Fundamentalist Christians Blame Social Media for Homosexuality; Demand Death Penalty for Homosexuality

April 1, 2016 by V the K

Cue the outrage.

Oh, wait, did I say Fundamentalist Christians? That’s a typo. I meant Mohammedan Clerics.

A newspaper in Saudi Arabia has reported that prosecutors in the country are pushing to enforce the death penalty for homosexuality – because social media is turning people gay.

I guess we can call off the outrage.

I searched and searched but could not find where this Shoebat guy is in a position of power of any kind. That is the difference. One is rhetoric, one is real. Too bad people like rusty can’t tell the difference. You can fix ignorance but you can’t fix stupid.

Swanson is notorious for rants asserting that the Bible calls for the death of gay people, although he claims he’d give them a chance to repent. Both before and, for a time, after the November conference, Cruz and Tyler refused to denounce the hateful message spouted by Swanson.

But as Rachel Maddow pointed out on her MSNBC program Friday night, the Cruz campaign eventually quietly distanced itself from both Swanson and his event.

“Senator Cruz is passionate about religious liberties,” Tyler wrote in an email to USA Today. “Many respected organizations were sponsoring [the conference], but, given these offensive comments, it was a mistake for Senator Cruz to appear at the event.” (In an unrelated development, Cruz today asked for Tyler’s resignation “after he distributed a video that falsely depicted Marco Rubio dismissing the Bible,” CNN reports.) rusty, give it a rest. We bring up atrocity after hate speech after actual executions of gay by Islam, and not just radicals, but governments, in Saudi Arabia and elsewhere, and you bring up the same tired people who are such a ridiculous minority in Christianity and condemned by most Christians.

Can’t you come up with anything new?

I have far bigger issues with Cruz, namely his win-at-all-costs mentality, his false working-class hero shtick, and his apparent ability to believe something despite mountains of evidence to the contrary.

Blaming social media? That’s almost as bad as thinking sitcoms are making people gay. Well, now that the GOP is legalizing anti-gay and anti-trans discrimination across the South, even in the odd locale where it was illegal, I’m sure people will think twice (about letting Christian fundamentalists know).

Hmmm_contrib, see the responses to rusty above, since all you’re doing is trying to repeat the same sad trolling.

Moreover, I will note the correlation is 100% between “Democrat Party members who screech about these laws” and “Democrat Party members who support and endorse Cuba and Iran, both of which as a matter of state policy and with the full support of their leadership imprison, torture, and execute LGBT people”.

In short, you and rusty are stinking hypocrites and bigots, just like the Obama Party for which you whore yourself and are incapable of criticizing; furthermore, you are cowards, who attack Christians because they don’t punch back and cower before Muslims because they do.

Americans care as much about gay Muslims as they do about Muslims and Middle-Easterners (outside of Israel). Hundreds of thousands died in Iraq thanks to our invading the country in 2003. The minute you start caring about the mindless deaths of ALL Iraqis (gay, straight, etc), I’ll give as much of a specific sh!t about gay Saudis.

If you actually gave a damn about gay Saudis being unrightly and grossly targeted, more than the fact that the Idiot Gay Left doesn’t give a rat’s ass about them (I personally wish they did, but it doesn’t seem to be in their interests), then that will be a change for the better on this blog.

CrayCray, please figure out that caring about something is not the same as doing something about it. What makes you think we DON’T care about the thousands that died in the invasion of Iraq? What makes you think we don’t care about the thousands that died before that? What evidence do you offer? Only that we haven’t SAID anything about it? Lack of evidence is only proof of lack of evidence, not proof that evidence does not exist.

We care about what is happening NOW, that we CAN do something about, rather than wring our hands over the past that we cannot change.

    CrayCray @ #11:

Did someone just change the destination in this post?

The “idiot” Gay Left (your term, not mine) refuses to step up (or is it “come out”?) on the fact of Muslim hypocrisy, hyperbole and genocide in regard to homosexuality. These are the plural marriage, child molesting, genital mutilating, gay bashers (they literally bash gay heads) who get their orders straight from their Imams who get their orders straight from the hadith and the Quaran and a few one on one’s with Allah.

