Moonbat Actor Demands Ban on Fossil Fuels

Mark Ruffalo plays a scientist in the Avenger movies; this, to the left, makes him an authority on science. He is now demanding that California ban all fossil fuels.

Actor and environmental activist Mark Ruffalo is calling on California Gov. Jerry Brown to end the state’s usage of fossil fuels for oil extraction and move to 100 percent renewable energy.

“This is really mankind’s greatest threat, and it should take some serious problem solving on all of our parts,” Ruffalo told the paper. “And we don’t really have to give up anything to do it.”

Nothing except warm homes, affordable food, reliable transportation, middle class jobs, and… oh, yeah, Freedom.

Nothing important.

Speaking of Hollywood Moonbats, Quentin Tarantino… who because he makes incredibly violent movies featuring criminals is regarded as an authority on matters of law and order… says that the police are “murderers.”

The “Pulp Fiction’’ director took part in an anti-cop rally less than a week after an officer was killed on the job.

“When I see murders, I do not stand by . . . I have to call the murderers the murderers,” the director — notorious for his violent movies — told a crowd of protesters in Washington Square Park on Saturday, adding that cops are too often “murderers.”

Nevertheless, when his new film opens, he will protected by these same “murderers,” and not representatives of the#BlackLivesMatter movement.

  2. “Quentin Tarantino… says that the police are “murderers.”

Why do you slander folks who rally to shine light on real government tyranny? Did he say “cops are murderers”? Nope. He said they are “too often” murdering. Yet you parrot the talking the talking points of the state and slander him.

File this as example #464 showing conservatives don’t care about real tyranny and government oppression. Conservatives prefer their emotional fantasies where they equate government services to slavery and fascism while ignoring real examples of agents of the government abusing the citizenry with violence.

  3. So, how does Ruffalo heat his home(s)? Hope it’s not with oil. Does he drive a car? Does he have someone DRIVE him in a car? Guess that’s out, too.

Hopefully Tarantino never calls the police or expects their help, right? And if cops are murderers, why isn’t Tarantino dead? Amazing, the self-restraint on those murderers. Or is it just easier for the Left to punch targets that won’t hit back?

Time to start making the Lefties walk the walk. They talk the talk loudly enough. Long past time to make them put up or shut up.

Guns are bad? Okay, give up your armed security.

Climate change is the largest threat to our society? Okay, no more Air Force One flights to go golfing or raise cash for the varied Leftist Crime Syndicates.

Expecting people to cross the border legally is too much to ask? Good, open your OWN damn homes to them, then.

  4. Yay, little-letter mike is here to show off all he doesn’t know, again.

Tell me, little-letter mike, how many incidents are there to comprise “too many”? One? Ten? A hundred? It’s vague and insulting coming from Tarantino, and worse from you — you bleat about this as if it were tyranny, while conveniently ignoring ACTUAL tyranny coming from the Obama Administration.

People on this site DO care about real tyranny — but it’s painfully clear you do not. This is, oh, let’s say, example #464 of what an amoral, hypocritical shill you are and continue to be.

But please, feel free to shill with ALL YOUR MIGHT!

  5. I’m guessing that Mark Ruffalo has a much nicer and bigger house than me, possibly multiple homes (Hubby and I only have 1 2000 square foot residence). I’m also betting he drives nicer cars (we have a 1997 Pathfinder that we need for driving in the snow–it has always gotten me to my job in inclement weather, and as I’m “essential personnel” as an O.R. nurse, I need to be there. Our other car is a 2005 Honda Accord). I know for a fact he dresses way better than me, I’ve seen him grace the pages of glossy mags like People and In Style. I’ve seen him sporting lovely leather jackets (I don’t have one), beautiful boots and shoes (also leather), and designer suits from Italy (they had to fly here from a much longer distance than my made in the USA duds from American Apparel. I know for a fact he eats better than me–I can’t afford any chi chi restaurants that import exotic ingrediants. My big splurge is the occasional sushi dinner, and living in the PNW, that stuff comes mostly from around here or maybe Alaska. I’m sure that he flies a heck a of lot more than me (this year, I’ve flown coach to AZ, PA–where my family all lives, and an upcoming trip to Vegas from WA ). Plus he has probably traveled on private or charter planes. If not, I’m sure he’s flown First Class (which is NOT green because there are fewer seats in first class!)

Celebutards like Mark Ruffalo, Sting, Leonardo DeCaprio, George Clooney, Robert Redford and Barbra Stresiand and politicians like Nancy Pelosi, Al Gore, the Clintons, The Obamas, Dingy Harry, Gov. Brown, etc., etc. are THE biggest hypocrites when it comes to AGW! They are trying to force us into living in densely packed cities, utilizing mass transit, not eating red meat, recycling, reducing our car and plane travel, etc., etc. while they eat waygu beef, prance around in designer outfits, travel endlessly with large entourages in huge, armored vehicles, stay in luxury suites, have multiple homes, vacation in far flung and expensive resorts, travel by private planes, helicopters and yachts, the list is endless. If they feel so strongly about the future of this planet, then they should lead by example and walk the talk. I hate these frauds!

