The Democrats’ Propagandists

October 9, 2015 by V the K

First, CBS created a program whose heroine is a female Secretary of State, just as a Democrat former Secretary of State starts running for president. Coincidence, yeah, sure.

Now, NBC is reportedly developing a TV series based on Democrat Heroine/Abortion-fanatic/failed Democrat candidate for Governor of Texas Wendy Davis.

Written by Jennifer Cecil, the untitled project centers on a female Democratic senator who, after losing the Texas governor’s race, gets her world turned upside down. In the vein of The Good Wife, while she pieces her pride back together, she goes to work in the law firm of her best friend — a black male Republican — and discovers that with no political future to protect, she can unshackle her inner badass.

Wow! Can you imagine an unshackled-badass Wendy Davis?? Scary.

Could rival The Walking Dead for sheer can’t-watchedness.

I have no desire to watch anything based on abortion Barbie or Hillary.

The sad thing is you just know the female protagonists will be painted as perfect, always right politicians while the relublicans on the show will be caricatures that paint them as worse than Satan.

I hate books, movies, TV shows that are essentially propaganda and these shows have propaganda written all over it and they can always use the “it’s fictionalized” excuse when called on it.

I’d say OK to reversing Citizens United IF they treated this sort of stuff as “in kind” contributions subject to limits.

If we’re going to nullify the First Amendment, may as well go all the way and submit everything, news and other, to the FEC for sign-off.

@KCRob, same goes for conservatives too I suppose (or maybe not for you), so Fox News is just one massive contributor to the Republicant’s (as of today)? Maybe it’s time for all of us to be more sensible and less polarizing. I’m a conservative here who just wants to see some real contribution from our elected officials – and we have the upper hand on both legislative agendas and public support of it weren’t for the demagoguery and absolutism of the crazies.

    Guess what, Kevin?

    Go f*ck yourself.

You and your fellow insane Democrat bigots accused Sarah Palin of shooting Gabrielle Giffords, claimed Paul Ryan wanted to kill elderly people, and screamed that Mitt Romney was a murderer.

And then you come here and lecture us?

    You’re a liar, a hypocrite and a pervert. You’re a typical fascist liberal and nowhere near.a conservative.

No answer? That because you work for Hillary, shill?

Jeez North Dallas 30. Just another sign of how misdirected and crazy (re insane) this conversation has become. Stand down attack dog!!!! I have not connection to any democratic rival.

If one says that Fox News Channel is a shill for the republican party, which part? The so called establishment types, who have been accused of being RINOs, or the TEA Party/Young Turks (to use an old term) who want to see some actual conservative legislation going through the system?

The dems are now fairly unified* in ideological terms, the repubs are severely fragmented.

(*Much to the surprise of Will Rogers, if were still alive, who said that he didn’t belong to an organized political party–he was a democrat.)

The NBC networks ran the “I Love Hilary” show practically 24/7 in the last week. Her ratings dropped 10%. NBC parent has also committed $400 million to its online projects for the election cycle. Now we know why Mrs. Clinton wants Citizen United overturned. When you get $400 million in free money, you want to make sure you can hobble your opponent.
