Republicans Plan Gay Bash at Convention

July 13, 2016 by V the K

(HT: Peter H) Milo and Pam Gellar are throwing a bash to welcome gheys to the RNC convention at the Mistake by the Lake.

We invite you to join us at WAKE UP, a party Tuesday night at the GOP convention. Come join us for music, drinks, and fun!

If you’re like us, the massacre in Orlando last month was a giant wake-up call. As gay Americans, we could no longer stay silent about a barbaric ideology that wants us dead and that actively threatens the freedoms of all Americans.
Organizing WAKE UP is our small way of fighting back — by raising awareness, speaking out, and having a fabulous time in the process.

By joining us at WAKE UP, you can help this effort and have an amazing time over music, drinks, and fun. Oh, and check out our incredible speakers and VIP guests!

WAKE UP is open to the entire GOP community, not just the gays and the Ls and the Ts. Come join us and help us wake up America! Click the register button above to RSVP.

If gay conservatives are right, this will be a very fun inclusive party.

If the gay left is right, this is a trap and mobs of deranged Christian conservatives will be waiting to stone them to death.

We shall see.

I’d rather attend the CAIR/GLAAD mixer the the DNC is sure to throw.

Probably somewhere in the middle, probably. Lots of young man-loving Republican men and woman-loving Republican women meeting and doing what young people have been doing since the down of the species.

The unspoken reality amongst the GOP in the floor seats is LOTS of them have a Milo and/or a Pam in the family, they typically just don’t mention it outside the family. The variety is level of acceptance or rejection, but they are there none-the-less. That uncle who ‘travels a lot’, the aunt who never married. The son and his BF who live in Tucson, the daughter and her wife who live across town.

Interesting that it wasn’t written as, “not just the Gs, Ls, Bs, and Ts.” (as it was commonly known for decades until the recent inclusion of extra letters)

I wonder how the Ts will feel about Milo’s comments like …

Transgenderism is a psychiatric disorder. They need therapy, not surgery

Because they refuse to engage in identity politics! They judge a person by their character only, not their sexual orientation (if it’s a GOP person who believes they were “born that way”) or, er, well, sexual preference (choice! Another unspoken belief–though diminishing–amongst the GOP).

But, one person’s calling out those who remain silent on the matter as “identity politics” is another person’s emphasis on denial of acknowledgment (i.e. engagement in … shame). A major point of disagreement here at GP.

Words carry weight and influence consciously and subconsciously. Those with the louder microphones have more influence. Saying …

Transgenderism is a psychiatric disorder. They need therapy, not surgery

    … is irresponsible and dangerous.

The responsible thing to do (which commands respect and attention) is to take responsibility for those inflammatory words (which I imagine Milo regrets, as that quotation has been partially scrubbed from the internet).

Not to acquiesce the ENTIRE “T” population, mind you. But, hey, it’s all all or nothing with you, isn’t it?

I think the Orlando Massacre may well prove to be a watershed moment in the gay community the same way Stonewall was, possibly even more so. It was the moment in history when the Left openly threw their long standing gay-lesbian supporters under the bus in favor of homicidal Islamic homophobes. As a conservative hetero, I can say in all honesty that not one person in my conservative social circles praised the killer or called for preventing the gay-lesbian community from arming, protecting and defending themselves. Fact is, there simply aren’t enough metal detectors, cops, marshals to keep everyone safe. I doubt the Orlando Killer would have gone anywhere near that nightclub had he suspected someone there was armed.

At this point in time, conservatives have a real opportunity to garner legitimate support from the gay community like never before. The Left’s response to the massacre frightened many in the gay community and many are wondering if the Left could be truly depended on. I may be wrong, but I sense a potential paradigm shift in the LGBT, possibly even a split.

AlCrayDa: there’s nothing either irresponsible nor dangerous about Milo’s statement. It’s factually accurate. There’s no such thing as “transgender.” Facts are stubborn things, no?

  11. Ted B. (Charging Rhino) says

    July 13, 2016 at 3:54 pm - July 13, 2016

I still don’t understand the rationale of why transgender and intersex issues are conflated with gay-lesbian-bisexual issues, they are very separate classes of issues. Claiming they all involved genitalia is crude and incomplete — and it’s NOT “just about sex”. And the rationale that both groups should align because they are both ‘political minorities’ is specious.

  12. Craig Smith says

    July 13, 2016 at 4:23 pm - July 13, 2016

There’s no such thing as “transgender.”

    How would you know?

When those who claim to be transsexual can’t point to a single physical attribute that makes them so, unlike those with XXY syndrome, who can, then the idea is entirely in their head. Yet you don’t ask them ‘How would you know’?

But when someone questions it, you do. Why is that, Cray?

  13. CrayCrayPatriot says

    July 13, 2016 at 4:41 pm - July 13, 2016

Yeah, out of all those who claim to be trans, not one single one of them were born in the wrong body, especially all of those who up until the recent mainstream exposure of trans came out as trans when decades ago it would result ostracisation from family/friends, in getting the sh!t beat out of you and/or killed. Yeah, sure, you’re right. They’re all mentally ill and attention-starved. You nailed it.

