Along with the 10 terrorists Obama is releasing from Guantanamo Bay this week, Obama is also commuting the sentence of the Transexual Traitor Chelsea Manning.
As many people have observed: Leaks that hurt US national security are meh at worse, but leaks that hurt Democratic political ambitions? Unforgivable.
Yeah, that. But also this is a huge middle finger to the military (and every soldier who served honorably), and a big wet sloppy pajama-hug to the radical LGBT left. So, for Obama, a two-fer.
The Democrat-Media Complex will be giving Manning interviews, followed by the inevitable book deal and perhaps a tenure-track position teaching “Gender Issues in National Security” at a university.
And these aren’t the last. What’s over-under on Cop-Killer Mumia Abu Jamal getting a commutation?
Update to the Update: A “guy from Obama’s neighborhood” could not be happier about the release of his fellow domestic terrorists.
Manning is a sad case… obviously a troubled person. But s/he should have thought about the consequences before leaking megabytes of classified info.
I have mixed feelings about the commutation but there are several people in Leavenworth far more deserving.

For that reason, I agree with VtK: this isn’t about compassion for Manning; it’s another FU to the soldiers he keeps in harms’s way and the “normals”.
Indeed. Obama is a product of his Unitarian upbringing with all its modern political elite silly. Naturally – Manning must be ‘saved’ as ‘she’ is so brave – despite that his actions resulted in deaths. It’s the trans-sexual thing that is important in the work of overturning any sense of meaning from nature.
Don’t know that Manning will be able to get a job as a college professor, if it requires a professional license – – a Dishonorable Discharge from the Armed Forces usually prevents such jobs.
Obama can’t leave soon enough. This FU is stomach churning. Wonder what Mad Dog is thinking.
Well, what else do you expect from a pathologically narcissistic House Black Marxist with daddy issues (*) and raised by white commies openly hating America in the 60s, and then not-so-inconspicuously infestating the mainstream left in offices and the media (Dems, Progressives, Socialists, et al) since the 80s?
(*) or more likely so… mother-related, but that’s just imo.
Say it with me “Bradley Manning, traitor, soon to be missing.”
Now pardon Edward Snowden.
@7
Amen.
I guess this means the Clinton-Abedin ‘carte blanche’ pardons are just awaiting the West Wing printers to warm up. Barry will slip it into Hillary’s coat-pocket when they ‘faire la bise’ on the Podium Friday morning. **kiss, kiss**
Does this mean we no longer have to pay for their transition surgery?
I think Manning’s release is a big screw you to everyone who handles classified einformation–and especially the military who are most at risk from the leak of that information. And releasing the Puerto Rican terrorist is a big “for you, Bill Ayers and those who hate the United States”.
@Cyril. Manning leaks made Bush look bad. Snowden leaks make Obama look bad. Snowden won’t get ANY special consideration from BO.
@Niall:
I know, and that’s exactly why I appreciated your witty sarcasm.
Bingo. Never embarrass a narcissist!
According to White House correspondent Kevin Corke on FNC’s Special Report last night, it has already happened, but I can’t believe it occurred that quickly (IIRC, approval was only given last spring). Until I see further proof, I will continue to refer to him as “Bradwina”.
Manning, like Snowden, is a hero. Sad to see that posters here disagree. Disappointing. We need people to release more information on the illegal activities of our government.
Unfortunately, Dale, Manning’s leaks put some Afghanistan citizens lives at immediate risk of death.
