I Will Help Them Pack

November 8, 2016 by V the K

I am willing to help in any way to encourage this movement.

Louis J. Marinelli, a Californian political activist and leader of the California independence movement, is using the European developments to drive a harder push to have California split from the United States.

His dream of seeing a free, independent California Republic was buoyed by Thursday’s shock result of the United Kingdom leaving the European Union—known as Brexit. Marinelli, president of the “Yes California” movement, was inspired by the Brexit vote, as “Leave” supporters in England and Wales overwhelmed “Remain” backers in Scotland and Northern Ireland—prompting discussions of whether Scotland will hold another referendum to leave the U.K behind and retain EU membership.

Yes, by all means, Venezuela-on-the-Pacific should be encouraged to leave and take its Chavismo politics with it.

The northern counties will likely split from this and, with several counties from Oregon, form a new state called Jefferson. Those counties are sick to death of their lives being controlled by people who never set a foot outside of the city.

Just be sure when they leave they take their share of the National Debt with them.

Meanwhile we welcome our old friends in Jefferson back to the Rule of Law.

By all means leave. I will get the state I used to love back and won’t care if it’s called Jefferson or Caloregon.

California”s arrogance comes from its ridiculous tech bubble. When that thing pops it will be spectacular. SO you go girl… don’t come crying back to the USA when a bunch of broke geeks are fighting the existing hobos for scraps.

And I say this as a native Californian. This is not the state I grew up in.

I’m not sure the Calexit supporters are too attached to reality – for example, in another article I read on it they claim that they are tired of supporting the rest of the country: they need to check their numbers!

Ah – dreams of Ecotopia. California has really had a huge crop of nuts, and surely not not the dream land to move to.

Yes take 1/3 of all US welfare recipients with you. North CA has wanted to break away for decades.

The same for those “celebrities” loudly-proclaiming they’d emigrate to Canada should Trump win. The Line forms to the Left…

does the rest of the country get a vote?

The only vote that matters comes from the US Congress. These dummies who think they can simply secede and take their marbles (real or imagined) with them aren’t up to speed with what it takes to actually leave the union. (That also applies to those in Texas who can think they can also unilaterally go it alone.) So let those that wish to leave draw up a proposal and send it to DC for consideration.