Meanwhile, Rusty and CrayCray are – “oh, look a squirrel” – all wrapped up in changing the topic and snipe hunting the internet for examples of Christian adherents who are stuck on stupid.

First, CrayCray and Rusty, no one ever said that every adherent of Christianity was without fault or sin. So, big deal if you find either a sinner or a “true believer” whose ladder doesn’t go all the way to his attic.

But it says a very great deal that you two find it necessary to always point in the other direction every time this rot and crap imbedded in Islam surfaces.

Saudis have been exporting Islamic hatred of everyone but Muslims for many years. Yet, you delicate, snowflake, atheist gays seem to think that you are safe from radical Islam’s hatred of homosexuality for some mystical and yet unstated reason. But it goes beyond that. You actually have a knee-jerk reaction which causes you to deflect the conversation and attempt to draw attention away from Islam.

So, in the CrayCray and Rusty version of gay culture, what is it about Islam that you admire so much that you will not permit their lunacy concerning homosexuals to be the topic of discussion?

Let me guess. You know gay, liberals who come from the Muslim divide and you don’t want to offend them on the social level. You know that there is a “subculture” of local Muslim gays who go through the motions of cultural Islam, but are still safely and openly living the gay life. They drink alcohol, they have same sex liaisons, they play along with Ramadan, and pretty much don’t do the rug bobbing at the mosque. They are Muslim lite and you are overly sensitive about them. These guys are “good” Muslims. They don’t care if women are covered with drapery, because they don’t care about women much at all.

So, if that is what is causing your logic to go counter-culture every time this Islamic homophobia arises, you should be aware that your tiny counter-culture world is dramatically different from the societal mainstream of worries and concerns.

Every place that ISIS had ruled, the infidels have been enslaved and the Muslim “strays” have been dealt with in severe ways.

    Wake up.

#17 CrayCray, cut me a break. We are not speculating that having Saddam around today would be worse. The point is, he isn’t. The point is, not Iraq. The point is Islam, in general, is worse to gays than anything Christianity hands out.

    CrayCray,

Saddam was the Iraq version of Libya’s Gaddafi and Syria’s Bashar al-Assad and Egypt’s Mubarak.

You and your Obama and Shrillary sure have pitched a bitch about what ChimpHitlerBush did to Saddam, but somehow are incapable of connecting the dots when it comes to overthrowing Mubarak and Gaddafi and undermining Bashar al-Assad.

Mid-Eastern dictators like Saddam, Mubarak, Gaddifi and Bashar al-Assad have all had no illusions whatsoever about the crazies and their Imans of sectarian Islam. They pay lip service to the religion, but they make it crystal clear that all temporal authority rests with them, not with a nascent theocracy.

So, CrayCray, when you drag out the Saddam bloody shirt, you are tacitly and hypocritically ignoring the disastrous “Arab Spring” crap Obama and Shrillary unleashed.

What’s up with that? Are you profoundly ignorant or are you playing everyone else for fools?

@ Craig Smith: I’ve seen various riffs on the Gadsden Flag that mock the Establishment and Beltway types. One shows the snake belly-up with a cowboy boot on it captioned, “Please tread lightly, it tickles”; one that shows a leg captioned “NSA Domestic Spying,” and the snake says, “Meh, so long as it’s for national security reasons, I’m fine with it”; and one with the snake tied to a stake and with a ballgag captioned, “Oh please tread on me.”

One can only assume that McConnell, Grahamnesty, and Crybaby Boehner are the latter sort… or, you know, actually in cahoots with the Left and laughing at all of us over glasses of chianti. Either makes sense to me.

Oh I don’t know about that…there’s some apparent innate appeal to Hillary (particularly among gay men and older women). Perhaps that’s the reason why. One particular pantsuit is well-suited for a BDSM performance; all that’s missing is a hood.
