George Takei can share a ward with Ben Ryan.
Our president must act presidential, each word measured and supported. You, sir, are a disgrace and an embarrassment. – 3:53 PM – 27 Nov 2016
With each utterance, our minority-president elect simply sickens me. – 3:47 PM – 27 Nov 2016
Trump picked Ben Carson as HUD Secretary. In related news, U.S. hospitals admitted dozens for head injuries due to extreme facepalming.- 6:51 AM – 5 Dec 2016
Trump is naming ideologues and incompetents to his inner circle. Six are hardline anti-LGBT, and his EPA pick is a climate change denier. – 10:02 AM – 8 Dec 2016
Devil horns, monster shadow, unretouched bald spot, delapidated chair, literally resting on laurels…Trump trolled by Time. – 8:02 AM – 8 Dec 2016
Elsewhere: Left-wing website BuzzFeed is outraged because ‘WestWorld’ isn’t ghey enough.
If the situation had been reversed, do you think Georgie boy would be complaining that Hillary had been elected by a minority vote? No, he would be lecturing conservatives that “that’s how the Constitution works.” Hypocrite.
Good Lord, Sulu’s mind has boldly gone where no man’s has gone before! SMH…

Takei is nutty. But, Ben Carson was a really strange choice, no? I’d be curious to hear why people think he was a strong choice.
I’m surprised the Twitchy post didn’t mention what many on Twitter have pointed out, which is that the “devil horns” over DJT isn’t the first time such a layout has been done; cover portraits have routinely been done as an overlay on the masthead. And, to take it further, Barack Obama’s last POTY cover was done in enhanced black-and-white, with dark tones. Why was that not racist because it could be said that he was being portrayed as the typical shady up-to-no-good black dude?
For the position for which he is nominated, yes. Defenders are citing his example of growing up the proverbial poor Black child in Detroit. (I’ve had ordinary jobs as a wage slave, but I don’t think that makes me qualified to be Secretary Of Labor.) So, I don’t think that we know the why behind that pick for sure, yet. It seems to be a sinecure to a supporter and former rival who was once labeled a predator by the person providing the nomination. So far, his will be the most interesting cabinet position to watch going forward.
George Takei is an interesting example of the wealthy lefty who is so well off that he has unlimited time for telling the rest of us what’s wrong with us.
Trump comes of as a loose cannon now and then but, giving it a little thought, he’s quite shrewd (I will confess that there is some *hope* in that statement – time will tell if it’s true).
For example, his phone call with the president of Taiwan. This was no diplomatic gaffe – it was a well-orchestrated move to let the Chinese know that the US will be starting to pay attention to the Far East once again. And it makes sense to signal to China that they don’t have veto power when it comes to US policy.
This article appeared at zero hedge and is cause for thought:

@1 Of course not! To the left, plurality=majority. Unless it doesn’t.
If one reads the background, this was literally months in the making. It was more choreographed than a Broadway musical. That certain elements are coming unglued about it because of its alleged rogueness shows that their grip on rational thought is loosening to the point of being completely irrational.
CCP @3, yeah. I can’t fathom that one. I would have thought Surgeon General maybe.
Ben Carson grew up in public housing. He is one of the few who escaped and didn’t doom his children to grow up there–unlike most people of color who can’t break the cycle. So for me, he is a bright example to people who live there. Being a surgeon, chief of neurosurgery and an administrator at Hopkins, he is use to not just working on a team, but being an effective and an accountable leader. I think he is a great choice–as a nurse who works in the operating room, I think he will bring a different skill set than what you normally get with the typical pencil pushing beauracrat. We’ll have to see how he does, but I honestly think he will do a good job PLUS provide inspiration for people that they don’t have to continue being dependent on the government; that if they educate themselves, work hard and apply themselves, they can escape and succeed on their own.
Miss Takei:
You were a third rate has been actor who needs to go to an insane asylum. Good riddance when you pass away.
Cray Cray:
I think Carson was an odd choice for HUD secretary. Secretary of HHS or Surgeon General would be a better fit.
Exactly why does anyone care about his utterances??
Because he’s an articulate, beautiful, witty (when he’s not having meltdowns, anyway) SJW who deserves to be listened to, particularly after what the Federal government did to his family. Any more questions?
(A former acquaintance who was a Hillary fanatic—not to mention just like her in job performance—used to rave about the one-time Mr Sulu’s Facebook postings, which, at one time at least, were nothing short of brilliant.)
“Because he’s an articulate, beautiful, witty (when he’s not having meltdowns, anyway) SJW who deserves to be listened to, particularly after what the Federal government did to his family. Any more questions?”
I have a question. When you say “what the Federal government did to his family” you *mean* what the Democratic Party did to his family, right?
Minor details, minor, I say!
(Besides it’s nothing compared to what the Orange Monster will do to his beautiful Muslim neighbors.)
Trump is naming ideologues? And Obama didn’t? Van Jones? Valerie Jarrett? That’s what presidents do, they name people with whom their own values sync. STFU.
the minority-elected president” i’m not so sure trump was minority-elected. the democrats cancelled their much desired recount because it was starting to expose their voter fraud.
