Ha! Marx, Hegel, et al. were worse. Oh man, I am a nerd. Existential realization aside, they will not. Allow me to explain.
1. Che, or whoever, says something brilliant, to them anyway.
2. Che says something counter to one of their talking points that is less central to economics.
3. They ignore it because, well, people make mistakes. Che must have been just a little backwards on that specific issue.
Why the same benefit is not extended to people who do not share wealth redistributive economic visions is probably a result of the immense importance of the economic policy in politics. Seriously, redistribution, or the opposition of it, trumps all else in the political world.
A redistributive state cannot be redistributive until it is master of all wealth. The master of wealth is master of society. Everything else is obfuscation.

Has the confederate flag been banned, or is it simply being taken down from public property?
I read that sales of Confederate flag merchandise went up by 3000%. Quite a trick, if sales of the flag were “banned”.

It’s the left’s new tribalism, which runs like this: if you belong to one of the identity groups that comprise the tribe, then so long as you tow the party line when called upon, and engage in self-condemnation as required, then you gain absolution from your “sins” – perhaps even some credits against future deviations – and then you can bask in your self-righteousness based on your good intentions. And perhaps even canonization after you die complete with sanitizing of your life history. All to serve the greater good.
Though all could be reversed in an instant if the tribe adopts a new party line that decides you are a heretic. Or rehabilitation if the line shifts again.
Objective reality, objective standards, and logical consistency have nothing to do with it.

What did Che think of Negro Europeanos?

It’s (not) funny how Che saying some awful things about black people that the loving and benevolent Left finds to be the most disturbing….

To the left the confederacy is more evil than communists even though communists have killed more people than confederate soldiers did.
Slavery was an evil that needed ending but the modern left spends a lot of time reliving that last while ignoring the fact that there are still cultures practicing slavery today but since they are third world cultures we are told not to judge.

Thanks for the post. I try to educate the students I work with at my college ( I am a librarian) about what a wretched person Che was. This quote is great.

You have it in a nutshell; everything the Lefties say about the Confederate flag, they say about the American flag.
I’m boycotting Amazon and Wally World as of this morning.
that should be a t-shirt that anti-communists wear. also one for all so-called peace lovers with che’s quote about how the revolutionist should be a killing machine.

Alas whenever I see someone with a che shirt I ask them if they have a smart phone, if they say yes I ask them to look up a quote with the following words.
Ah, great minds are thinking alike V the K. When the rage brigade decided to take the flame throwers to the Confederate Flag, I immediately came up with my current background image on Twitter which I think you’ll agree is apt. And while I was taught all about the atrocities Che afflicted I had no idea but shouldn’t be surprised at his truly racist attitudes. Too bad for him that the timing was off for him to be a contemporary of closet Eugenics Queen Margaret Sanger and they could have created an army of freak love children while forcing pre and post-birth abortions on others. https://twitter.com/PopArtNJ

While many retailers stopped selling Confederate flags, they still sell these offensive things.
