Nancy Pelosi (Granny Rictus Botoximplants {I didn’t make that one up, Ace did}) says that the Trump budget that cuts 1.75% of domestic spending is a “deconstruction” of Government.

This (Trump Budget) is about the systemic deconstruction of the Federal Government and its role.

No, it’s more like a morbidly obese dude who decides to forego ketchup on his Double-Supersized Mega-Bacon Quadruple Cheeseburger, Bucket O’Fries, Oil Drum Milkshake and Pizza combo to cut down on calories.

    Term Limits,
    Term Limits today,
    Term Limits tomorrow,
    and Term Limits forever.

A lifetime limit of twelve years for Congresscriiters and Senators is more than enough “to preserve the institutional knowledge of the House.”

And change the length of the term for congressmen from 2 to 4 years so they aren’t spending all their time running for re-election.

I’ll have me some more of that, please.

    Make that a double.

And yes, I went there.* Deal with it.

Then again, what else, in accounting skills, can we expect from people who … cough, cough… believe,

“Obama created 11 million jobs and nearly tripled the stock market”

    ?

If everyone agreed on what Utopia looked like then everyone might agree on central planners erecting it. But the socialist’s Edenic state is the capitalist’s tyrannical nightmare. Pearl clutching over minimal reductions only emphasizes the gulf between the two sides. Ever since Lincoln decided the Union was superior to the State, and FDR decided Uncle Sam should be revered as “Our Father who art in D.C.” who bestows on us our daily bread. The situation cannot be remedied without constitutional jurists and politicians with conscience and resolve. Our founders were correct, we need government because we’re not angels and we need serious limits on those who govern because they’re not angels either. Doubtful we can return to constitutionally limited federal government but hopefully we can stop the insane path to the left’s Utopia.

Remember that state which threatened to become its own nation if Donald Trump won?

    Someone, explains to me.

How can you claim and threaten, before-after-during throwing tantrums, that you are a grown up enough and you’ll slam the door behind you, leaving, if you don’t get your way —

    — and then, after, surprise! indeed, not getting your way, you’re mad again because you got winds there might be a possibility you won’t get as much free goodies as you were used to, as you are sticking around, after all?

Pelosi was using an inference to Bannon who’s on record as saying the deconstruction of the administrative state has begun which is the antithesis of the Democratic machine’s agenda. Perhaps she wasn’t clear enough because she doesn’t want to give too much attention to Bannon & his commonsense views of constitutional originalism. They don’t like the budget, of course. They don’t want to discuss the details, of course, because that would mean a commonsense delineation of why we don’t need to be nickle & dimed to death, to which they have no valid argument & which would end up reducing their ranks further. They’re scared. Sad. ..& she’s not a good champion for the Left.

I do like tasty fries, however. Just trying to make a meal. Life has so few pleasures.

I made the mistake at looking at some tweets regarding the “cuts” in Meals on Wheels (a smidgen at national level).

Three or four tweets in, there were people tweeting about DJT’s starving of the elderly and some guy going on about the “jellification” of the oceans d/t global warming climate change. Oh, and how DJT, in 60 days, managed to ruin the US healthcare system.

It made me tired so I had to have a nap.

It’s always the same… and We The People gobble it up every time.

    @12:

here, I’m just waiting until start making freaked out projections on how airliners crashes stats will soar by at least 10% just because of his cuts into the FCC’s “net neutrality” boondoggle (so vital, as we know, in order to not let the pueblo chat too much, and decide with another unexpected outcome of the damn election, next time).
