It Slowly Dawns on the Left That They Have Created a Monster

“An Islamic regime must be serious in every field. There are no jokes in Islam. There is no humor in Islam. There is no fun in Islam. There can be no fun and joy in whatever is serious.” – The Ayatollah Khomeini

“Comedy in our progressive society today can no longer afford to be crass, or provocative for the sake of being offensive. Sexist humor and racist humor can no longer exist in comedy because these concepts are based on archaic ideals that have perpetrated injustice against minorities in the past. Provocative humor, such as ones dealing with topics of race and gender politics, can be crass and vulgar, but underlying it must be a context that spurs social dialogue about these respective issues.” – A college SJW

Jerry Seinfeld, a stand-up comedian who had a popular situation comedy on American television in the 1990s, recently lamented that colleges are no longer desirable places for comedians to perform because of Social Justice Warriors parsing every joke, every line, every gesture for something to take offense it. Being offended at something, in progressive culture, is a means of claiming status over those who are not offended by it. Mr. Seinfeld was attacked by the progressive left because progressive leftists have zero tolerance for truths that don’t fit into their narrative.

Now, a more contemporary comedian, Seth MacFarlane of ‘Family Guy’ has also weighed in on the intolerance of the social justice left.

While Caitlyn was still a man named Bruce, Stewie Griffin once called Jenner a woman, “an elegant, beautiful, Dutch woman.” In another clip, the show made a more blatant point when they showed Jenner dancing provocatively for a group of sailors with a pink boa.

When asked about the transgender issues and their relevance to the clips, MacFarlane refrained, saying that he was “too savvy to comment on the issue to the media.” MacFarlane elaborated that he would be happy to discuss the issue after the outrage passes, but for now, he said that his words could and would be used against him. “Even though I’m on the side of support, you just got to play it safe because the climate is just too charged.

“Once the outrage industry shuts down, I will be happy to have an adult conversation about all of this stuff anytime anyone wants…”

And yet none of these leftist comedians acknowledge that it is their own progressive leftist comrades who built the PC Tyranny they are complaining about. They didn’t speak out when the left decided that speech they didn’t agree with was “hate speech.” They didn’t complain when leftist were driving people out of their jobs for having the wrong opinion about gay marriage. They can’t blame conservatives for being humorless sourpusses because conservatives aren’t the ones trying to destroy people’s lives for saying the wrong word or having an unpopular opinion.

MacFarlane wants to have an adult conversation with a leftist? Good frackin’ luck, pal.

  2. By way of example he offered up Norman Lear’s “All in the Family,” the popular 1970s sitcom about a working-class family and its bigoted patriarch, Archie Bunker.

The show would never get made today, he said, and “part of that’s a bad thing, because it shows we’ve lost our taste for (its) satire.”

On the other hand, “it’s a good thing, because it shows we’re aware of the need to be sensitive to those outside the cultural majority,” he said.

“Everything in life is a tradeoff. Everything has a price. The price of advancing to racial equality and understanding is, we’re going to be a more sensitive nation.”

  3. If only someone at the GOP was bright and competent-enough to find a way to exploit this. Instead the damned-fools are fixated and hyper-ventilating about “Gay” marriage, and losing to the Inevitability of History. “Sign this pledge!” “Defy the SCOTUS!” “Cake Wars will lead to a Christian Holocaust!” Blather, blather, blather…

Meanwhile the sourpuss Lefties are HAVE taken-over Academia and the public popular culture with their flavorless “I’m Offended!”-meme of passive-aggressive victimhood. And the Islamofacists and ISIL just want to burn the World down.

  4. MacFarlane has always been a leftist weasel. He’s part of the whole monster that’s been created. I don’t think this turd is even capable of having an adult conversation.

  5. But there are still plenty of safe topics that the left is allowing you to laugh at:

Rednecks, Conservatives, Republicans of all stripes, Christians, Anybody in Flyover Country…

Because they won’t slit your throat or scream, “I’m offended!”

Well, at least, they didn’t until they became the ONLY safe topics.

  7. Anthony Berteaux cites Louis C.K. as an example of “What to do.”

So … I just love how he tries to school Jerry Seinfeld on what make good comedy. Try doing standup, a**hole. That kid lives in a bubble.

  8. Louis CK, another leftist turd. He would get a pass though for saying what he wants though because he’s another darling on the left. He sounds like he wants to give Obama head when he talks about him.

  9. That’s the problem. The outrage industry never shuts down. And colleges are churning out more graduates who know nothing but how to be outraged.

  10. Seth MacFarlane is part of that outrage community he is complaining about.

  11. Sounds like Seinfeld the liberal you-know-what would just as soon see free speech eliminated if it advances racial correctness and helps complete the ethnic cleansing of traditionally white countries.

V the K, you’re in great form as ever on this. You can do more in 9 paragraphs than lots of people in 9 volumes. Go, V, go!!!
