Gay Republican: “Trump’s SecEd Had My Back.”

December 3, 2016 by V the K

Contrary to the propaganda of the Gay Democrat Left, the incoming Trump administration is turning out to be pretty gay-friendly.

Greg McNeilly, political advisor to Betsy DeVos and a prominent gay Republican, spoke Friday of the incoming education secretary saying she stood up for him at a time when his sexual orientation wasn’t widely known.

“When we have those positive affirming experiences it emboldens us,” he said. “Betsy did that for me at that time.”

If I hadda guess, I’d wager the gay-affirming tendencies of the Trump administration will be far more upsetting to the Gay Left than to the Religious Right.

We are seeing the breakdown of the leftist narrative – and it is a wonder thing. This will do much to end the control of the left over the minds of gay people.

I’m so sick of gay Americans, or black Americans, or Hispanic Americans, or fill in the blank Americans. At the end of everything is American. I’m registered as blank, I didn’t vote for a party, or to better the life some politician. I voted as an American, for all Americans, and for America.

Trump has never divided Americans into pieces like slices of pie. Black, gay, Hispanic. He sees one American people, and one country. And that’s why I voted for him.

Martels son, I hope it’s true but that hold is strong. Despite in your face the opposite. My sister got married to her same sex partner, although why she married my sister is a mystery to me, she’s a nasty vile person. Anyway, her partner, not my sister, asked me to be part of her wedding party. She said it would mean a lot to her because I love her. Made me cry.
And my sister? Gave me her son, and signed over all parental rights. I didn’t ask her to, she told me she was doing it. She said because gay people were persecuted. So she gives her son to someone that she knows isn’t a liberal?

And her and her wife? Divorced. Not surprised. I do have custody of her son and he calls her ex Aunt. She loves him and he loves her they shouldn’t be parted. My sister in the meantime can’t pay her electric bill because leather boots are more important and still bitching that republicans are persecuting her. Go figure.

In other leftist-bumpersticker news, I was informed yesterday that “Pence wants to electrocute the gay out of people like you” — by an earnest white woman who was offended by my argument, in an FB thread, that the “Children of Satan” letter sent to dozens of mosques was most likely written by a non-Muslim Persian-American who’d gotten tired of hearing “your mother is a whore and your father is a dog, you filthy kafir” before leaving Islamoland and coming to the States.

  5. Throbert McGee says

    December 3, 2016 at 1:56 pm - December 3, 2016

The “Persian” part is only an educated guess, but everything about the letter screams “someone who was personally spat upon for being an infidel in a Muslim country.”

Throbert, I admit I know zero about Pence but I’m quite sure he doesn’t want to electrocute the gay out of people. And I’m sick to death of these white women no know nothings, that btw say they’re feminists, and Arab women that bash America while saying nothing about sharia. And the rudeness of all of them. I was in a Red Robn, went to leave and every time I was blocked by a very large Arab family, woman wearing a hijab tod me to ask permission from them. No kidding. I showed her my mace and said, still want me to ask?

But this is ok with women? Well I’m a white woman, is this attack ok?

My son is a gigantic liberal despite politics never being discussed. This is a liberal.

Starting at age 17 he wanted to travel alone and backpack through various countries, not tourist sites but real people. We said ok and financed it, because we both grew up with parents that didn’t want us. We wanted to give that to our son and foolishly live through the him that he would appreciate what we didn’t have. It was a great financial hardship for us, but we thought it was important for him and our child.

We were so wrong. He met some very fascinating people that had a lot to say and praised him as an American, an ex kgb navy officer in Taiwan, a blind Iraqi restaurant owner in holland that said it was only because of America that he was alive, he was blnded by acid dripped in eyes in Iraq. An ex Iranian male transite in Belgium that said he would have been killed if not for America, everywhere he went he heard stories of how if not for America….. Then he came home.

He doesn’t talk to me anymore. Need I explain the fb attacks?

At Tully – what individuals do is always an unknown until it happens. What I do know is that the right is changing about gay people. Not all – but clear signs of the change. The left saw the gowning live and let live as a front for even further ‘revolution’. That has always been an under current among gays. Many wanted to able to live their lives, and the leftist gay wanted to over throw society. Big different.

