If you have a better metaphor for the modern Democrat than a politically-appointed city attorney casually sipping from a glass of wine while a college vandalizes a business with anti-Republican graffiti, I would very much like to hear it.
Duncan Lloyd, an assistant city solicitor, was identified in surveillance footage that captured Lloyd and a second man walking along Germantown Avenue in Chestnut Hill on Nov 25. In the footage, Lloyd is seen wearing a blue blazer and holding a glass of wine, filming or taking photos, while a second man spray paints “F— Trump,” on the wall of a newly opened Fresh Market.
The Democrat mayor of Philadelphia shrugged off the incident as a “dumb mistake.” (You know, like when you write the wrong date on a check. Same thing.)
I used to think the best metaphor for liberalism was the people who wanted public funding to provide Viagra so that HIV positive people could enjoy an active sex life, but this is better.
Our jails are full of people that made “dumb mistakes”.
I’m pretty sure that some of these prisoners grew up without the advantages these characters enjoyed and the magnitude of their dumb mistake was even less than spray painting an obscenity on the side of a building.
The left is against US Ambassador to China, who has a decades long relationship. Says it all.
Kcrob. Our jails are full of people that made “dumb mistakes”. I agree, a city attorney didn’t make a “dumb mistake”. Laws for thee but not for me.
I’m sure if there were a high-level member of city government who was a political independent (assuming such an animal exists in The City Of Brotherly Love) who wrote “Hillary Is A Cµnt” on the side of a prominent building, the response would be exactly the same.
This story bothers me for two reasons. First and foremost, nothing is mentioned about him being forced (or even asked) to work with the police to identify and arrest the man doing the spray-painting (in other words, snitch). One would think an officer of the court would be expected to help bring a criminal to justice when they obviously know the person and witnessed the crime. Obviously that whole “honor among thieves” thing extends even further than we thought.
Second, I work for that company whose store got vandalized. It took over four, long years to convince the locals in that neighborhood to allow us to build that store, more time than I’ve ever seen them focus on opening a new location. Those two dumb-asses should be sent a bill for the (professional) clean-up of the façade, at the very least.
Shouldn’t his local bar be scheduling an interview with him?
The Philadelphia Bar? …Surely you jest. Unless they want to give him an award at their annual “holiday” dinner.
Not only did he get to keep his job as an attorney for the city, he wasn’t even charged. All he has to do is 40 hours of community service. Absolutely disgusting. Had he been a Republican lawyer who worked for the City of Bro Love and spray painted “F Obama”, what would the consequences have been?! There are 2 Americas, and different laws for the liberal one…
Having lived and worked in Philly, I doubt there’s any danger that any Republican lawyers works for the City of Brotherly Love. The Democratic City Machine is so firmly entrenched at all levels after 65-years that the City Charter guarantees several Council [pity] seats to the GOP strictly strictly as a courtesy-only.
“Forget it, Jake; it’s Chinatown”, I mean, Philadelphia.
I know of it only as an occasional visitor and via reputation, and that certainly would be my (non-professional) evaluation.
It was a facetious question as the only time I’ve seen a bar association do anything to an attorney is when they disbarred Nifong. Can still dream though.
