was flirting me was actually gay, or some guy looking for a bit of gay-bashing, I’ll stick with the US of A, thank you very much. Guy-loving guys don’t have to worry about getting immolated in their cars here.

Sean did you seriously not hear about all of the US whites burned or beaten with hammers (several in St Louis Area alone) since the Ferguson liquor store robber was killed by officer Wilson? Even if you carried an FN57 with a 30 round magazine how many of the top 200 black attack videos on the site “White Girl Bleeds A Lot” could you survive uninjured? France has thousands of cars burned each year by moslems. Oh yea a black woman killing a 12yo white boy with a blowtorch on Christmas eve is a dog bites man story for MSM.

Question for these individuals: if you’re so all-fired concerned about indigenous peoples, why aren’t you living wherever it is *your* tribe is from?

  26. perturbed says

Blair, it’s all about the “awareness”. Plus, they describe themselves as “Womyn of Color”, which neans they’re completely released from any obligation to feel guilt over such matters and can concentrate on more important things… such as inducing it in other people.

Their profile sounds like a glorious mess – it’ll be interesting to see where they are five, ten, fifteen etc. years from now, and what happens when/if their starry-eyed astrological dream-trip comes all unglued. I hope the first person who answers their ad is a clear-headed anthropology or sociology student of Native-American extraction, because there’s a thesis in all this somewhere and they sort of deserve to find themselves living with a room-mate who’s occupying her own ancestral land and has no problems telling them so.