And kindly provide links, CrayCray.

Please provide evidence that there is any indisputable proof without alternative interpretation that being “born into the wrong body” has a concrete biological reality, and is not merely a false belief produced by a mental disease.

So “trans activism” was intended in the first part.

In that sentence, I was a bit thrown by activism in the context of trans or gay being blanketly considered as a mental disorder. Some degree of activism has normalised gay and trans people over the decades, and paved the way to striking down discriminatory laws. It didn’t just happen naturally and over night.

  29. Craig Smith says

    July 14, 2016 at 11:08 am - July 14, 2016

Okay, Cray, how about this argument:

Except for Gay Activists who want to parade their sexuality down Main Street then scream at everyone to keep their nose out of their bedroom, gays don’t make a big show of their sexuality and would rather just go about their lives. For the most part, you can’t tell if the guy standing next to you in a restroom is gay or straight.

Transsexuals, on the other hand, expect you to: 1) Use their preferred name and pronoun even if you have been calling them something different for decades and get offended if you don’t. 2) Expect women to not react when they see a bearded, deep-voiced “woman” enter their restroom. 3) Get offended when guys won’t date them.

That’s a really big difference, right there.

But, hey, there are always science, which evolves itself, as we learn more about the human brain:

    https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2015/02/150213112317.htm

Medical care of transgender patients, including surgical and hormonal treatment, has largely been met with resistance by physicians in favor of psychiatric treatment, owing to misconceptions that gender identity can be changed. According to a review article in Endocrine Practice, there is increasing evidence of a biological basis for gender identity that may change physicians’ perspective on transgender medicine and improve health care for these patients.

The article was led by researchers at Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM).

Disorders of gender identity affect as many as 1 in 100 people. Transgender individuals are those who identify with a gender that differs from their natal sex. Different etiologies have been suggested as the cause of transgender identify however none have been proven definitively.

The researchers conducted a literature search and reviewed articles that showed positive biologic bases for gender identity. These included disorders of sexual development, such as penile agenesis, neuroanatomical differences, such as grey and white matter studies, and steroid hormone genetics, such as genes associated with sex hormone receptors. They conclude that current data suggests a biological etiology for transgender identity.

“This paper represents the first comprehensive review of the scientific evidence that gender identity is a biological phenomenon,” explains corresponding author Joshua D. Safer, MD, FACP. “As such it provides one of the most convincing arguments to date for all medical providers to gain the transgender medicine skills necessary to provide good care for these individuals,” he added.

But, hey, you’re the expert, right?

Use someone’s preferred name and correct pronoun? And just because someone is offended and/or complains doesn’t entitle them to anything. Your poor feelings are hurt because someone is complaining? What are you afraid of? Obama’s America is going to mandate that hot straight men are going to be required to have sex with all trans women? Women are going to not be allowed to react when they see Conchita Wurst about to walk into one of the stalls to drop a deuce? Lawd hammercy. #FirstWorldProblems

    American College of Peniatricians:

a group “with Judeo-Christian, traditional values that is open to pediatric medical professionals of all religions” provided that they “hold true to the group’s core beliefs: that life begins at conception; and that the traditional family unit, headed by an opposite-sex couple, poses far fewer risk factors in the adoption and raising of children.”

The organization’s view on parenting is at odds with the position of the American Academy of Pediatrics, which holds that sexual orientation has no correlation with the ability to be a good parent and to raise healthy and well-adjusted children.

So, the group believes that V the K couldn’t have ever been a good parental figure even though he has raised healthy sons. So … they’re misinformed a**holes. Good to know.

  43. North Dallas Thirty says

    July 15, 2016 at 8:18 pm - July 15, 2016

    Exactly, V the K.

And that is because you are well-adjusted and have self-esteem. You know that because you are not the best at something or the most ideal does not make you a bad person.

CrayCray doesn’t know that. The thought that there is someone else out there that doesn’t prefer homosexuality drives him insane — mainly because his self-esteem is based solely on whether or not other people like him.

This is why gay leftists have to force compliance. They literally have a behavioral disorder that leaves them unable to function without complete and total acquiescence. They are what will happen when the current generation of college snowflakes that can’t survive a single bad thought in the room are finally unleashed on the world.

And there we see the disorder I spoke of above.

In CrayCray’s disordered mind, acknowledging that a situation would be better than yours is saying that you are bad.

Normal intelligent people know that this is NOT the case; it is possible to say that another situation would be better, but that does not automatically make your situation bad. As V the K points out, that is being secure in who and what you are.

Meanwhile, since CrayCray is whining and crying about attacking peoples’ families, he should remember who tried to exploit other peoples’ families for attacks first.

Again, this is where leftists demonstrate what indecent and unprincipled people they are — and how punching back as Peter did using exactly the same tactics exposes them as whiny brats and hypocrites who expect others to follow “rules” they won’t.

What does exist is ACPeds: an organisation that deems him an unfit parent.