  11. Tilly says

    December 3, 2016 at 3:56 pm - December 3, 2016

Dear Martels son, all leftists want to overthrow society. It’s the Soros way. Here’s a Pence lefty argument, not yours, a bill saying gays can’t sue based on religion.
Now if doesn’t say a restaurant can’t refuse a meal or service or a store can’t refuse to sell Clothes, it doesn’t say you can’t be gay or enjoy liberties, it says you can’t target And sue someone else’s liberties.

I’m all for equal rights for everyone, but I’m not all forr bullying and that’s what it is. I fully support not being able to sue bakers, floweriest whatever because they’re targeted. And it’s not right. They really are few, and sought out. The lgbt community says they were persecuted and it was wrong, then do,the same.

Sorry for rambling, they seek to sue, then whine that law are past that they can’t sue. It just disgusts me. They brought it on themselves.

@11: Tilly, drugs or not – you make more sense than a lot of people.

My take on wedding cake fascism is that, aside from a few narrow circumstances (e.g. trauma care), people should have the right to refuse service. Sure, people here and there will be inconvenienced or have their feelings hurt but that’s a small price to pay given the alternative: obedience at the point of a gov’t gun.

  14. Martel's son says

    December 3, 2016 at 6:09 pm - December 3, 2016

Despite what might said by leftists, oppression for a ‘right’ is a very bad means to a right. The cake fight is wrong. It claims to seek a right, but doesn’t care what rights it actually removes. Those gay persons would have shown themselves better than going down the road of oppression for this ‘right’. However, it also should be said that it is a Very poor business that refuses money. Also, a business having these beliefs ought to be honest about them. Maybe a sign? Nevertheless, the LGBT extremists were very wrong to start that battle. It make all look bad, and very next to nothing claimed. A republic works best for an educated and mature people. At times – we lack that on two sides of the same argument. But, it was some gay people that started this cake fight.

Tilly, I started to congratulate you and join you in your comment in #2, but then read your other postings. I’m sorry about your son and your sister, but I am glad that your sister’s son (now your second son, if I read right) seems to be turning out as you would like. Good luck with your recovery from surgery.

Let them sputter. Let them huff. Let them bloviate. Let them rationalize. Those with ears to listen and brains to think will recognize their stupidity and realize their words and frantic hysteria are nothing but hot air.

Geez, I’ve heard this about as long as I’ve heard the “They’re coming to put us in camps!!” garbage BS. Do the morons who repeat this tripe ever stop and ask just how this would occur? Especially since SCOTUS beat down almost all congressional attempts to do this around the turn of the century. Drama queens gonna drama, I guess.

  25. Throbert McGee says

But… but… Trump might pack SCOTUS with ultra-conservative Christian fundamentalists, and they might overturn Griswold, and based on that they might overturn Lawrence, which could put Obergefell in danger…

IT COULD ALL HAPPEN IN MY THOUGHT-EXPERIMENT!

  26. Throbert McGee says

And those are the leftists who actually trouble themselves to work out some sort of a legal cause-and-effect scenario, instead of just:

    (1) Steal gay underpants.
    (2) ? ? ?
    (3) PROFIT on scented bath soap made from gay concentration-camp victims.

  27. RSG says

    December 5, 2016 at 8:23 pm - December 5, 2016

Trump might pack SCOTUS with ultra-conservative Christian fundamentalists, and they might overturn Griswold […]

Yeah, that’s the very real concern. “Now is why we need your help to prevent this nightmare scenario from occurring. For as little as $25 $35, we can help turn back the approaching Republican assault on our very existence. The need is real, the time is now!! Don’t delay! [Because we need to shore up our year-end balance sheet.]”—from every lefty civil rights organization currently in existence.

As V the K noted on a post a couple of weeks ago, do the suckers concerned citizens ever stop to think about what the process is? Are there any current cases in the pipeline where this might be a logical outcome? Are there any laws currently being enforced or challenged where a case could arise? Or do they think it only takes three shakes of a SCOTUS Magic Judicial Robe for this to take place?

Again, there seems to be a crying need for civics and American Government education. (Remedial education for many.)
