Begun, the Bathroom Wars Have

May 10, 2016 by V the K

Isn’t it interesting that the Obama Administration does absolutely nothing about ‘Sanctuary Cities’ that defy Federal Immigration laws, but they are coming down like a ton of bricks on North Carolina for requiring people to use biologically-appropriate bathrooms in state-owned buildings? (Contrary to the left’s dishonest propaganda, businesses may do as they please, under the law, which is as it should be).

Congratulations to the Obama Regime for deftly keeping the craptacular economy and word that the regime systematically lied about the Iranian Nuclear deal out of the news cycle for another day.

By the way, Target’s proud support of bathroom misappropriation isn’t working out too well for them; their stock is down and their public image has been damaged. They’re now reportedly going to meet with the American Family Association to discuss their concerns. (I bet it kills them to have to meet with “bigots.”) The AFA has offered the perfectly (to mentally well-adjusted normal people) reasonable suggestion that the stores simply add a unisex bathroom for people with vaginas who insist that they are men, and people with penises who insist that they are women. Perhaps they can add a litter box for people who think they are kitty cats, a fire hydrant for people who think they are dogs,  and a sturdy tree branch over a freshly-washed car for people who think they are birdies.

And for those who claim that those who boycott Target must also boycott Disney, sorry, Disney has not made all of their multi-user bathrooms unisex. Starbucks? Yeah, right, when was the last time you went into a Starbucks multi-user bathroom?

What sets Target apart is they have not only shown support for transsexuals, they have made their multi-user bathrooms unisex. That sets them apart.

Every Target I have been in already has a unisex bathroom – it would be an easy change to emphasize them more and encourage their use – it is a win/win position instead of the win/lose position they have taken before.

I recall unions putting pressure on Wal-Mart to give huge raises to their meat cutters/butchers, so Wal-Mart responded by….having the meat cut off-site and shipped in, essentially abolishing the position of butcher in order to give a great big F-U to the unions. You don’t need to give raises to people who don’t have a job, after all.

Is there any law that says a business has to furnish a public restroom at all? Can you imagine how ordinary people would react if these businesses suddenly decided the bathrooms were closed to everybody and they’ll just have to hold it until they get home?

Are there really folks here who want MORE GOVERNMENT in the form of bathroom laws? I laugh and shake my head.

Every Target I have been in already has a unisex bathroom […]

This must be a regional thing. My local Targét (whom my cousin’s kids inform me is the smallest Target on the planet) has only single-gender bathrooms [one M, one F]. Likewise, all the other Target stores I’ve been in, both in neighboring states and traveling, have all been the same, including the newer humongous SuperTargets. This is why it has upset so many people, since there isn’t an alternative option. (Though since my local Target is an anchor store for the mall, one can avoid the Target restrooms altogether if desired—at least during mall hours.)

Is there any law that says a business has to furnish a public restroom at all?

Yes, in many cases there are. Traditionally, it has been under health codes for businesses which serve food items to the general public. But even without specific ordinances, I’m sure that any new business which opened wouldn’t be able to get an occupancy permit in most locales if there wasn’t a restroom open to the public [‘public’ defined in this case as customers of the business].

Further, I’m guessing that a new business of a certain size wouldn’t escape the purview of the ADA without a restroom, as that would be possibly discriminating against someone with, for example, Crohn’s disease or a similar disorder.

Well, it would me, if I had to meet with any of the Wildmon clan. Whatever one’s feelings are about Target’s (rather impulsive) recent action, the AFA is definitely exercising their traditional role of fundraising off of teh gheys and attempting to keep themselves relevant (and fiscally solvent).

Does this really mean that any Target customer can go in either bathroom, or is there some kind of transsexual card you need to show? Why don’t all men just start going int the women’s bathroom, it seems like the resulting outcry would embarrass the hell out of Target. PS if I self-identify as a women’s room sink-pisser, can I do that?

Loretta Lynch, in her statement to the msm said ” transgender people need a safe place to take care of their most intimate needs “. Does the North Carolina law require transgender people to poop on the interstate?
