The Democrat-Media Complex is a real thing. Wikileaks has exposed that when the Hillary Campaign wants to put a narrative out that favors their candidate, they have a reliable network of Democrat Operatives posing as journalists and reporters to push their propaganda for them.
[D]ocuments listed those whom the campaign regarded as their most reliable “surrogates” — such as CNN’s Hilary Rosen and Donna Brazile, as well as Center for American Progress President Neera Tanden — but then also listed operatives whom they believed were either good “progressive helpers” or more potentially friendly media figures who might be worth targeting with messaging.
The names of those whom the Hillary campaign listed as reliable operatives won’t contain any surprises. Among them are Rachel Maddow, Andrea Mitchell, Chris Hayes, and Mike Brezinski (all of NBC News); George Stephanopoulus (ABC News); David Brooks (the alleged Republican at the New York Times); Eugene Robinson, Dana Milbank, and EJ Dionne at the Washington Post; Mara Liasson (NPR) … it’s a pretty long list at the link.
This same sh-t happened back in 2008, too, for Obama. Remember “Journolist?” And that media operation was also exposed by a leak; not by “reporters” honestly admitting “Hey, before you read this story, you should know I coordinated with other reporters to make sure it advanced the Obama/Democrat narrative.”
In 2016 — rather than talking about the five wars we’re in and how badly we’re faring in all of them, or the 1% “growth” economy (where 2.5-3% is needed just to keep pace with population expansion),and the rigging of the FBI itself, and Obamacare blowing up like a Samsung battery made entirely of Space-Age Kerosene, and the murderers’ row at the VA, and the graft and corruption, and on and on and on — Hillary has decided that the only issue in this campaign is Trump’s Moral Failings, and wouldn’t you know it, the media has agreed.
Isn’t it funny that every campaign is fought on the precise battlefield the Democrats have adjudged to be most advantageous for them, and every campaign cycle, the media conducts an encircling action around the Republican to guarantee he can only fight on that unfavorable field.
“Among them are Rachel Maddow … Chris Hayes”
I always get those two mixed up, so I guess it’s good to know that they really are interchangable.
Ah, the In-Crowd: those who bask in the reflected glory of the hateful, the bullies, the snide, the creeps and the criminals. In other words, those too weak to think or act for themselves, the guilty henchpersons.
Im confused by your outrage here. This kind of stuff has been happening since the birth of our country. A recent example is the New York Times coverage during the run up to the Iraq war. The NYT was considered friendly to the Bush Admin and so certian reporters were fed stories by repubs. This kind of stuff sucks but to label this as an activity done by dems only is disingenuous at best.
I respect the work of Bret Baier and I understand that he does not call the shots, but it pains me to see him side by side with Megyn Kelly as if they are some sort of co-equals rather than being posed as Barbie and Ken bookend props. I don’t fault Baier for being preppy handsome, but I am sick and tired of Kelly’s continuous transformation evolvement from parvenue to supposedly shrewd slut. The plethora of Fox News women who show their feminine “charms” do so because it pays to play the role. Who dresses this Barbie? I would love to see her suite at Fox. I can only imagine the accoutrements.
All of this is to say that Fox News is rapidly becoming Flop News and will soon enough be dribbling and sputtering along with MSNBC and CNN. Meanwhile, over at Fox Business you can find honest conservative give and take. Let Kimberly Guilfoyle, Harris Faulkner, Laura Ingraham, Greg Gutfeld and a couple of others go over to Fox Business and join Neil Cavuto, Lou Dobbs, Kennedy, Bartiromo, Gasparino, Dagen McDowell and the rest of that phenomenal team.
All of this is to say that FoxNews is rushing to tabloid, scripted “journalism” and only a very few players are allowed to buck the trend. Therefore, FoxNews in morphing into the MSM and soon enough it will be not much different from any of the others.
Add Chuck Todd of “Meet The Press” to the list of Partisan and Paid-For.
His wife is a Democratic Party operative and did several Millions of Dollars in direct political work for the Bernie Sanders campaign…and contributed to his campaign.
Did he disclose this? No.
Rules are for the little people…
the purpose of the media in a communist country is to always support the political agenda. the democrat-party-media complex serves the same purpose in the united states as tass did in communist Russia.
@3 it is not the outrage here that has you confused.
And the #SadRepublicans are all too eager to help keep the focus on Trump’s moral failings. One person’s “sticking by my morals” is another person’s “collaboration.”
I’m at least glad it is out in the open now, and people have proof of the collusion. We suspected it for years, and each year it became more obvious, especially when they all seemed to use the EXACT same word to describe something. Remember Chaney and “gravitas”, which was an attempt to make W look like a lightweight?
And as evidence to back up what I say, suddenly, all the media outlets are talking about a narrowing path for Trump.
Whether that is true or not (actually, evidence is showing the opposite) the fact that they all use the same phrase is very suspicious.
Scott Adams says that, as of tonight, Trump wins. The caveat is that “if nothing changes”, which, with this election cycle, is unlikely. The question becomes “Who does it change for?”
When asked whether the average voter will be swayed by the FBI continuing investigation, he claims that in the public’s eye, it’s all conflated between the FBI investigation, Wikileaks, and Project Veritas. It continues to make the Corrupt Granny look shady, or in the Republican candidate’s parlance, “crooked”.
I’ve been using the phrase “Democrat-Media Complex” for well over a year now. Glad it’s catching on.
