Massachusetts AG Enacts Unilateral Gun Control by Decree

Here is what happened. Massachusetts passed a law that made it illegal to sell guns with certain features. Manufacturers complied with the law by making guns without those features. The Massachusetts AG calls that “exploiting a loophole” and issued a decree that says the state can outlaw any type of gun that has any common feature with any gun on the ban list.  Her decree is so broad, it acts as an effective gun ban, and leftists are cheering about it.

When a leftist says, “We respect the Second Amendment; we’re not going to outlaw your guns,” she’s lying.  The ultimate goal has always been to outlaw the private ownership of firearms. Massachusetts and California are just leading the curve.

Update: Since Germany won this week’s Terror Attack Lottery, I thought it might be worth noting that all of the “Common Sense Gun Laws” Democrats favor are already on the books and rigorously enforced in Deutschland.

“The German system of gun control is among the most stringent in Europe. It restricts the acquisition, possession, and carrying of firearms to those with a creditable need for a weapon.
It bans fully automatic weapons and severely restricts the acquisition of other types of weapons. COMPULSORY LIABILITY INSURANCE is REQUIRED for anyone who is licensed to carry firearms”

  1. I’m all for states’ rights but the Constitution is what binds us all together. These continued attacks on all or portions of the Constitution by those with agendas to eliminate parts so instability can collapse the whole, have got to stop. Unfortunately, they won’t cease until the Democrats’ power is eliminated once & for all. The power of our government is based on the Constitution, otherwise there is no pragmatic basis for government & authority. Continue to attack the foundation of the country & authority will collapse. I don’t know why this simple concept is so difficult for Leftists to understand. They, being so enamored with overwhelming government & entitlement should be preserving their precious authority; one would think.

A GOP based government will have to take this AG out. Fortunately, it will be easier to do now that the Left has overreached time & time again, in their attacks on their enemies. Normal conventions just don’t apply anymore.

  2. I think these anti-gun liberals have no idea of the number of gun owners there really are in the US. Hopefully, this type of action will bring more pro-gun people to the polls in November. These pro-gun voters will know of Clinton’s plan to try to get around the 2nd Amendment by regulation and by the SCOTUS.

  3. No one is trying to take away your guns, they just want common sense, reasonable regulation, blah blah blah. They only want to ban certain “assault weapons” that are not suitable for sporting purposes anyway. (As if the 2A were about duck hunting.) Then they make the definition of “assault weapon” so broad and vague that it can be interpreted however they want.

So, in Massachusetts, if you drive 45 MPH in a 35 zone, you probably get a speeding ticket. And if you drive 34 MPH in a 35 zone, you probably get ticketed for driving too slow. And if you drive 35 in a 35 zone, you still get ticketed, for “exploiting a loophole.”

  4. ^ That’s a good analogy, Tom.

  5. All the more reason to get your firearm’s permit, a CCW permit if you can, and be sure to have a good CCW firearm you feel comfortable BEFORE Hillary and the Fauxcahontas are sworn-in. Don’t forget about the ammo either. . . . And your State’s paperwork can take months to approve; so don’t wait for Trump to be elected or defeated, do it now to avoid the rush.

Personally, I prefer 2-barreled coach guns and lever-action conboy rifles over semi’s for home-defense and hunting anyway.

  6. Another odd part:

There are plenty of Americans who, while they never grew up in a household with guns, and never owned a gun, can clearly see the benefit of the Second Amendment, just as those who were never vaccinated as a child could see the value of vaccination.

And just as an adult who never got the small pox vaccination ever may decide to go get it when there is an outbreak of small pox, many of these adults who never have owned a gun are buying one now.

I am one such. It’s no AR-15. It’s a simple semi-automatic hand gun, but I am learning how to use it properly and safely.

And this is why if push comes to shove (which I hope to God it does not) the conservatives will win a civil war. Because only conservatives are willing to fight for their cause. Liberals want someone ELSE to fight for their cause.

  7. so broad and vague that it can be interpreted however they want.

Vague laws only apply selectively to the little people. Like the 4 star general who got canned for less than HilLIARy did with email.
