Foreign Gay Dude’s Murder Is of Little Political Value to the American Gay Left

April 27, 2016 by V the K

In Bangladesh, a US Government employee who was editing a magazine for LGBT folk was murdered by a mob.

A group of assailants stormed the home of Xulhaz Mannan, a staffer for the U.S. Agency for International Development, stabbing him and a friend to death, police told The Daily Star. Mannan was a senior editor of Roopbaan, the first gay rights magazine in the country.

The government of Bangladesh condemned Monday’s slayings, as well as other killings of secular bloggers in recent months, and blamed it on incitement by the country’s Islamist political opposition.

However, this particular murder is not politically useful to the left because there is no way for it to be used as a cudgel to bully American Christians into submission. So, it’s going to be a big, “So what? It didn’t happen in my country. Who the f–k cares?” to all the people on the left who go into fits of outrage when an American Christian declines to participate in a gay wedding by serving cake or giving up their house. Or, for that matter, when a tranny has to use the bathroom that corresponds to their chromosomes.

Towleroad (the Big Gay U.S. Blog on the Left) reported on it two days ago:
    http://www.towleroad.com/tag/xulhaz-mannan/

    They also followed up:
    http://www.towleroad.com/2016/04/gay-attacks-bangladesh/

They also relayed a statement put out by Secretary of State Kerry:

The men and women of the U.S. State Department join me today in condemning the barbaric murder of Mr. Xulhaz Mannan, a locally-hired employee of our embassy in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and another of his activist friends. We are profoundly saddened by the loss of one of our own in such a senseless act of violence, and we extend our deepest condolences to Xulhaz’s family and loved ones.

Xulhaz, who worked for the United States Agency for International Development, was a trusted colleague, a beloved friend, and advocate for human rights and dignity in Bangladesh. In many ways, he embodied the spirit of the people of Bangladesh and the pride with which they guard their traditions of tolerance, peace, and diversity.

We offer our full support to the government of Bangladesh as they investigate these murders and bring the perpetrators to justice. We remain committed to the principles that were so important to Xulhaz, and we promise to support all those who work on behalf of tolerance and human rights in Bangladesh and around the world.

My local newspaper which reports on people who don’t smile at gay people will never ever run a story on this killing. Now, if a Christian did the same thing in the same country to a Muslim, it would be front page news for about two days. The comment section would have at least 100 comments on how evil Christianity is in its entirety. If it was a Catholic, double the number of comments.

Yes, if this man would have been killed by a mob of knife wielding Christianists in a white, Christian country, it would be ALL over the media. We would have known every detail of this horrendous crime and every facet of the poor, slain victim including all his unrealized hopes and dreams and how he only wanted to make the world a better place until his bright light was snuffed out by the hate of a thousand bigots… Sorry, Cray Cray, but you just proved that with just these tersely worded statements that this man’s death didn’t serve the agenda, so it is a small blurb instead of the flowery, grandiose prose that would be erected as a memorial to him had he died at the hands of the “right people”. Since it was just Islamists, then hey, no big deal–kind of like Ambassador Chris Steven’s death and the details surrounding it–like the fact his body was molested after the fact. You wouldn’t want people to get the “wrong” idea about Islam and judge Muslims harshly…

As far as the Left is concerned, ANYTHING a frenzied mob of Mohammedans do is acceptable…if later officially “regrettable” when called on it by the Right.

OK, so Cinesnatch pulls a Rusty and cuts-and-pastes a blithe statement from the State Department. Yet he doesn’t condemn the actions of the Muslims.

    Typical.

I think you might be thinking of the island formerly-called Ceylon. Bangladesh used to be East Pakistan, before that it was the eastern portion of Bengal region of India.

CrayCray-Dam how many months has Towelroad spent posting the picture of the white woman in Philly that beat up 2 gays last year?

Which story should be bigger news the white woman who beat up 2 gays or the 3 gay jews beheaded on the anniversary of 911 who lived right next door to the boston marathon moslems? A year before they attacked the marathon.

OT- isn’t Bangladesh one of those nations people go to when they want to have sex with kids?

I never said they would completely ignore it, I said they wouldn’t care about it.

So, you’re the arbiter of the degree someone cares?

isn’t Bangladesh one of those nations people go to when they want to have sex with kids?

Xulhaz Mannan worked for the U.S. embassy. He is of Bangladeshian descent.

The fact that you still haven’t – even though you have been called out about it – speaks volumes about your character (or lack thereof).

Admit it – you find conservatives to be more of a threat then Mohammedan terrorists. Period.

    Sucks to be you, Cinesnatch.

Both you and Helio are on a kick right now that because I don’t fall rank and file under your Islamophobia, I somehow endorse militant Muslims.

Delusional. It actually sucks to be you.

    Not really, CrayCray.

It’s just a matter of pointing out that right now you and your fellow “anti-violence” thugs are out in the street flipping over police cars, burning flags, and screaming something about how this country should be Mexico.

And, as you invariably do, you will scream and kick and cry that it’s Republicans’ fault for “triggering” you.

What Helio and Peter have figured out is that you haven’t a single objective principle in your body and that the only things that motivate you are power and selfishness.

So when sharia does come along, you will invent some warped rationale for why opposing it is “Islamophobia”, just like you are rationalizing why opposition to men in womens’ bathrooms is “transphobia”.

Helio and Peter haven’t figured out anything. They’re a crackpot team of ninnies, and you’re their mascot. However, unlike you, I never had figured them to be so dense that they’d have doubts that I oppose heaps of what comprises Sharia Law–a code of of often obscenely offensive laws which require immeasurable modification or just straight up disposal.

Of course, that’s what you say today.

But when your Obama Party says that worldview is “Islamophobic”, you’ll be right back here like your mikey lecturing and screaming at us about how beautiful sharia is.

Just like how you previously weren’t obsessed with the demands of men to use the womens’ bathroom until your Obama was, or like how you used to consider using a private email to avoid disclosure was bad until your Hillary did it.

Helio and Peter are quite aware of your pattern, fickle one. Basically put, your principles are whatever your Democrat Party tell you they should be.

As for your last remarks about my appearance, I find that incredibly entertaining, given how you previously have finger-wagged about a) attacking the appearance of others and b) claimed horror at anyone mocking a person with a medical condition.

To put it in context, when that picture was taken, I had been on dialysis for five months and was roughly four weeks away from a kidney transplant. I could have quit and gone on Social Security, but instead I chose to continue working and continue going to the gym so I could pay my bills and avoid being on welfare.

So yes, I don’t look my best. But that was probably a good thing, because it opened the door for you to show your true self with your comment.

And now you will blather and spin and try to apologize and all the other tricks of a manipulative abuser. But everyone here who sees this post will recognize you for what you are, CrayCray, and every time you flap your mouth again, they will know what a vile, vindictive, and hateful person you are.