  6. #5 runningrn – Exactly right! California’s agriculture needs to suck up all the CO2 it can get, especially since it is such a water poor state. Mark Ruffalo is an idiot.

  7. Count this as example #11,366 of littleintellectualcandlepower mike completely f–king ignoring things that have actually been said in favor of something that rots inside his teeny leetle brain.

You can’t read this article and claim the authors of this blog are mindless advocates for a Police State:

  8. QT believes in standing up to ALL tyranny, federal, state, AND local?

I’ll make sure to see his movie twice instead of once now. And I rarely ever go to the movies anymore. I’ve been a fan of Quentin’s forever, so gotta pay him his due.

  9. Remember, V the K, SJWs like Mikey do three things — they lie, they double down on their lies, and they project.

Which is why we are treated to the hilarity of someone who wants toys banned from Happy Meals and for the government to dictate what size soda you buy screaming about “government oppression”.

This is simply projection of an outrageous slander to put you on the defensive. And the way you deal with it is to point it out and laugh at it. Even better, point out that mikey is simply advocating anarchy and murdering cops because of his own personal biases and bigotries.

  10. My favorite howling-hypocrite in this category is Viggo Mortensen who appeared on ‘Charlie Rose” whining about Bush’s Wars while wear some idiotic ant-violence tee-shirt. But it doesn’t bother him one-bit to star in movies where he’s beating-up and/or killing people with guns, swords, arrows or his bare-hands.

  11. Part of me honestly has to wonder just how much these Hollywood types belief the stuff they’re shoveling. Are they true believers, or are they just the equivalent of the people of the past who agree with everything King George says and proclaim its brilliance because they’re worried about being hurt if they dare to cross the line with royalty? In a lot of ways, I can’t help but find the Hollywood liberal elite to be the inbred nobles in the king’s courts of yesteryear.

  12. Kilroy, I think the Hollywood Libtards aren’t very smart, and they really do believe in this crap. They just don’t think they should have to be accountable to do anything about it. They think they are doing their part for the cause by hectoring and lecturing us proles. The actual changes must be made by the little people. The elites get to skate–because they are SO much better than us. They operate out of arrogance not fear, trust me on this!

  14. @runningrn: right on!

On the rare occasions when the numerically-challenged lefties will quantitate their allegations, some have stated that Climate Change kills 300 000 people a year worldwide. Let’s concede their point for the sake of argument. So, how many people are alive b/c of modern technology, compared to a scenario without it?? Well…. the world population in 1900 was approximately 2 billion. In spite of two World Wars in the twentieth century, it is now approximately 7 billion. What’s the difference? Material wealth: abundant food; efficient transportation and communication; access to effective medical care — virtually all the result of abundant fossil fuel-derived energy!

I own 15 large utility-intertied solar panels; some months my electricity bill is 0. I grow, or shoot, a lot of my own food. I strongly affirm that resource conservation is a conservative value. It is self-evident that we will convert to alternative energy in the future, or return to the Stone Age. But, for the nonce, we have a system that works, and that system has resulted in the sustaining of billions of human lives. That’s with a B, libs. that’s >> [much greater than] 300 000. So, we are doing much, much more good than harm with fossil fuels and modern prosperity.

  16. Just keep in mind folks: since at least the time of the Eastern Roman Empire, bureaucrats, actors, and prostitutes were all considered to fall under the same category: people who pretend to feel emotions in order to get money from you, and anybody who really believes them is a fool.

  17. Rich people who live in California (where in some spots 50 degrees means breaking out a parka-and this New England girl laughs) should shut up about how much we need fossil fuels.

Liberal energy policy hurts those who can least afford a rise in energy prices. Rich people don’t really feel a 10,15 or 30 cent increase in gas but the working poor living paycheck to paycheck feel it.

He needs to shut up and act.

  18. Rich people who live in California (where in some spots 50 degrees means breaking out a parka-and this New England girl laughs) should shut up about how much we need fossil fuels.

They will, when the capacity to provide them with the comforts to which they’ve become accustomed are no longer easily available, at any price.

They may not get the bone-chilling cold that many places in the US routinely receive, but they are not immune from the punishment of nature. I follow LA news somewhat regularly; it will be 92℉ this weekend in some locales; it was well over 100℉ far away from the desert at many points this summer. There are not enough solar panels in the world that will provide the energy needed to cool all the homes in CA to 72℉ in future heat waves. When you’re hot, it’s pretty difficult to get cool on your own (unlike being cold). And if the drought continues, they won’t have a swimming pool to attempt to cool off in.

18-When you talk about them not having recourses they simply believe that it will only be the little people that don’t have it and that they will be able to pay bribes/BJs to break the rules.

Why cant they just stick to virtue signaling things that don’t matter?
