Communism is socialism carried to its logical extreme. Fascism is socialism with a veneer of capitalism. Democratic socialism is when the people ask for socialism.
I was taught by my Political Science professor in college, back in the early 1990’s that Socialism was Communism without the required violent revolution (Marx did not believe it was possible to achieve true Socialism without a violent revolution) nor the required atheism (Marx believed that in order to be truly free from the borgeousie’s attempt to control you, you had to reject all religion, as it was only there to keep the proletariat from revolting). To check, ask any Socialist which of the 10 planks of Socialism outlined by Marx in the Communist Manifesto that they disagree with.
A liberal is someone who likes the idea of Socialism, but thinks they can stop short of full Socialism, but shows absolutely no inclination to even slow their headlong rush.
Democratic Socialism is the mice belling the cat.

There are different aspects of Fascism and Socialism. When it comes to the running of businesses:
In Socialism, the government owns all the businesses. They will claim that it is the people who own it, but the people don’t get to directly control it, so, it is the government that owns it.
In Fascism, businesses are privately owned but the government tells the business exactly what they will produce, how they will produce it, when they will produce it, and how much they will produce.
Socialist/communist one has an AK-47.

Thanks to you and to Ace. One of the reasons I deactivated my Fb account (and yes Fb is evil) is I could not stand the barrage of stupid truly stupid memes being posted and shared by friends and relatives that normally I love and respect. Especially irritating are the “aw heck socialism is quite nice actually… and since we already have a little why not go the whole way?” memes. Look, we have police and firefighters so… sure… let’s go Full Bolshevik. What’s most offensive is people think this stuff is clever and intelligent.
