The Best Fake Hate Crimes of 2015

January 1, 2016 by V the K

The Daily Caller has a nice run-down of several of the Hate Crimes staged by the left in order to promote their narrative that Hate Crimes are  pervasive in the United States. Including this one:

In August, an 18-year-old gay man alleged that members of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity at the University of North Dakota threw him out of a party because he is gay. The man, Haakon Gisvold, also claimed that Lambda Chi members beat him, choked him, stripped him and robbed him — all while shouting anti-gay insults. He said he hid in some bush wearing only his underwear until some kind soul came along with some clothes. “I just want those guys to learn from this,” Gisvold said at the time, according to a comically naive Huffington Post story. After an investigation that included identifying 150 possible witnesses, investigators concluded that exactly zero evidence exists to support any of Gisvold’s hate-crime allegations. In reality, a frat member explained, Gisvold became belligerent because he was asked to leave. Investigators asked the county prosecutor to file a criminal charge against Gisvold for providing false information to police. (RELATED: SURPRISE! I do find it interesting that not a single one of the stories was ever investigated as a hate crime going the other way.

But consider: why would a black student try to implicate whites with signs obviously reminiscent of Jim Crow except for reasons of hatred, just to name one example?

And since crimes with an anti-Christian bias number about 10% of anti-LGBT crimes, and this post convinces us anti-gay crimes aren’t “pervasive”, we can similarly rest easy that there is no anti-christian bias in this country to worry about, either.

hmm_contrib, do you always indulge in strawman arguments?

@ Craig Smith: That’s all he has, really.

I always carry spare clothes to give to people hiding in the bushes. Oddly there are people like him that have fantasies of that sort of thing happening. Wear a pair of Doc Martins out to a gay bar and someone will want to lick your boots.

One would think, hmm_contrib, that you would be appalled at people faking hate crimes and demand prosecution for wasting peoples’ time, resources and reputation, if you were truly concerned about ending them.

But since hate crimes are at best a PR exercise for the left and at worst an example of how they wish to use government to torment anyone who disagrees with them, your “meh” attitude is quite understandable; in your world, it’s not the crime that is the issue, it’s whether or not you can use the crime to your personal advantage to get perks.
