An LGBT (Lesbian Gay Bullying Totalitarian) social justice wanker decided to make some sort of point about gay suicides or something by hanging nooses in rainbow colors from a tree at an Asylum of Higher Learning in Tennessee. However, some of the other inmates got all scared and offended and stuff.
“At Austin Peay University in Tennessee, the campus erupted in outrage when rainbow nooses were discovered hanging from a tree. Social media exploded and every social justice warrior on campus felt the need to express their displeasure. But later, it was discovered that the nooses were an art project by a student looking to draw attention to the high number of suicides in the LGBT community.”
Yeah, not even the wankers can understand each others’ points any more. Besides, isn’t it cultural appropriation for an LGBTQAA69IAXXXYZ artist to use nooses in a display?
Would the nooses have been okay if Sarah Palin and Ted Cruz had been hanging from them?
I’m not really sure how hanging rainbow colored nooses in a tree was supposed to help suicidal gay folk, but whatever.
Incoming jokes about the GayKK
I love it when they get so offended they turn on each other. Fun times.
I don’t see what it accomplished, anyway.
Firstly, while suicide is higher, it is only slightly higher, lending credence to the idea of looking at the causes of suicide in general rather than spotlighting any one group.
Secondly, why do they spotlight suicides but not the higher rate of homicides by gays on gays?
“Art” project? Well, if you have to explain it to the viewer then it really is NOT art.
@ charles: But true art doesn’t have meaning, it’s up to the observer to give it meaning!
I can’t believe “My assignment deserves an A, your just not grading it right” is a valid argument in art. Reason number 503 why, if I ever adopt or get all mad scientist and produce my own child in a laboratory, I will not permit them to become an artist on pain of disowning.
@Sean, this is why I put art down as communication. If the artist isn’t trying to communicate anything, it is not art in my book.
With regard to the “artwork” however, it seems the artist is trying to communicate something, and I disagree with what they are trying to communicate.
It seems, at least to me, that the artist is trying to say that suicide is much higher among gay youth than straight youth. It is, but not by very much. This lends credence to the idea that suicide should be looked at in general, rather than concentrating on a particular subgroup. They have, in fact, done this, and discovered some general underlying causes, none of which have to do with societal acceptance, as it turns out.
I also find it curious that so much time is spent on gay suicide rates and not much on gay on gay murder rates which are MUCH higher than the general population.
These wankers don’t have the IQ necessary to go to college. Maybe a vocational school for sweeping sidewalks would aid them in life.
The student managed to get attention all the way to Gay Patriot for their project.
Moral relativism and situation ethics are to blame for this entire kerfuffle.
The public square will not permit ”no holds barred” free expression simply by applying the “art” label to any conceived notion one might carry out.
Moral relativism and situation ethics are merely dodges for delaying the inevitable fact that sooner or later the “slip” in the slippery slope becomes slip hitting the fan.
It is not even sad that social justice snowflakes cower and weep at the sight of their own shadows. A person who is constantly seeking attention, who displays lavish emotionalism, who is excessively impressionistic and given to theatricality is likely suffering from Histrionic Personality Disorder. The greater the feeling of being under appreciated, the greater the likelihood is that the person will become self-focused and given to histrionics.
To try to bend the public square to accommodate the irrationality of the disordered mind is futile. The poor little snowflake needs the attention and to eliminate the cause of his angst is merely frustrating to his unstable self.
These snowflakes are lot of little princesses yearning to be queens.
Yep, if that doesn’t describe Cinesnatch, nothing else does.

Sticks and stones can break my bones but nooses are OK as long as they are placed by members of the GayKK
