Another Glorious Day of Trump Derangement

January 26, 2017 by V the K

This will not be a daily feature, but it could be. Between the time I got up this morning and the time I finished dinner, all of this happened or made the news.

  • Mainstream media (the Democrat-Media Complex) ran with a story that the entire senior staff of the State Department had resigned in horror because of their unwillingness to work with Trump. (In reality, it wasn’t the entire senior State Department staff, and they were fired, as commonly happens to political appointees when a new administration comes in.)
  • Publicity-hound scienticians moved the Doomsday clock “closer to midnight” because Trump is going to blow up the world, just like Reagan did.
  • The Economist declares the United States a “Flawed Democracy,” on the theory that a properly functioning democracy would never have elected Donald Trump. (We’re not even a democracy, anyway, thank the Founders. We’re a Constitutional Representative Republic.)
  • Teacher in Dallas TX posts Instagram video of her shooting at a video of Donald Trump with what appears to be a squirt gun, yelling “Die!”
  • Buzzfeed falsely accuses Trump family and administration officials of “voter fraud,” because they were registered in more than one district. (Common enough thing; people move, and election boards are notoriously lazy about updating voter lists, especially in California, New York, and Florida.)
  • MSDNC host is triggered over the content of a bookshelf in the Trump State Department.
  • EPA workers reportedly coming to work in tears because of Trump’s election. (“What is best in life? To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women.”)

Maybe it’s just me, but is it possible… just possible… that the Trump-haters are a little bit over the top?

@1: what’s your point? There are countless opinion polls asking silly questions and getting silly results. I’d bet a dollar that Hillary voters, asked the same question, would give the same answer.

Scott Adams has an interesting blog post about outrage-overload.

    http://blog.dilbert.com/post/156399716951/outrage-dilution

Note to lefties: when everything is an outrage, nothing is an outrage. Most people, seeing, say, womyn prancing around in pussy hats and (Ashley Judd) going on about their bloody sheets, just roll their eyes and think WTF.

Add to that the media, discrediting itself over and over, are just adding to their troubles.

The State Dept. “firings” are a good example. Presidential appointees tender their resignations when a new administration comes in. The new POTUS gets to install his people. That’s why we have elections.

I remember when Clinton “fired” all the US attorneys (and, yes, a deal was made of that). I figured that, aside from any that were investigating the Clintons or their cronies, it was Bill’s prerogative.

The moron, craycray, doesn’t understand the difference between a real email server and a “survey says” email server.

The moron, craycray, doesn’t realize that the same polling people predicted a solid win for Mrs. Clinton. Most of my social circle flood online surveys and lie on phone surveys. What a dumb@ss..

RE #15. The EPA in recent years has been exceeding their writ by trying to get authority over things they have no right to control. They have also been politicized into requirements that exceed rationality. The basic function of the EPA is not-objectionable, but they have gone too far. (And are incompetent in some of their actions also.)

@ V the K: At this point, the majority of pollution isn’t coming from the West, it’s coming from developing countries like China, India, and Brazil, whose policy makers aren’t too fussed about the global effects of deforestation, or the pumping of massive amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere without filtering it. Now, if the international community could compel such nations to adopt more efficient filtering systems, then things would be hunky-dory. But white people don’t seem to want to tell non-Europeans how to behave anymore, so fat chance of that happening.

Cray is a typical liberal .. can’t distinguish between an actual thing and an imagined thing.

People THINKING Trump could have a private email server and Clinton HAVING a private email server are two completely different things. Only a moron wouldn’t be able to see the difference.

    Cray Cray,

I clicked on your link at #1. When I saw it was Bzzzzzfebble, I cringed. Then my senility addled brain went into modulating confusion. Why would Trump want a private email server? Why would a huge aggregation of folks wish for Trump to have a private email server? Did Trump hint at wanting a private email server and I missed the whole brouhaha which must have arisen? Since I don’t read Infowars, is there a conspiracy crowd of preppers agitating for Trump to have a private email server directly contacted to their decoder rings?

Then I read the ensuing comments and I got minimal help in clarifying the mystery thumping in my senility addled brain.

At last, I was struck by an epiphany. Hillary got Wikileaked because of her association with a dime store email set-up and by sending classified stuff to malevolent and putrefying scum like Sidney Blumenthal. So, the impeach-Trump-now crowd is following David Brock down the rabbit hole of smearing Trump with wanting a private email server so that his growing Gestapo will know whose windows to smash during the night of the upcoming Kristallnacht. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

Wait! Mr. Trouble-Trump never hangs around when he hears that Born-Yet-Again Hillary mighty sound: Here I come to save the day! We’re not worrying at all, we just listen for her call. When there a wrong to right, Born-Yet-Again Hillary will join the fight! Here she comes to saver the day! Mighty Born-Yet-Again Hillary is on the way!

In a move worthy of ND30, V links to an article that contradicts what he is trying to convince us of: “Although the report’s publication comes shortly after the election of President Donald Trump, the EIU analysts write that the US was not downgraded because of him.”

So no, they weren’t basing this on “the theory that a properly functioning democracy would never have elected Donald Trump. “

  29. rtm says

    January 27, 2017 at 4:51 pm - January 27, 2017

I understand that you have established that they think Trump wouldn’t have been elected in a properly functioning democracy, but that you haven’t established that his election is why they downgraded us.

Too hard for you to understand? Yeah, it’s probably too hard for you to understand.

‘Over the top?’ Not at all, given the context.

The context is that Progressives view Western society as a playground where they can run their social experiments paid for by their ‘parents’ (the gainfully employed) whom they despise but are nonetheless expected to foot the bill and clean up messes.

Consider a teenager told they have to start doing chores and otherwise contribute to the household (society): the reactions are similar.

  32. rtm says

    January 27, 2017 at 10:06 pm - January 27, 2017

Blair, this myth that progressives are never financially independent of their parents, don’t have their own homes, don’t support themselves, don’t pay income taxes, sales taxes, and property taxes (I pay all those!) — is why this site is such a marginal conservative site. I mean, I’m sure it’s handy for conservatives to have this site to point to, but that really reduces the site and its authors to nothing more than “useful idiots.”
