If you want to go hunt with a gun, you can go to the gun range, you can pick up your gun at the gun range, fire it there, and then you leave it there and you go home. And, if you want a gun at home, you ought to either be a law enforcement officer, or you ought to go through an extensive licensing scheme, like you have to pass like a driver’s license, you have to pay a tax, you have to have insurance.
Like having a gun locked away at a range several miles away is going to do you a whole lot of good when a violent Democrat felon pays a call on you in the middle of the night.
One also assumes that “extensive licensing scheme” refers to the highly bureaucratic processes used in NYC and DC to ensure that no one other than the politically-connected is ever approved.
It also sounds an awful lot like the gun control laws in France, and we know how well those work at protecting citizens from violent gunmen.
