Overall, the blueprint being used by Trump’s team would reduce federal spending by $10.5 trillion over 10 years.
At the Department of Justice, the blueprint calls for eliminating the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services, Violence Against Women Grants and the Legal Services Corporation and for reducing funding for its Civil Rights and its Environment and Natural Resources divisions.
At the Department of Energy, it would roll back funding for nuclear physics and advanced scientific computing research to 2008 levels, eliminate the Office of Electricity, eliminate the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy and scrap the Office of Fossil Energy, which focuses on technologies to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
Under the State Department’s jurisdiction, funding for the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, the Paris Climate Change Agreement and the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change are candidates for elimination.
The Corporation for Public Broadcasting would be privatized, while the National Endowment for the Arts and National Endowment for the Humanities would be eliminated entirely.
I’m gonna see a doctor if my response to this article lasts more than four hours.
Let me guess: Julian Assange wrote this for April 1, then leaked it?
Now just wait for the left’s hysterical outrage at this plan of inhumane Holocaust on Federal pen pushers.
“lol” 😀
Hahha. if my response lasts more than 4 hours, I’m going to read it again tomorrow!
Get ready for a steady stream of media coverage about how Trump’s cuts are causing a disaster.
When an unarmed woman gets raped in a designated gun-free zone, PCNN and MSDNC will blame it on cuts in the “Duh, Rape Bad, Consent Good” sensitivity classes (that the sociopathic rapist never attended anyway). When a thug attacks a cop, and the cop shoots him in self-defense, the MSM will distort the facts and make it appear that an unarmed child was shot by a trigger-happy, racist cop. Then they will cite cuts in DOJ Civil Rights Enforcement, and they will complain about a lack of federal oversight for local police. (Under Obama, it was getting to the point where a meter maid could not write a parking ticket without asking for DOJ approval first.)
And cuts in public broadcasting and endowments for the arts? Democrats will blubber about taking Barney and Sesame Street away from little kids. Never mind that those shows are popular enough to support themselves commercially.
Wow! I’d be pretty happy if only 25% of those cuts came true.
I can already hear the Never Trumpets shouting, “He’ll never do it!”
Fucking Sezame St? All that is PC programming for little kids and can only imagine how bad it is now on HBO.
Well, it’s a start…
Hope and Change…
I have often wondered how much of British Television is supported almost entirely from payments from PBS and affiliated stations.
