Does anyone care to dispute this?
“No one, other than the Butcher Assad and the unspeakable al-Baghdadi, is as responsible for the humanitarian catastrophe in Syria as is President Obama. No one has committed more sins of omission, no one has so ruthlessly sacrificed the well-being of Syria’s people for his own ends, as the man in the White House. In all the world, only President Obama had the ability to do anything significant to prevent this catastrophe; in all the world no one turned his back so coldly and resolutely on the suffering Syrians as the man who sits in the White House today—a man who is now lecturing his fellow citizens on what he insists is their moral inferiority before his own high self-esteem.”
i will dispute it. There are 198 countries currently in the UN. Any one of them could have done something about ISIS. Jordan could have done it. Saudi Arabia could have. Even Iraq could have done it. France, Germany, Italy, Britain, and Spain all have armed forces large enough to eliminate ISIS all by themselves. if they only had some sort of archaic military co-operative structure … they could even work together to get it done faster and at less cost. Just because the USA is big enough to have done it doesn’t mean we own it. Simple fact, it’s not our problem. If the Moslems don’t care how many Moslems are being killed by other Moslems, why should we? How did this become OUR problem that our president must solve? if you want to show it is our problem, make the argument that our Secretary of State (Hillery and Kerry) fueled the rebellions that feed ISIS. Then make the argument that this was done illegally, contrary to American values and and unwisely. There are plenty of reasons to claim Obama is a disaster as a president. This isn’t one of them. Bringing 100K “Syrians” here IS.
I’ll dispute it to the extent of the implied order of complicity. Al Assad and al-Baghdadi at least are acting directly and openly. Obama is acting behind the shield of a claimed Better Idea and Superior Morality. He gets first rank ahead of the other two.

You are either naive, or your hatred of Obama blinds you to facts.
What good would it do to go into those towns with tanks? ISIS would melt into the population and…….then what?
The USA is not, nor should it be the world’s police force. Going in to Syria would mean USA servicemen and woman working check points, house-to-house searches, stopping cars on the street, stopping civilians and everything else that comes with occupying hostile territory.
I lean toward’s the professor’s position (with exceptions): we can’t police the world.
There’s an argument to be made that western meddling in the ME has provided a catalyst for the current chaos. You’d think that, by now, westerners would have figured out that we cannot figure out the Muslim mind (obligatory: not all Muslims are terrorists, there are moderates, etc… but enough individuals yield a culture that is not compatible with western society).
Europe’s fatal generosity is the reason the Continent is overwhelmed (and likely lost). It’s Hitler’s revenge: malignant nationalism morphed into malignant self-loathing and disdain for one’s own cultural inheritance. We’re seeing the result: sniveling self-abasement by far too many westerners unable (or unwilling) to see the risk.
BHO’s contribution to the mess is that his (and Hillary’s) meddling (along with the EU) have made it worse than it already was. The Arab Spring was a spring severe weather outbreak. The sad part is that so many people all over the world still believe, in the absence of evidence, that BHO gives a damn about them.
