FoxNews Sued by Black Employees for Racial Discrimination

December 8, 2016 by V the K

J/K … it’s actually left-slanting fake news network CNN.

“Upon information and belief,” the suit says, “African-American employees have had to endure racial slurs and prejudicial biases from superiors such as, ‘it’s hard to manage black people’ and ‘who would be worth more: black slaves from times past or new slaves.’ ”

Earlier on CNN: “Donald Trump is a flat-out Racist.”

“Well, let me do it again, and let me do it in two languages: Es un racista. He is a flat-out racist and it’s what he’s played on for 16 months. He is a bigot. He is a racist.”

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – hypocrisy, thy name is liberalism. Period.

Liberals see racism everywhere because they assume everybody is just like them.

Thirty years Trump has been in the public eye, and nobody ever called him a racist.

    Until he ran for president.

@ Craig Smith: Heck, he was once encouraged to run for the Presidency by the most famous black woman in the world once. No, not Michelle Obama, Oprah.

My roommate tried to do a Youtube search for videos of Trump saying racist things, but there was only video where he said “I love the blacks,” and all the others were just videos of indignant liberals saying Trump was racist without providing links, or saying “the news” said he was racist.

Diamond and Silk (both black) were Trump supporters at the very beginning. I assume that THEY would know if Trump was a racist (he invited them to speak at one of his rallies, perhaps more).

He worked in NYC, where I would assume he worked with all types of people and he was never accused of being a racist or sexist.

Dims know how to do one thing to win….attack and scorch the earth. And they have been extremely successful at this because the media carries their water through thick and thin.

I used the fake headline to bait liberals on a local newspaper discussion board.. The responses were colorful.

I waited awhile, then I “corrected” it… The responses were overwhelmingly “fake news, fake news”.

I waited awhile, then I posted a link to the actual lawsuit documents. Silence.

That was a fun diversion at work.. Thank you.

Speaking of fake news per V’s own link

The person who was calling Trump a racist is a Republican. .

mikey shoots and misses… The person claiming Trump is a racist is an “employee” of the network being sued for being racist… The person political affiliation is irrelevant, just like the Democratic Party.

Are you out of the facility or have you earned internet privileges?

Has this been verified? I can’t seem to find this story on any major news service.

I am not familiar with searching court records but I could not find record of it online with the District court in Atlanta.

I did call the law office of the lawyer representing the employees and they confirmed it.

I am not familiar with searching court records but I could not find record of it online with the District court in Atlanta.

Sometimes it takes awhile before filings become available to the general public (i.e., posted on publicly-available WWW sites, etc). Attorneys who subscribe to paid information sources (Lexis-Nexis et al) usually get the information quicker, since the commercial companies proactively do docket checks.

Also, many plaintiff attorneys do a press release of impending filings before the paperwork is actually submitted. Here’s a fun test: the next time someone like Gloria Allred or her daughter [Lisa Bloom] announce a lawsuit, do a search using the information provided in their press briefing for the actual documents. I will virtually guarantee you that the filing comes hours or even days after the announcement. This is done in the interest of self-promotion and embarrassment (to the defendant) and to get the easily intimidated to sweat it out a bit and consider a settlement long before an answer is demanded by the court.

Incidentally (and apropos in the case of a media company like CNN), the most inaccurate element of TV and film portrayals of the legal process is the abundance of courtroom scenes. If you believed the fictional accounts, every filing ends in a trial. In the real world, it’s the exact opposite. The vast majority of cases are resolved before a trial ever happens (though it may be scheduled for a set date in the future). Not only that, but many settlements are written by plaintiff attorneys and simply signed by the judge in the case. I’m not saying judges are overpaid, but notice the number of state and federal judges who stay in their positions over time. The attrition rate is quite low, in most cases. Nice work if you can get it.

The day before the election, NPR’s All Things Considered had a segment on a Republican party chair in a county in Ohio who is Black and female—and a supporter of Donald Trump.

Robert Siegel, the host-interviewer, had a list of all the standard questions (“Doesn’t it bother you that he was accused of discriminating against African-American tenants in his family’s properties?”, etc). The interviewee had snappy and concise responses to all the questions, detailing how difficult it was for her to get a job in county government as recently as twenty years ago and essentially exploding the We Have Overcome Except For Those Racist Rednecks & Republicans myth. She also obliterated the inherent oh-my-gawd-how-can-you-be-Black-and-a-Republican general tone of the interview. It was great. When I find the link, I’ll post it.

Craig Smith @ 11:21, funny you mention Oprah gushing over Trump, I saw that show (back when I use to like and watch her). She also did a show with Dr. Ben Carson and was really digging him. She thought he was brilliant and amazing. (As did a lot of liberals). Funny what a difference some years and an election make….

    […] here’s a transcript of that interview.

Thanks for that, Juan! I encourage anyone who’s interested to actually listen to the audio; it gives a depth that a transcript doesn’t have and shows that she actually knows her stuff, rather than some of the enthusiastic supporters of candidates who can’t articulate their way out of a paper bag.
