The Liberal Governing Class as Wise Despot

September 4, 2016 by V the K

“If you think of yourselves as helpless and ineffectual, it is certain that you will create a despotic government to be your master. The wise despot, therefore, maintains among his subjects a popular sense that they are helpless and ineffectual.” – Frank Herbert, The Dosadi Experiment

“Liberalism believes people as a group need to take care of each other, because individuals are selfish, greedy and hateful. The arbiter of the collective is none other than government, who “equalizes” everything with wealth redistribution to people who couldn’t (or wouldn’t) fend for themselves.” – Courtney Kirchoff.

“Liberalism depends on a huge number of Americans being losers who can’t support themselves. The party’s very existence depends on there being a pool of serfs desperate for handouts distributed by Democrat overlords. If 90% of Americans were self-sufficient and refused to trade their dignity for a few scraps in the form of various welfare payouts, there would be no modern Democrat Party.” – Kurt Schlichter

The Gay Left’s newest rationalization of the Clinton Foundation’s corruption is that we can’t do anything about it because it gives money to HIV treatment and research, and wanting to shut down the Clinton Foundation is, of course, homophobia, because giving money to HIV treatment and research trumps any crime they have committed. And that somehow shutting it down would end HIV research forever.

The first quote raises some interesting implications about the self-esteem (or lack thereof) and self-perception of the larger African-American community.

It’s disappointing that the “low-information voter” exists regardless of party affiliation, race, economic-status…and most sadly education-level.

Over the course of the year I visit a number of clients’ homes for remodeling projects and renovations. It’s shocking in how-many I don’t see any books, daily newspapers or current magazines. The average person just isn’t curious about the World they live in. …And it’s been that way since long before the Internet.

After WW1, there was a movement encouraging Architects and Builders to include bookshelves and built-in bookcases in new homes by the major publishers and magazines in the belief that the upwardly-mobile middle-class of the 1920s would buy books to fill those bookshelves.

“…than government, who equalizes everything with wealth redistribution…’ the myth of socialism. socialism concentrates ALL wealth in the hands of the ruling class who then use it to keep themselves the ruling class. this is what they tell us is social justice. there is nothing just about taking money from people that work to give it to people that don’t work to keep yourself permanently in power. it is not justice, it is tyranny and oppression.

I came across this quote by Aristotle that just hit me like a ton of bricks yesterday: “The worst form of inequality is to try to make unequal things equal.” Yup!

If we’re recounting ancient Greeks, I’ll nominate Aesop for The Frog and the Scorpion; the liberal bourgeoisie are the frogs, and the liberal elites are the scorpions!
