Mainstream Leftists: Violence Is Good (When Our Side Uses it Against Conservatives)

February 8, 2017 by V the K

The Student Newspaper at the UC-Berkeley has published a whole series of editorials defending violence as a legitimate tool of political opposition.  (Hat Tip: TnnsNE1) The basic justification: It’s OK to assault people, set fires, and destroy property if there is a risk that a conservative is going to say something that hurts someone’s feelings.

I will keep asking: How can any reasonable, decent person want to be part of the American Left?

I’m registered as blank voter. No party at all. We don’t have regular political discussions in our house because we’re too busy living our lives instead of fighting to protect some politician or party that only cares about themselves. BUT… My teenage son regularly tells me how republicans want to kill people and destroy the country, he heard it from his teachers. I said well they should be teaching the subject they’re employed to teach, and instead of puking out what they tell you, I raised you to think for yourself. If you can’t do that, and continue to attack your father and me for providing for you, then be prepared because when you graduate and turn 18 you will no longer be living here.

He graduated, turned 18, continued to attack me and say the riots were justified, his teachers said so. I said well then I hope one will take you in, get out. And btw, your father and I paid for your clothes, your lap top, we own them. You can leave with what you’re wearing, I won’t make you leave naked, but you will leave. He actually balled up his fists against me. His mother! This is what they’re being taught. He’s six feet, I’m 5’2″ and he had zero thought about attaching me. None. I told him I know you’ve been taught violence by your teachers so,let’s go. I have six brothers and was a boxer for excersize, take the first shot and you better take me down because you threaten me and I’ll sure as hell take you down.

He doesn’t live here anymore, he calls his father all the time crying and begging to come home. But each and every time he says I threw him out because he didn’t agree with me. Until he’s not brainwashed he can’t live here.

See those bumper stickers thank a teacher? If your family was destroyed, THank a teacher.

Wow, Tilly. You did well. Hopefully the child will learn. I believe that people on the Left tend to violence because it’s the easy way to defend something that has no defense. Leftism’s various experiments can be ripped apart with commonsense & facts, & violence is the refuge of those that aren’t up on their leading ideologues’ explanations.

Thanks Hanover, hardest thing I’ve ever done and I quit smoking! This is a child that I carried for nine months, gave birth to, sacrificed for and cried over. I raised him to be himself, not a mini me, or a mini anyone else. I don’t know how he got that way.

I’ve always heard from neighbors or mothers of his friends how polite he is. I’ve been told he learned it from home and what he sees. It’s appreciated although humbling and they don’t know the fight against what he’s told daily.

I also keep hearing college degree or you’re uneducated. College degree in what? I have a college degree in science but I left my job because I thought raising children as future citizens was the most important job ever. Sure we could have more money, but I had a feedOm of CHOICE.

Anyway, thanks. Hopefully one day he’ll return to us, the son before. If not and until then, I have a life, was born with one and mine isn’t yours. Know what I mean?
