Back in 2016, you may recall there was a ‘Draft Biden’ movement for a little while. Some Democrats — a minority to be sure — felt that Hillary was too corrupt and sleazy to be elected President. It was reasoned that Joe Biden was a lot less sleazy than the Clintons. That is still technically true, however….
The news recently splashed across the New York tabloids that Hunter Biden, the surviving son of the ex-VP, is having an affair with Hallie Biden, the widow of Beau Biden, who died last year of brain cancer. She appropriately appears in all the family funeral pictures mourning alongside other family families.
Two months later, Hunter’s now estranged wife, Kathleen, was out. And now, Hallie is in.
As reported by NYP‘s Page Six, the divorce filings between Hunter and his estranged wife, Kathleen reveal so much more.
Namely, the family’s got debt because of bad boy Hunter Biden’s questionable spending habits that allegedly involve drugs, hookers, strip clubs, incredible debt and an $80,000 bauble that has disappeared.
Nice little Latin soap opera Joe Biden has going there.
Hunter Biden, you may recall, had a sweet gig on the board of a Ukrainian oil company… back when Democrats didn’t care about administrations having compromising ties to foreign governments.
Too soon?
Try as I might, I just can’t bring myself to care about this supermarket tabloid level scandal story.
Biden Family Values, … **yetch**.
I am not supporting them or their politics by any means, but all families have personal problems, be they liberal or conservative. I am not so sure it’s right to go after them for family drama…I know my own family has had its share. Still doesn’t make me like them though.
This post is not so much a comment on the Biden family problems as it is a tacit reminder that if Biden were a Republican Vice President, the “escapades” of the Republican’s son would be non-stop on The View, MSNBC, CNN, SNL, and the wags of the night.
Wait until they discover that Mike Pence has been found to have little black ants on his kitchen counter at the Vice-President’s mansion. It will begin ten years of litigation over environmental impact claims and protesting that Black Ant Lives Matter.
I agree with @4! This scandal does not reflect on Joe Biden’s character. All families have black sheep. (I know. I was one in my twenties.)

And, with at least SOME justification. Too many in the conservative side portray thrmselves as goody-goody oh-so-moral pillars of the community. Their daughters are all virgins, their sons tee-totallers, and none of their children are (heaven forbid!) homosexual. They are all deacons if their undoubtedly Protestant church.
What they portray and what they might in fact BE is newsworthy. We are expected to think the left are all crazed sex fiends so, it’s just another sun-rises-in-the-east story.
All families do indeed have the black sheep, but Joe Biden, especially seems to me that he really considers himself above the “rest of us. He gives off this “air” of “Im better than you.” (IMHO)
#8 Mr. Drake: it is a rare politician indeed that does NOT put on airs. A prime example is from my childhood: Adlai Stevenson. The things he said right out in the open about the common man were as bad, or worse, than anything said by recent politicians. His open contempt for the people in what is now called “flyover country” was amazing. And yet his ardent supporters (my late mother included) wondered how he lost to that soldier. Twice.
The Gentle Grizzly speaks of conservatives putting on airs of moral rectitude in his #7 comment and I generally agree that the characterization is rich with examples.
Some folks are better than others at fighting temptation and holding on to a reputation of honesty and decency by working at keeping their own houses in order.
When Bill Clintoon was harpooned by way of a “stained” blue dress, he picked up his nine pound Bible and went on a wide-screen national tour of sorrow and repentance with Juicy Jackson as his confessor and guiding light.
You may believe Clintoon’s sincerity over his optics to the extent that your stomach will take it. Nina Burleigh is the reporter who infamously said she would be “happy to give [Bill Clinton] a blowjob just to thank him for keeping abortion legal.” Burleigh formerly was the White House correspondent for Time Magazine and covered the Clinton White House.
I suggest that folks who operate under situation ethics and moral relativism are in constant scoffing and demeaning mode whenever a person with a Christian-based belief system presents himself as a target. “To err is human, to forgive, divine” really doesn’t apply to those who do not engage in tolerance and fair play. They do not fight for righteousness; they demand to be proclaimed “right.” It is all about power for them and nothing more.
