“I legitimately feared for my life,” a freshman who identifies as Latino told The Daily Beast. Another student told the publication, “Some of us were expecting shootings. We feared walking alone.”
Because they saw the words “Trump 2016” scrawled in chalk on a sidewalk.
It must be terrible to live in constant, abject fear that someone might say something rude to you, or challenge the things you believe with different arguments and stuff (i.e. “Hate speech”).
Not even Bill Maher is defending this bullshirt.
At least they are somewhat aware of how stupid they look to the rest of America and the world.
Really, what well-adjusted individual wants to be this:

what the hell are they going to do if trump wins the nomination and there are trumps signs all over the country? I wonder what the president(sic)of the university would have said if the students were scared out of their wits by a Hillary 2016 sign.
@ V the K: There’s a German word for human beings deserving of nothing but contempt. Of course, it’s a little historically charged…
There are times when I understand the contempt and loathing people in other countries have for us.
If you’re a gay man in, say, Saudi Arabia, what must you think of “adults” cowering in fear at the site of a name chalked on the sidewalk.
If you’re living in a country like North Korea where insufficient worship of that piece of crap running that place can land you and your family in the gulag, what would you think of students that wilt at the prospect that Milo might be in town to give a talk (assuming you were allowed to see any news from outside the place).
These students are a fine example of useless.
Human Rights Campaign needs a bigger list of companies that cater to or are operated by 2%er line and staff for the special snowflakes amongst themselves. This is the 2%er progressive/libertarian paradigm brought forth by the fraud of Alfred with the revision of the ALIMPC in 1955.
Ah. So, “masculine,” “straight-acting” men who have sex with men are no longer f@ggots. (Or maybe there never were? Haha, nope.)
Got it. Thanks for the update! 😛
From the Morris Albert tune:
Feelings, nothing more than feelings,
Trying to forget my sighting of chalk
Teardrops rolling down on my face,
Trying to forget my sighting of chalk
Feelings, for all my life I’ll feel it.
I wish I’d never seen that sign
My snowflake heart won’t mend

I agree with Maher (and I don’t say that every day). I want to drop kick these brats into a place with real suffering: Paris during the Bataclan or Charlie Hebdo massacre, Cologne on New Year’s Eve, Mali, Brussels, San Bernardino, Fort Hood, the Boston Marathon, or the WTC or Pentagon on 9-11.
Leftist logic 101: if you worry that some (repeat: some) Muslim immigrants might be terrorist Trojan Horses, then you are a paranoid, xenophobe, and Islamophobe. (The New Republic said that the “GOP Is the Party of Fear.” And MSNBC said, “GOP Fear of Refugees Spins Wildly Out Of Control.”)
But if you wet your pants after seeing some graffiti (not threatening anyone, BTW, just expressing an opinion different from yours), then you are “legitimately afraid.”
and I agree with Tom (above)
Their only context of real world outside our borders is Spring Fling Acapulco and the idiocy of what has been fed to them about other countries and conditions.
They did not see any pictures of France or Nicaragua or Argentina, Ft Hood etc. All that is pleasantly covered over so as to not offend the little ones.
This is the measure of the Leftist Media success. They claim they are seriously in fear because otherwise, they would be irrelevant and have no purpose.
The baby fascistas must shut down anyone else at any expense.
Long live the fighters of Muad’Donald….
This cupcake needs a history lesson and thank his lucky stars that he’s not going to college 45 years ago, or he’d be saying the same thing after being deposited by a chopper somewhere in a remote part of Vietnam. In that particular instance, he’d have a right to fear for his life.
Perhaps, these special snowflakes should spend their spring break in North Korea, Cuba or Venezuela. They get to see what real socialist paradises are really like.
These precious snowflakes would have needed diapers on 9/11. I was living 15 miles from the White House, and Air Force fighters were circling overhead. I was fearful that one would be shot out of the sky and fall on a residential area. Now that is fear.
Why nobody in this university doesn’t challenge these snowflakes with critical thinking, I don’t know.
“Now…please…explain to me how someone writing on a sidewalk might trigger shootings. And be specific, please.”
Hopefully, by forcing them to actually THINK they might realize just how absurd they are being.
The idiots at New Republic need to learn to distinguish between fear and vigilance. Vigilance is proactive and is for the purpose of protecting the citizenry. Fear is what those snowflakes have at the thought of a President Trump. They better stack up on diapers.
At prestigious (read: expensive) Emory University, no one asks you what you think. They ask you what you feel. In the real world, no one cares how you feel. Because they’ve never been taught to think instead of feel, these coddled brats will never understand why they are viewed as imbeciles.

To #14 and 16:
It is also not recommended that administrators question the feelings of students as it may diminish and minimize the “lived experience” of the student. I have been redirected by fellow administrators when I suggest that critical thinking should be applied to situations such as this.
They should write in cursive so most leftists wouldn’t be able to read.
HilLIARy took $40million from nations that execute gays, but leftist only sweated $2k Brandon Eich donated to a successful voter campaign
CrayCrayPatriot masculine tops always have it easier, its called supply/demand.
Leftists want it to be legal for you to take a dump in the street everywhere not just San Fran and NYC. The smell of progress.

Ok really how many work related trips did San Fran pubic workers take to North Carolina on the other coast? Big Sacrifice there

Where I went to college, we’d call him a “liberal-arts poofter“.
…And future McDonalds drive-thru window attendant. “Murplh umph fries mup *pop* vert?“
Did you go to college (“university”?) in the British Isles? 😉
No, but it was the dying-days of the Age of Monty Python…
Would *anyone* really be shocked were we to learn that the chalkings were done by the bed-wetters themselves?
