I kinda like Ray from Archer. Head intelligence analyst of an espionage firm and one of the firm’s few competent and sane employees. Plus, one of the few characters in the show who doesn’t drag his sex life into the office.
A show with a very blunt sense of humor. Think South Park and you’re in the general vicinity. “Walk into NASA, shout ‘Heil Hitler,’ and whoop, they all jump up!”

Unfortunately Sam Adama never got a chance to really be developed. I like how Caprica did it. No great fanfare, no screaming “It’s a gay couple! Look at them!” just simple tolerance.
Ray is a pretty good gay character, but what I like about Roger is that he’s actually a complete dick. Most producers are afraid to portray a gay character in any kind of negative light at all, which is why most of them are so damb tedious.
Anyway, American Dad really is ‘The Roger Show.’ There is no other reason to watch the show.

Well, the gay guy on Downton Abbey is a complete dick, plus you’ve got amazing period costumes and Minerva McGonnagal. But I see your point.

Roger is my favorite American Dad character; plus he is especially voiced to sound like Paul Lynde, one of my favorite icons growing up.
