PDT just appointed an openly gay man as the US Ambassador to NATO. But I’m sure it won’t spoil the anti-Trump tantrums protests Gay Democrats are planning for the month of June.

Signaling to the rest of the Democrat Coalition that Party Loyalty trumps honesty, the WeHo Democrat Gays have canceled their Pride Parade and replaced it with a protest against the most pro-gay president in American History.

Meanwhile, the annual pride parade has been canceled, ceding to the nationwide LGBT Resist March that is scheduled in many U.S. cities for Sunday, June 11, the day the Los Angeles pride parade would normally occur.

The fasces just can’t go letting each individual twig think in terms of its own self interest.

Hat Tip: CH

Update: And gays aren’t the only Democrat Plantation Demographic putting Party over self-interest.

“There is also a general sense among Jews, at least liberal Jews, that Trump’s supporters are significantly more anti-Semitic than the public at large. I have many times asked for empirical evidence that supports this proposition, and have so far come up empty. I don’t rule out the possibility that it’s true, but there doesn’t seem to be any survey or other evidence supporting it. Given that American subgroups with the highest proportions of anti-Semites — African Americans, first-generation Hispanic immigrants, Muslims and high school dropouts — are strong Democratic constituencies (though the latter group appears to have gone narrowly for Trump this time), one certainly can’t simply presume that Trump has a disproportionate number of anti-Semitic supporters. Often living in a blue bubble, liberal Jews easily can panic when they don’t know anyone who voted for the other side’s candidate(s), and can assume the worst about the other side’s supporters. . . . The irony of all this is that if you talk privately to those who work in the Jewish organization world, many will confide that the greatest threat to the security of the American Jewish community is ‘changing demographics,’ which is a euphemism for a growing population of Arab migrants to the United States. Anti-Semitism is rife in the Arab world, with over 80 percent of the public holding strongly anti-Semitic views in many countries.”

The Mohammedans don’t much care for The Gheys either.

With Ryan’s Republicans introducing an Obamacare Repeal and Replace Retool and Rename bill, it’s useful to remember what Republicans have forgotten: The free market works when you let it work.

Art Villa found out, after one too many boating accidents, that he needed a total knee replacement, he began asking around to see how much it would cost. The hospital near his home in Helena, Mont., would charge $40,000 for the procedure, he says. But that didn’t include the anesthesiologist’s fee, physical therapy or a stay at a rehabilitation center afterward. A 2015 Blue Cross Blue Shield study found that one hospital in Dallas billed $16,772 for a knee replacement while another in the same area charged $61,585.

It was in the midst of this confounding research that Villa, who’s 68, heard about the Surgery Center of Oklahoma, whose business model is different from that of most hospitals. There, the all-inclusive price for every operation is listed on the website.

The Surgery Center would charge $19,000 for his whole-knee replacement, a discount of nearly 50% on what Villa expected to be charged at his local hospital [Actually, that’s more than 50%. 19K is less than half of 40K – V]. And that price would include everything from airfare to the organization’s only facility, in Oklahoma City, to medications and physical therapy.

Isn’t it amazing. When you cut out the layers and layers of bureaucracy (either at private insurance companies or in the Government), the cost of medical procedures drops by over fifty percent.

Now, if only someone could convince Donald Trump and the GOP Establishment of this.

I could never get my head around the idea of why so many people think it’s morally wrong to expect people to be responsible for their own health care.
