A New Era Begins

January 20, 2017 by V the K

On Inauguration Day, my feelings are a mixture of relief that Obama will gone by lunch time (off on another luxurious, taxpayer-funded vacation), and a desperate sort of hope that Trump and Pence don’t screw up this chance.

A friend shared this…

“Trump is not going to put you all in camps and install a Nazi state. He can’t, because George W. Bush already put you all in camps and installed a Nazi state. Oh, wait, he never got to do it, because we were already all dead in the nuclear war our cowboy president, Ronald Reagan, started by talking tough to the Russians. “

Also, I saw this picture on Twitter last night. What I know about fashion you could fit on a Post-It note with enough room left over to copy the Declaration of Independence. Seriously, if you look in my closet, it’s flannel shirts and hockey jerseys as far as the eye can see. But, gotta say, Ivanka Trump looks stunning. It will be nice to have some grace and elegance in the White House again.

Why does looking at this picture make me crave Arizona Green Tea?

Also, in a change from eight years ago, the new First Lady will not be wearing sofa upholstery to the inauguration.

Perhaps she can also depoliticize the “position”. First Ladies (or Gentleman, if the right candidate comes along) aren’t supposed to be deciding health plans or school lunches.

If it were not for the blessing of eventually meeting my wife, with nowadays’ female SJWs and other ugly feminists around, or a more-manly-than-I-am first lady of the likes of Moochelle O …

… chances are I’d have turned gay.

Good tastes on that one, DJT — all I can say without risking more trouble “lol” ;-P

After hearing the account, Paul Monti [Jared’s father] said his reaction could only be described as amazement … Paul Monti said it was very special, and important, for him to hear Obama emphasize Jared’s selfless nature.

“The president was kind enough to include in his remarks Jared’s actions as a humanitarian,” Paul Monti said. “This is the way I want him remembered.”

Before the ceremony, the immediate family met privately with the president and first lady.

Paul Monti said Michelle Obama was “most gracious,” but that he wished to keep the details of the meeting private.

I am surprised nobody in the mainstream has begun noticing this yet – but is it not possible that Ivanka and Donald Trump are reminiscent of Gloria and Jay Pritchard on Modern Family?

Both are older American white males married to hot bombshell foreign women.

Liberals might try to think of it in that manner and then they would get over their fears sooner.

After all, Jay and Gloria are very accepting and supportive of his gay son’s gay marriage on the TV show.

Even better still, Ivanka might begin behaving and talking just like Gloria on the TV show, just to make the White House and the US political scene more interesting to follow.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, is a kindness & cliché. Unrelated to reality. There are standards of beauty & graciousness. Moochelle had neither. Nor her husband. Descriptions of them both as being elegant; her, because someone dressed her up (without sleeves usually) in a, silk purse out of a sow’s ear, ensemble for occasions after someone straightened her hair, probably with an industrial iron. Him, only because he was thin, on occasion. Ridiculous fictions only vomited out by the now-declining Liberal biased MSM. No one else was fooled. He attracted flies on more than a few occasions & her gigantic behind occluded anything beyond it in camera shots. There was no graciousness to her attitude when she specifically expressed pride, only because blacks were in the White House. No concept was ever forthcoming from either of them of national pride, pride of tradition or the grace one usually assumes when residing in a great place. Neither of them brought style, elegance or pride into the White House. Very much to the contrary, on all points. Which I won’t delineate.

It IS a new day. We have a man that understands the pride of place, has himself learned sophistication because of his great wealth. He’ll do well. He’s actually an American. Not just a citizen, ready to rip everything apart because he thinks the country has been unfair. THE most un-American president that has ever held office or will ever hold it again. Because the country did indeed learn its lesson & even the Democrats, who from the beginning made it clear he was given the keys to power with caveat & probation. All of which he violated. He failed their party. Though our liberal-biased press has made sure to only showcase the Obamas’ fans & supporters. Make no mistake about it, the Dem leadership learned to despise him. There were even some parting shots by them, at the Obamas that the press couldn’t ignore.

We have a woman as first lady who is awed, scared & grateful for her ascendancy to her new station. You can see it in her demeanor. She’s scared. A good sign. She’s not ready to punch people in the head, like Moochelle was, right from the beginning. Radicals unable to be anything but the scum that they are at heart. Melania is proud, beautiful by all standards & elegant in reality.

Trump’s Inaugural Speech was perfect. His gist that power needs to be returned to the People is magnificent. It’s what we’ve waited for, for years. Trump’s agenda aligns with the Founders of our Republic.

Michelle Obama did the part of First Lady well Maybe not with all her political input being judged, but she had some class in dress.

The new First Lady has started well – at least in her dress. And all without finding herself the poorer for all those refused to dress her. A great start for the value of freedom over the notion of entitlement.

I suspect Melania can make Target off-the-rack look good.

Rusty, the page on the White House web site reads, to me, like a resume: what she’s been doing. If there were a link to QVC, I might raise an eyebrow.

Selling jewelry on TV sure beats selling favors to the Saudis, Russian uranium miners…

If Melania is using the White House website to sell jewellery, than maybe she’ll use the proceeds to decorate The White House.

Or help with lunch programs that serve disadvantaged children. Everyone needs to eat.

No she hasn’t. She’s a vagina with teeth on two legs. Graceless, classless, bitter, entitled, arrogant. In other words, an EXEMPLARY Democrat.

Many things can be said for Michelle Obama, but for those that think that she “dressed well”, I don’t think you’ve been paying close attention for all of the past eight years. Check out some of her orange, um, costumes (that’s about the best spin I can put on some of them). She appeared to be trying for an avant-garde look, and usually failing miserably.

As for Melania, what a knockout! Even CNN was comparing her to Jackie Kennedy. It’s an apt one; I think we’ll be seeing more of a similar tone over the next four years. (And yes, she probably can make off-the-rack at Targét look stunning.)

Michelle wore thousands of outfits over the last eight years. I’m certain you can find a few that aren’t the best.

But, hey, she’s just a “vagina with teeth on two legs.” Huh?

Although Michelle Obama is not my favorite person, I have to admit that it is hard for a woman with a tall and mostly lanky build to look graceful and elegant. It’s easier for men to pull off. I think her problem, looks-wise, is that she is an angry woman, and that distorts a challenging set of facial bones. When she smiles and is actually happy (rarely), she looks fine. (Sometimes I did question her taste in clothing and jewelry as much as I paid any attention to it at all [i. e., not much], but there were a few times when everything worked.)

Today, I thought Melania Trump looked stunning in what she wore for the swearing in. And yes, she would look great in something off the rack from almost any store, but it will be hard for her to top that outfit on her.
