Trump Must Be Hitler, Otherwise the People Who Said He Was Hitler Must Admit Being Wrong

January 31, 2017 by V the K

Interesting thesis. The idea that because so many on the left (and a few on the right) have been screaming “Trump is Hitler,” so loudly and so adamantly that they either have to make him into Hitler, or admit that they were being stupid and foolish.

Now you have literally millions of citizens in the United States who were either right about Trump being the next Hitler, and we will see that behavior emerge from him soon, or they are complete morons. That’s a trigger for cognitive dissonance. The science says these frightened folks will start interpreting all they see as Hitler behavior no matter how ridiculous it might seem to the objective observer. And sure enough, we are seeing that.

But lately I get the feeling that Trump’s critics have evolved from expecting Trump to be Hitler to preferring it. Obviously they don’t prefer it in a conscious way. But the alternative to Trump becoming Hitler is that they have to live out the rest of their lives as confirmed morons. No one wants to be a confirmed moron. And certainly not after announcing their Trump opinions in public and demonstrating in the streets. It would be a total embarrassment for the anti-Trumpers to learn that Trump is just trying to do a good job for America. It’s a threat to their egos. A big one.

Scott Adams has really hit it on the head with the Trump Derangement Syndrome manifestations. When George W. Bush was “literally” Hitler, and Mitt Romney was a future Hitler, one really needs to double down on the cognitive dissonance in order to top those doozies. Hence, I believe he will be proven correct in his predictions: every little thing for the next four years will be evidence of 21st Century Hitlerism. It won’t matter how ridiculous it is because it’s still preferable to admitting you’re an idiot for making the claim in the first place.

Much of modern leftism is based upon identity victimhood and the opportunity to see a tyrant made flesh isn’t merely one of fantasy; rather, it affirms their identity’s status. Others (and perhaps the same) on the left desire authoritarianism and so to consider Trump a kind of Hitler is a kind of projection. Reality requires nuance and those who regard Obama as a messiah and Trump as Hitler have none.

    littlelettermikey, the fascist:

get white nationalists like Bannon out of the government!

    Teach us, please.

Your conclusion is: Steve Bannon is a white nationalist. What you have failed to post is the the rest of the syllogism. To wit: an instance of a form of reasoning in which a conclusion is drawn (whether validly or not) from two given or assumed propositions (premises), each of which shares a term with the conclusion, and shares a common or middle term not present in the conclusion (e.g., all dogs are animals; all animals have four legs; therefore all dogs have four legs ).

Your middle term is missing. You start with “white nationalist” and you end up with Steve Bannon. What is the link which proves your point?

We will start the clock and turn it off after you once again disappear from the thread.

Mother Jones is my “go-to” source for extreme leftist, whacko conspiracies. Mother Jones loathes Steve Bannon for having interviewed, in his Sirius XM days, the following people: Roger Stone, Pam Geller, Frank Gaffney, Rosemary Jenks, and Robert Spencer.

Just how white nationalism is tied to being “cautious” about ISIS and radical Islamic jihadists is a mystery to me, but we can absolutely count on littlelettermikey, the fascist to clear it all up and put a bow on it.

    Definition of a White Nationalist:

    1. Anyone who disagrees with Ashley Judd about anything.

    2. Anyone who believes that immigrants from countries that are known hotbeds for terrorism should have to submit to temporary delays and inconvenience, similar to the delays and inconveniences that US citizens have to endure when legally buying a gun or renewing a driver’s license.

synonyms: racist, sexist, bigot, Nazi, homophobe, Islamophobe, Republican, conservative, libertarian, Trump voter.

I’m going to be generous & explain something for the little letter mike. Using Ben Shapiro to explain, as a cudgel or as an attack point against Conservatives, Republicans or even Right-leaning Libertarians – doesn’t work. He’s out of favor. He has been for quite a while. He lost. As is his way, he doubles down against the new order on the Right, instead of just enjoying the benefits of a Trump win. No one expects a Leftist to understand the dynamics on the Right. But when Leftists attempt to use the old divide & conquer routine to attack issues & people on the Right, they fail. They humiliate themselves. Expose themselves as ignoramuses. There are factions on the Right & Left. “mike” doesn’t even agree with Shapiro but uses Shapiro’s sour grapes to make a point? It’s a non-starter. While everyone else is commenting (& thinking) on a different level, mike thinks he’s making waves. Except that he’s up sh!t creek without a paddle. Nothing Shapiro says currently is actually valid. It’ll take some time before he recoups. He’s trying to make waves himself by continuing on as he’s done before. His venues are shrinking, he’s made enemies & he was never able to understand why Trump was supported. Never understood that it was Trump’s agenda that garnered support right from the beginning. Not Trump’s personal history or ideology.

I used to like & keep track of Shapiro. That means I watched his personal, public fights with people, his published diatribes & I caught most of his appearances big & small debates with Libs. Most of which were boring but he was a golden boy. Which he is no longer. Some people never warmed up or understood Trump. I get that. Some people hate particular individuals right from the beginning. I get that too. Basically, Shapiro is eclipsed & is spinning in place. I don’t know if he has the wherewithal to pull out of it. Maybe he’ll remain a George Will figure, who appeals to a minority of the Right but doesn’t quite have all his ducks in a row. Maybe not.

