The Laws of Cause and Effect Continue to Baffle the Left

December 10, 2015 by V the K

As the left has launched a multi-pronged crusade to enact “tighter gun laws” (en route to the ultimate goal of outlawing the private ownership of firearms), Americans have been responding by buying more guns than ever. In fact. 2015 looks like it will be another record year for gun sales.

The left is baffled and horrified by this phenomenon. They cannot understand why people are accelerating their purchases of a thing the left wishes to restrict and ultimately ban. “We’re trying to make it harder to buy guns, but people are just buying more. This must be the NRA’s fault.”

They like to claim that gun sales are based on “fear,” which is an underhanded way of calling gun owners cowards. Because, of course, they don’t have the cobblestones to say it to our faces.

If the left were able to appreciate cause and effect and basic economics, they would understand. The left has been on a roll with socialized medicine and gay marriage, and may one day succeed in imposing extreme gun control laws like New Jersey, New York, DC, Chicago and California nationwide. They deny this is their intent, but ten years ago, they were lying about their intentions vis-a-vis gay marriage, too. Nobody trusts the left to be honest about guns or anything else.

It’s only natural for people to horde in advance of an anticipated scarcity; that’s basic economics and human nature. The left is utterly clueless about both.

As for fear, there is nothing in the least cowardly or irrational about taking responsibility for one’s self-defense. What is irrational is expecting protection from a Government that cannot distinguish between a terror attack and “workplace violence.”

The left is right. My next gun purchase will be based on fear. I don’ fear a criminal. I don’t even fear a jihadist. My fear is that the idiots, which is the left, will somehow win in Court an abridgement of our rights under the Second Amendment. I pray for the health of our conservative justices in SCOTUS, and that they remain active until after Obama goes, and hopefully a Republican wll appoint conservatives to the bench, not those light leftists that the Bush’s foisted upon us.

I am planning on purchasing three guns over the next six months. I expect to pay a premium and perhaps have to wait for some of them.

Of course people are buying guns. One of the primary roles of our government is to protect its citizens. The last decade and a half have taught us that the Feds and to some extent state and local are failing to do that. So, we have to protect ourselves.

I will be purchasing my first firearm in the next month: my long-coveted Beretta FS9. I have never even SHOT a gun much less owned one in my life. That’s gonna change. I’ve had enough.

I will take any Bush SCOTUS nominees over any Obama nominees any day of the week. But if anyone thinks that any future Republican president will nominate a future Scalia or Thomas, think again. I’m afraid those days are gone forever. Should they try, the nominees will be Borked to the maximum extent and will be portrayed to make Donald Trump look like a CAIR member.

The Left is the gun industry’s biggest boon. I know everyone has had so many years of listening to the Left’s false narratives & fantasies of utopia. So much that it seems like they’re invincible or a force to be reckoned with. I wouldn’t worry too much about it, because there’s more than just a little pushback from the population. The Democrats’ house of cards, built when they’re in power, always falls apart after they’re ousted. Hopefully, we won’t have a George Bush -like fool to rip apart the possibilities after the Dems are gone. The Neocons were a mistake, let’s vote for a real Conservative, or at least a Republican who’ll not pander to or sympathize with the Left’s issues. Our guns are safe & multiplying. Cruz would be a good pick but if it turns out to be Trump, then so be it. Say no, to Jeb at every opportunity. It’s time to start whispering in everyone’s ears.

This post definitely represents the blogger’s frustrations. Keep a perspective, guys. Take no prisoners.

The left has basically ensured that, during football season, the hunting and fishing department of the store I work at is more busy than the team sports or apparel section. It just plain makes me smile that they’re confused over why this is.

I would prefer Cruz over Trump: Cruz is channelling that resentment and frustration in the Republican Party quite nicely, but he doesn’t have as much of a propensity towards calling his critics fatheads. Better either over Jeb! or Kasich.

I expect to pick up AK47s and like off the ground should civil war ensue. I’ve never felt the need to exercise my right to bear arms as yet. So sorry some of you live near the criminal and borderline psychotic.

Yeah, but will you know how to use it, or will you just spray and pray?

So sorry some of you live near the criminal and borderline psychotic.

Actually, I moved away from DC six months ago.

My husband is going to work in Saudi, and me and the kidlets are visiting him in July. I am going to buy several guns before they put me on the no fly list, and make it illegal for me to buy guns.

    Sean L.,

I agree. I also don’t trust Trump. Five years ago, 2/3 of his donations were to democrats. I think all politicians are opportunists, but I think Trump readily admits that he has bribed politicians. That doesn’t seem conducive to a trusting relationship with the voters. Cruz is the only one that went to Washington in the field, and tried to at least vote with his constituencies’ wishes.
