At Youngstown State University, some people got fed up with having “gay this” and “LGBT that” shoved in their faces 24/7/365.25 and decided to remind people there’s nothing wrong with being straight.
With this message:
Brought to you by the students that are sick of hearing about your LGBT pride. Nobody cares about what you think you are, or what you want to have sex with. We have nothing against your sexual orientation. We just don’t give a f*ck.
I suppose I Could clickbait this with “You Won’t Believe What Happened Next,” but, the reaction of the gay left and the University Administration was entirely predictable.
YSU’s public information officer, Ron Cole, told the Huffington Post that the posters were “completely bogus.”
“With the help of a bunch of students, we quickly went out to take them all down,” Cole said. “Reaction has ranged from concern to outrage. While we recognize the right to free speech, this is counter to our mission of being a diverse and accepting campus.”
Proving that Mr. Cole does not know the meaning of the words “free speech,” “diverse,” or “accepting.”
If I were the people who put them up, I would go right back and put them back up again.
Keep doing it until they are officially stopped, so they can confront those who stop them and ask them why they are against free speech, since they want to stifle what they are saying.
If they claim it is hate speech, confront them on that, and ask them exactly what part is hateful.
Also, contact Brietbart or some other conservative new organization and thell them when they will start, so they can document the hate from the left.
If I were the people who put them up, (I would go to http://www.glyp.com and find some talent to redesign that pathetic poster before) I would go right back and put them back up again.
😉
@ innocent bystander- if it looks to good people won’t think they are gay
The love that dare not speak its name has become the love that stands two inches from your face screaming its name 24/7 and sending hate messages and screaming bigot if you stop clapping and saying accolades to it.
I keep hearing people say “how brave he is for coming out” when now if someone comes out they expect nothing but celebrations and people to clear paths for them (or else they will sue or start a hate social media campaign).
I believe people are what they are and you should accept them but this whole left hate facism and down with straight people is getting old.
I agree with the sentiment. I think many gays/lesbians/etc make everything in their lives revolve around being gay/lesbian/etc.
Most of us don’t care. Our central belief of what makes us us isn’t who we think is attractive or who we want to have sex with.
I agree they should just keep rehanging the poster and I hope they get caught and the campus tries to discipline them and they sue. This would be the kind of suit FIRE would take on.
People who don’t do “special” things want to be “special” simply for being gay. If being gay isn’t a choice, why is it “special”? I didn’t choose to be bald, why should I be proud to be bald? Am I proud of my tennis skills? Yup. Am I a proud dad? Most days, haha. Am I proud of my volunteer work with at risk youths? You betcha. Again it simply proves that most gay people are stuck in middle school hell. Graduate already.
“Diverse and accepting” means that any Official Sacred Victim group is completely sacrosanct, beyond any hint of criticism and that traditionally successful groups –the Oppressors– must celebrate them and NEVER celebrate themselves. Cause that’s, like, H8ful and not “diverse and accepting.”
The whole game has revealed itself to be a fixed fraud from Day One.
It never stops.
If blacks/Hispanics/Indians/gays/bisexual/womYN/transexuals and people with species dysphoria can be proud of their tribe then why not whites and straight people?
Why is it that all these victims flock to the US and Europe and, even though they feel hated, will not leave? Why do native victims (e.g. leftist gays) stay? To hear them speak, they’d be better off in Canada, Mexico, and “Palestine”.
It’s been years since I’ve looked at the Kansas City Star (and even longer since I’ve actually *paid* to look at an issue) but I glanced at today’s issue at QuikTrip and, true to form, there’s a section on “domestic terrorism” featuring graphics about “white pride” and opposition to immigration… naturally.
No matter that domestic “terrorism” has its home in black “communities” where people kill each other with sad regularity or when blacks from out of town show up to have a riot (Baltimore this week)… or that we have a growing fifth column of Muslim terrorists (and their sympathizers) in this country – and so on.
And the local newspapers wonder why circulation continues to fall… aside from the tedious ethno-masochism, there’s the utter banality.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free speech thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances unless you are conservative or a member of an aggrieved minority.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free speech thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances especially if you are an aggrieved minority, but excluding conservatives and heterosexual white men.
ROFLMAO……….ND30 nailed it. It was only a matter of time.
“Also, contact Brietbart or some other conservative new organization and thell them when they will start, so they can document the hate from the left.”
Breitbart cannot decide whether it takes the 2-3%er progressive or libertarian position.
Either exclusive homosexual inclination is a perfectly natural- if rare- tendency, or it’s a supernatural omen. The Left wants it to be both. That is doomed to failure.
@ V the K: Restricted speech is free because it does away with annoying things like debate, and gives everybody time to parrot the party line. Diversity is acceptable in form and manner, not in thought. The Prog-Borg accepts all who join it, but permits no deviation from its programming, nor forms of society outside of itself.
Just Me (#5)
Hear! Hear! My sentiments too.
Good for them, wanting the same has become special by lefties. The same is the same. Deal with it cupcake.
I hope the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education is following this.