Leftists understand none of this. They’re incapable of understanding conservatism. Keeping the best in society & opposing radical change. It’s just not in their characters to entertain individualism & patriotism.

This is my PSA for the week. I’ve strengthened my personal policies to not engage Liberals directly. I just couldn’t resist saying something to counter the little mike as he vomited out Shapiro’s name over & over & over. Shapiro, were he here [god forbid], would rip little mike to pieces on his inability to defend liberalism & the rest of the garbage on the left.

“mike”, you’re lower than our fallen angels. You can’t even hold a candle high enough to illuminate Shapiro, who has disgraced himself with his own stubbornness & lack of maturity.

So you only listen to a small sect of people who dont speak truth but instead speak to your narrow ideological bent? And if they leave that narrow shelf you have created you don’t trust them because they are “out of favor?”

Sorry, littlelettermikey, the fascist you put that monkey on your back, not mine.

I don’t even know what a “white nationalist” is. Is it that old Democrat Party KuKluxKlan stuff?

Heck, I don’t even know what a “race” is. Hitler said Jews are a race, so are you saying that Muslims are a race? But what does that have to do with “white” and is “white” albino or some shade of pink and so’s your old man.

littlelettermikey, the fascist what’s your point. In fact, where’s the beef?

If you have adopted Ben Shapiro as your guiding light, good on you. Everybody needs an idol, especially idiots who need idiots. But, if Ben Shapiro speaks for all conservatives, maybe you could direct us all to the imperial canonical papers which raised him to that level.

However, if you insist that I speak for Ben Shapiro, I will: Screw you and the mule you rode in on.

Hey, mike. Let me just take a moment & use your #18 strategy against you. What was the result of your pedophilia conviction? I hope you didn’t do much time. Are you going to take the deal that the prosecutor is offering to avoid going to trial for the murder of your mom?

It’s not a matter of me listening to a small sect of people, whoever they would be, since I only addressed the fact of Shapiro’s situation because you are oblivious to it all. I didn’t create any situation. We The People voted for Trump, got the majority of states & we now have President Trump? So… Bubble? Narrow ideological bent? I’m an independent. I’m a Conservative. Conservatism is an orientation, not an ideology. We stood up & seized power via the Constitution. I don’t expect you to understand any of this, including Shapiro’s disgrace. I’ve invalided your current strategy of using Ben as a weapon. You don’t understand Conservatism. You barely understand whatever flavor of Leftist stupidity to which you subscribe.

If I were of a “narrow ideological bent”, do you really think people like me would have won the election? After all, we didn’t have a black man to vote for because he’s black. We didn’t have powerful senators to pick the most likely candidate to support & succeed. We had our numbers, our existing grouping as a movement (TPM) & we had the Constitution & commonsense on our side to grab the support & additional independents needed for a sweeping win, completely slaughtering the Left, with more to come in the future! Your little attempts to say things into existence is typical of your kind. It’s the way Leftists fabricate what they want into existence. But that existence is as flimsy as Obama’s “legacies”. Ripped apart with the flourish of a pen.

This time around, it’s because we spoke the truth; being the reason for our win. After all the Leftist BS, people spoke the truth, the truth based on the US Constitution & commonsense measures & common decency & the truth behind the tyranny of the minority.

We showed the GOP how to win & it’s not a strategy that the Left can use because there is no defense of Liberalism that is rational enough to grab the votes. You guys shot off all your loads of crap with your Blacklivesmatter, social justice warrior BS. You’ve got nothing else! The Democratic Party is in total disarray, your leaders are engaging in petty psych attacks that are without meaning. You’re ilk is even considering electing a 3rd rate, small muslim for chairman of the DNC. The only thing you have, is the illusion of strength of the mob. Protests funded by Soros & egged on by CAIR. Just how long did OccupyWallStreet last? Give it some thought. Seek therapy to avoid suicide because that would be just terrible.

@ James: The alt-Right (and Shapiro, apparently) thought that Milo’s articles railing against the Left’s boogieman of “white privilege” was synonymous with white nationalism (notice how the Left only gets their pantsuits in a knot over nationalism when it’s white). Which is ridiculous, since Milo has always extolled the Western concept that people can come together regardless of faith or race and live in harmony, and of the West’s devotion to representative government. Those are concepts that run directly contrary to white nationalism, which advocates for segregated nations and is suspicious of self-governance. That and Milo likes the dark meat of the chicken if you get my meaning.

Milo (and any reasonable person, for that matter) believes that making judgment calls about somebody based on their race is stupid since it’s something that we have no control over. So the SJWs and white nationalists are equally stupid in his book.

mike – If I spend a few minutes, I can find any number of left-wing writers with very unkind things to say about, of, HRC and BHO.

Maureen Dowd, for example, doesn’t think much of the Clintons. Down is certainly a big-foot columnist compared to Shapiro; she writes in the New York Times, for heaven’s sake.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2016/07/10/opinion/sunday/the-clinton-contamination.html?_r=0

Therefore, by your logic, HRC is beyond the pale and you should renounce her immediately.
