The Next Fronts in the Gay Left’s War on Christians

April 4, 2015 by V the K

Over at Breitbart, Ben Shapiro looks at how the gay left is taking rights away from private businesses and speculates where this war is headed.  The gay left promised that gay marriage would not affect anyone beyond same-sex couples wanting to get married. As the experiences of Memories Pizza and Barronelle Stutzman show, this was a lie. The gay left is not content with having won state recognition of same-sex marriage, and thinks that they must force Christians (but not Muslims) who oppose same-sex marriage to bow down before them. Shapiro sees that following as the gay left’s next targets:

  • Churches: The gay left has already begun a push to have churches tax-exempt status revoked if they refuse to perform same-sex marriages.
  • Religious Universities: Universities that do not support same-sex marriage will be denied tax-exempt status and will have their accreditation revoked.
  • Religious Schools: Already in California, private schools are required to teach a pro-gay curriculum. Those that don’t will be shut down by the State.

The gay left simply cannot tolerate a difference of opinion. You will celebrate gay marriage, or you will be punished.

I have seen this image crop up on Facebook. Yes, indeed, they are coming for the churches.

This is Standard Operating Procedure for any of the Sacred Victim Groups. Gays learned the game from feminists who learned it from “civil rights” Blacks. None of this was ever about fairness. It was always about vengeance. None of the Sacred Victims can enjoy “fairness” unless it is achieved –endlessly, by the way– at the expense of and to the detriment of the Evil Oppressor Groups. To tweak Clausewitz, American politics is war, carried on by other means.

That Facebook image says a lot about how leftists think. How is giving someone a tax break taking “my” money? Unless “I” am somehow rightfully entitled to the money that they earned.

Libertarians, just a little slow on the learning curve regarding those leftist 2-3%ers hostile to orthodox religion, no different than their predecessors of nearly eighty years ago………..

do they support these things because they are gay or because they are leftists? I would think most gays support some religion but most leftists are atheists. when are gays going to wake up to the fact that if leftists have their way nobody will have any rights or freedom.

Tell me again how allowing someone or something else to go untaxed is the same as giving them money.

It’s the same point of view and asking how you pay for a tax cut.

I mean, seriously. What if a company fell on very hard times and, in addition to eliminating all bonuses and dividends, all salaries across the board would be cut 5%. Who in their right mind would say, “How am I going to pay for this salary cut?”

There is said to be an old Arabian proverb: “If the camel once gets his nose in the tent, his body will soon follow.” This expression is especially pertinent in the tax exemption context. Churches are tax exempt under the principle that there is no surer way to destroy the free exercise of religion than to tax it. If the government is allowed to tax churches (or to condition a tax exemption on a church refraining from the free exercise of religion), the camel’s nose is under the tent, and its body is sure to follow. But that’s not just my opinion; it’s the understanding of the U.S. Supreme Court.

    More on the camel

The Sultan forgave him and said to Mohammed, “Never let a camel get his nose in your tent. When you give the foolish a little, it is never enough. They are never satisfied until they have it all.”

The White Race could learn a very valuable lesson from this little story. We have had our brains scrambled by such perverted Jewish-Christian shibboleths as — sell all thou hast and give it to the scum, love your enemies, etc., that we can’t think straight. By being so insanely compassionate to the point of stupidity towards all the hordes of destitute mud races of the world, the scum will soon Possess our country and we will soon be out in the cold, and our lands and properties despoiled as well.

I will vote for to abolish exemptions for churches and religious based organizations, if the left will vote to abolish the food stamp program. Dollar for dollar they’re just about par.

Zoe how about a look at BoB Jones

Last week, Bob Jones III, former president of Bob Jones University, apologized for statements he made in 1980, calling for people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender (LGBT) to be stoned to death.

“I take personal ownership of this inflammatory rhetoric,” Jones said in a statement. “This reckless statement was made in the heat of a political controversy 35 years ago.”

As a reminder, here is what Jones said back in 1980:

“I’m sure this will be greatly misquoted. But it would not be a bad idea to bring the swift justice today that was brought in Israel’s day against murder and rape and homosexuality. I guarantee it would solve the problem post-haste if homosexuals were stoned, if murderers were immediately killed as the Bible commands.”

    http://www.greenvilleonline.com/story/opinion/contributors/2015/03/29/bob-jones-apology-mean-years-later/70569136/

So Shapiro is predicting things. . .but what about this apology

“I take personal ownership of this inflammatory rhetoric,” Jones said in a statement. “This reckless statement was made in the heat of a political controversy 35 years ago.”

BJU now has it’s own GSA BJUNITY.

Seems like there is something going on . . . in a different direction than Shapiro is predicting.

and then we have the fun in Salt Lake City

Utah lawmakers and Mormon Church leaders celebrated a landmark moment Wednesday night, when a bill banning discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people passed the state’s Republican-controlled legislature.

The legislation passed Utah’s Senate last week, 23 to 5, and the House on Wednesday night, 65 to 10.

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2015/03/12/utah-legislature-passes-landmark-lgbt-anti-discrimination-bill-backed-by-mormon-church/

not insinuating racism. . .just extreme over-reaction. It happens with folks on both sides of the political aisle and even with those dancing the center line.

This camel story is just about folk freaking out when change occurs.

GLBT folk have seen many positive strides over the last 30 years. We have folk on the business side, the faith based side and across the country supporting change.

Shapiro’s crystal ball predictions seem. . .well a little bit over the top.

Rusty please go into a black majority area at night if you believe in equalism. The people claiming tax breaks are stolen money are the ones that receive more money from the govt than they contribute, they might pay a tax on cigs and booze but their housing, food, & healthcare are paid for by the productive.

This post was remarkably dumb. First, the florist shop in WA incurred a civil penalty of $1000. The shop’s owner didn’t lose her home, business, or savings. Do you make any effort to learn facts before you sit down to write? Second, if gay activists had acted like “fascists.” they would have destroyed the shop and killed the owner. Because that’s how fascists operate. It isn’t “fascist” to resolve non-violently a civil dispute through the legal process, in accordance with statutes which were enacted by a democratically elected legislature.

Reading through the hysterical, ill-informed rants, this blog reminds me of a conservative version of an SJW Tumblr blog. Try sane, informed commentary as an alternative.
