Hillary Clinton Continues the Left’s Tradition of Avoiding Introspection and Self-Awareness

Hillary Clinton is writing a book blaming her election loss on Russia and misogyny.

In her first interview since losing the 2016 election, Hillary Clinton said misogyny had played a role in her election loss.

Clinton “spends a lot of time wrestling” with the fact that 53% of white women voted for Trump and the impact of her gender on her loss, she said at the Women in the World summit.

“Certainly misogyny played a role,” she said.

How Russia and misogyny led her to completely ignore Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania… and, let’s face it… the entire white working class of the United States… I don’t know.

The Democrat left really is wedded to their emotional hot-button issues (tranny bathrooms, illegal immigrants/refugees, political correctness). They find the economic challenges of the middle class beneath them. So mundane! To fret about economic security is surely a sign of low birth. Smart people are supposed to worry about whether transgendered people feel fully accepted; not about whether they will be replaced on the job by an H1-B worker.

That they blame misogyny and Russia for their loss is a product of the same contempt for middle America that was really why they lost the election. “Those ignorant bitter-clinger hicks in flyover rust belt states hate women and are so stupid they fell for Russia’s tricks,” is the essence of their argument.

They simply cannot be wrong.

Everyone else must be wrong.

  3. The really ironic part about Hillary’s claims about feminism and misogyny is that the only reason she ever became anything was because she was married to Bill.

  5. noun: misogyny – dislike of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against women.

So Hillary thinks that she is the ultimate representative of women? Americans’ dislike and contempt for her, *must* be an ingrained prejudice against women in general?

  6. Without Bill, Hillary Rodham would be a retired Tax Law partner from a middling-sized Chicago law firm after a career doing tax-work for Iowa and Illinois small businesses, with two ex-husbands and a son who never amounted to much, and a place in the back-row of her Methodist church choir.

  7. it would be more accurate it she said it was responsible for her support. all the sexist people that voted for Hillary because she is a woman.

I think that’s a best case scenario, but, yeah… pretty close.

  9. @5, yes, Hillary thinks she is the ultimate representative of all women, and any criticism of her must therefore be misogynist.

Liberalism is based on collectivism, and everyone is seen as representative of one group or another. And there can be no such thing as individual responsibility.

If you say, “Hillary Clinton allowed four Americans to be killed in Benghazi, she sold uranium to Russia, she took bribes from Saudi Arabia, and she ignores the concerns of the middle/working class,” the liberal/Progressive hears you say, “All women should stay home and bake cookies. They should not be in politics.”

If you say, “Tashfeen Malik should not have been allowed into the US after openly posting anti-American, pro-jihad comments online,” and, “We need to improve vetting procedures for immigration,” the leftist hears, “I hate all Muslims,” and “No foreigners should ever be allowed into this country.”

You say, “Willie Horton should not have been released from prison.” The Prog hears, “All black people need to be locked up.”

You say, “I think Carol Burnett is funnier than Ellen DeGeneres.” The liberal translates that into, “I hate all LGBT people.”

Conversely, if one sociopathic male rapes a woman, all men are responsible for “rape culture.” And all white people are presumed to be racist.

And, since not all Muslims are terrorists, it follows that no Muslims are terrorists, and Islam has “nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism.”

To the leftist mentality, there is no such thing as “that one individual person.”

Special dispensation is granted to allow leftists to criticize Sarah Palin, Ann Coulter, Ben Carson, and Clarence Thomas.

  10. I think that’s a best case scenario, but, yeah… pretty close.

That is the best case scenario, or perhaps one for the sanitized bio. The more accurate one wouldn’t mention the bar association reprimands and the lawsuits for misappropriation of client funds and implied malpractice because her actions cost her clients money in penalties and interest from various taxing authorities. Of course that would enable her to pique the interest of the Chicago political machine and perhaps be a minor player in an alderman race here and there.

  11. Surely, you don’t expect HRC to consider the fact that she’s 1) unlikable and 2) widely regarded, across the political spectrum, as, uhm, prone to embroider the truth.

Not to forget that HRC, as smart as she is, appeared to believe that all the votes she needed were to be found at Hollywood galas, the Castro, and on Wall Street. Oh, and that business in the Middle East figures in there… somewhere.
