Chelsea Clinton Update

Chelsea Clinton has been named to the Board of Directors of Expedia… obviously because of her incredible business acumen and keen insight into the web-based travel reservation industry.

I guess the Clintons have to do something to earn money now that their Totally-Legit-Not-At-All-A-Donation-Laundering-and-Influence-Peddling-Operation-At-All Foundation is shutting down.

  1. Crony Capitalism at it’s corrupt, insidious worst.

And yes, I’m jealous that she gets to play and I don’t.

  2. Cut to the chase and you will find the publicity shy mover and shaker Ronald O. Perelman who collects women, influence and money, money and more money.

There is a quid pro quo attached to the Chelsea appointment and I would bet that Perelman is holding the leash. Chelsea will get $45,000 annually and $252,000 in stocks. At 37, Chelsea also sits on the board of IAC/Interactive Corp which owns,, Vimeo, Investopedia and The Daily Beast.

Beside the money, Chelsea will have ample corporate jet travel, plenty of Hampton’s time, introductions for her Hedge Fund hubby and endless comps, parties and soirees throughout Manhattan. She is becoming an “A-List” invitee without any obligation to reciprocate. A true Grifter Princess. There is always the chance that she can get either the Grifter King or the Grifter Queen to come along with her as she schmoozes the select group of society mavens and climbs the populadder for evermore grifter swag.

Back on March 28, 1903, C.K.G. Billings held a dinner in New York City at Sherry’s Hotel and Restaurant where men in full evening dress ate from special tables as sat on thoroughbred horses.

The old gilded age was something to behold. It has been coming back for some time and the penthouses of Manhattan are not nearly so obvious as were the mansions of Fifth Avenue. But it is back in force. Along with it come all the hucksters and grifters who have a saprophytic relationship with anything which smells of money.

  3. They get to have their talons into everything. Another example was Valerie on the Board of Fed Reserve of Chicago. Control is an understatement. They have to get in on everything in order to completely take over. I feel bad for those living in the next few hundred years. The American Freedom Experiment is pretty much over. It’s been fun while it lasted… until the witchery of the communal envy circle-jerk took over.

  4. IAC/Interactive Corp is Barry Diller’s current baby. He’s been a Dem donor and a Hillary supporter for years. So it’s basically doing something nice “for the little one”.

Still, can you imagine her contributions at a board meeting? “You guys, I think we should have a punch card system like So for every 10 hotel nights or every 10 flights, you’d get a free hotel night or flight!”

I can’t see her reading balance sheets and profit & loss statements—at least enough to ask cogent questions about them that aren’t virtue-signalling like she knows what’s going on.

  5. I didn’t know Expedia was doing so well they could afford showering a leech in the 7 figures annually, just for her to update on a bi-quaterly basis her fan page’s bio section — regarding how much “she doesn’t really care about “making” money”.

  6. Chelsea Clinton doesn’t care about making money because she doesn’t have to. Must be nice to have so much money you don’t have to worry about making any.

  7. @6:

Materially speaking, I guess (that be nice, for self).

Humanely speaking, my little pinky tells me it significantly increases the risk to turn you into an evil spoiled (and spoiling) brat, all the way to your death bed.

E.g., Karl Marx’s life and “works”.

  9. (The adjective “emblematic” comes to mind… Hmm… Or would the proper spelling be, “em-blame-a-tick”? Hmm… Hmm. Hmm.)

  10. Woa.

  11. Expedia… does Chelsea know if they can find us flights to… back in time?

    Warning: graphic, offensive content

  12. Moi, je prefere Paris de 1965. (Okay, that’s about all the French I’ll use in public.)

I am amused and a little wistful at how most of the men wore suits and ties (or at least jackets and ties). So many of the men and women look so slovenly now.

Cyril, YouTube has several other videos of the confrontations about the Roquette Synagogue. Was it a particularly notable synagogue, or just a tempting target for basic anti-antisemitism?

  13. @TheQuietMan

I wasn’t there when it happened, and because I’m neither jewish or muslim, I would have had virtually zero interest in taking sides — only feeling sorry for the hard working local business owners, and the residents of those couple streets.

Now, to answer more specifically and on point, no, Paris has several synagogues, and I don’t know if that one has a particular significance.

AFAICT/I can see, this was two clans/mobs of thugs using Paris as their war zone.

What I do know for a fact, though, is french police received instructions (no matter what the official denials may say, we re not blind or idiots, are we) to say mostly on the sides, standing and watching.

The muslim/pro palestine camp will of course say there was some bias towards the zionists, and the other way around, but why should I care? Not a smidgen of respect for private property, law, or order, from either sides.

Clips like these make me want to experiment the resilience of a baseball bat vs. most french politicians and Paris officials.

  14. * to stay mostly on the sides

  15. This is what happens after you’ve let real, unabashed socialists and commies low lives be in charge of your country for 3 decades, if not continuously, 75% of the time and ongoing — until May this year, anyway.

    Comment by Cyril — March 21, 2017 @ 10:00 pm - March 21, 2017

  16. Cyril (#14-16), Thank you. I did think it strange that the police seemed to do nothing.
