Milo visits Memories Pizza to apologize on behalf of sane gay people

December 9, 2016 by V the K

The owners and patrons seem to receive him very warmly. I was told they hated gay people.

This is raw, unedited video. Skip ahead to the five minute mark when Milo and his entourage appear. (That dude who appears intermittently in the right side of the screen during the first ten minutes has real purty hair, don’t you think?) Skip ahead to 20:00 for the takeway bullet, which is basically: “Memories Pizza was a flashpoint in the Culture Wars, a place where good people got fed up with being bullied by Social Justice Wankers and said ‘Enough!’ And this is why you got Trump.”

I think Milo has a point when he asserts that the Pizza Jihad woke up a lot of people to the tyranny of the aggrieved.

I lived in California in 2008 when Prop 8 was on the ballot. There was an ad where actors playing Mormons show up and act rude to a lesbian couple – taking their rings and so on. I found it so offensive that I came within a hair of voting for Prop 8.

In a nation of 310+ million people, it is not possible that everyone can have their way all the time. Freedom of association means that, once in a while, someone’s feelings will be hurt or someone will be inconvenienced but that is a small price to pay given the alternative: armed government forcing people in the private sector to engage in activities they object to. (Obviously, there would have to be some exceptions.)

If government can force someone, on pain of fine and/or imprisonment, to make pizzas and cakes for a gay wedding, there are no limits to what government can make an individual do.

The SJW haters are OK with using force – provided they’re the ones doing the forcing. I’ve seen mention here and there of people refusing to do this or that for people associated with Trump (e.g. designers that won’t do anything for Ivanka)… I’d like to hear their justification.

My takeaway from the situation with Proposition 8 was this:

Militant gay do not want equality. The Supreme Court of California declared in their decision upholding Proposition 8 that same sex couples already had that under the law–that the only thing Proposition 8 did was reserve the name “married” for heterosexuals. If true, then why was the title “married” so important that they would throw such a hissy fit at the decision?

I concluded that what they wanted was equivalency, not equality. They wanted society to look at two “married” men and their adopted kids in exactly the same light as Ma and Pa Kettle and their kids, despite the fact that they are not the same at all.

The two kids in the same sex couple lack either a father or a mother. They would claim that one of the two takes that position, but psychological study after psychological study has shown that not to be the case.

In addition, there have also been studies which clearly show that children raised by the parents that bore them are more ready to take on the real world.

It’s also why I continue to predict that gay activists will eventually push for oversight of the adoption process to ensure that same-sex couples are given “equal” treatment when it comes to adoption. Proving that “equality” to them is far more important than the welfare of the child.

Key and Peele said it best: “Oh, I get it. I’m not persecuted, I’m just an a**hole!”

Regular people are far more willing to accept the “we’re just like you” argument when homosexuals really do act just like everybody else. I know we’re supposed to be the cultural vanguard of society or something, but there are ways to do that that don’t involve wearing your leather gear in broad daylight. Not saying you can’t own leather gear, just keep it in the bedroom like sane people. If you don’t want to be like straight people, fine, just don’t claim to be so and then act completely unlike straight people in everyday society.

    Really, Craig, really?

Might just want to check around this group of commenters because some are foster and adoptive parents.

For a long time now, the secular humanists have been on the warpath to culturally smear the notion that the traditional family (one mother, one father and their biological offspring) is the ideal. Adoption, abortion, divorce, living together, “open” marriage and all manner of exceptions to the traditional family were stigmatized and the secular humanists were on a tear.

Oftentimes cultures change because of social justice warriors. In the recent past, children were both put to work and abandoned. Then the kindness of strangers entered the scene and orphanages were established and child labor laws were enacted. Migrant pickers could no longer use their children as extra hands picking strawberries, etc.

Now gays have become adoptive parents, foster parents, and married partners.

However, what has never been settled is what constitutes the status of being “gay.” Opinions abound, but the science is not settled. So, like all mystery, eventually politics is the portal for making a decision. And political decision-making is based in power.

Gays alone don’t comprise powerful numbers, so they are at the mercy of the zeitgeist. But, they are walking on thin ice and when hissy fits break out like wedding cakes and pizza, they soon discover that the safety net of the zeitgeist is not there.

As always it turns out, too many gays are just trying to get their form of sexual gratification “equalized.” They are trying to establish what they do with in regard to their libido to be recognized as a civil right.

Milo is mocking many gays and tilting at the gay civil rights windmills and constantly succeeding in pissing off the liberal elitists. He dares to bring things to the discussion that too many simply don’t want to debate.

    Sean L, I agree w/ #6. I’d just like to broaden it a little.

“Regular people are far more willing to accept the “we’re just like you” argument when homosexuals really do act just like everybody else.”

Today in America, regular people generally accept/agree/act on the basis of “we’re just like you” when non-regular people really do act much like everybody else.

I’ve changed “homosexuals” to “non-regular” people, because I think the principle extends beyond sexual orientation.

Heliotrope- It doesn’t matter if gays don’t possess powerful numbers when the 49th most powerful person in DC is just a guy who owns a Pizza Place, who was David Brok’s ex. Especially when the president & 50 senators are on the list.

However, I do not believe that one group of people can, or should, apologize for another group.

Scott Adams has an interesting take on this; without passing judgment on the validity of the evidence (or lack thereof), he notes that it’s a good example of confirmation bias.

Haven’t checked the official White House schedule, but odds are he went for a round or two of golf somewhere (250+ since January 2009 aren’t enough). But he also didn’t want to suffer the indignity of receiving what an online commenter noted HRC would have received: a polite golf clap.

Also, PEOTUS just didn’t work the crowd, he rocked it. Look at the reception when he entered the stadium:

Marxist Vegan Restaurant Closes After Customers No Longer Willing to Wait 40 Minutes for a Sandwich

“A “Marxist” “collectivist” “worker-run” restaurant in Grand Rapids, Michigan, closed its doors this week after customers complained that they could no longer tolerate the bizarre hours, high prices and long lines.

The Garden Diner and Cafe—previously known as the Bartertown Diner—featured a vegan, vegetarian and raw food menu that had met with significant national acclaim.

But the restaurant’s business model, which did not allow for bosses or managers, promised a “living wage” to all employees and a strong union, did not allow the restaurant to make enough profit to stay in business.”
