Democrat Tries Trump-Voter Cosplay; Still Loses

Republicans won a special election in Kansas on Thursday for an open house seat; but the Democrats were eager to hand “Trump’s Party” a defeat and spent a lot of time and effort on the race. (See also,  Georgia’s 6th district, where the Democrats have a much better shot because the Republican vote will be split among a vanload of challengers).

One thing that strikes me is how carefully they crafted the image of their challenger. In campaign photos, he is depicted as unshaven, casually dressed with a baseball cap. You can see the consultants choosing this look … “So those Joe Sixpack, bitter clinger types will think he’s one of their own.” But still, the choice of eyewear communicates to Democrats, “It’s OK to vote for him, because he’s smart.”

Trump Nailed It, Hillary Is a Nasty Woman

Campaign book is coming out. Pretty much what we already knew. Hillary was a nasty-tempered harridan who abused, berated, and belittled her staff constantly and blamed them for every campaign shortcoming. (Before she moved on to blaming Russia and Misogyny.) Bill also comes across as a d–k.

Hillary’s severe, controlled voice crackled through the line first. It carried the sound of a disappointed teacher or mother delivering a lecture before a whipping. That back end was left to Bill, who lashed out with abandon. Eyes cast downward, stomachs turning — both from the scare tactics and from their own revulsion at being chastised for Hillary’s failures — Hillary’s talented and accomplished team of professionals and loyalists simply took it. There was no arguing with Bill Clinton

You haven’t buried this thing, the ruddy-cheeked former president rasped. You haven’t figured out how to get Hillary’s core message to the voters. This has been dragging on for months, he thundered, and nothing you’ve done has made a damn bit of difference. Voters want to hear about Hillary’s plans for the economy, and you’re not making that happen. Now, do your damn jobs.

Show of Hands? Who Believes Donald Trump Is Going to Round Up Gay People and Who Ate Paste for Breakfast This Morning?

Joss Whedon … the Hollywood director who has made a career of fetishizing anorexic girls beating up guys … claims that Donald Trump is going to round up gay people just like they are allegedly doing in Chechnya. I am not making this up.

How much of the Democrat Left really believes this stuff? Seriously? How many Democrat gays just hear this and go. “Oh, yeah, Trump is totally going to round up gay people; and then Mike Pence is going to electrocute them for being gay.”

I just can’t imagine the sheer stupidity of anyone who just… I can’t even. It makes my head hurt to imagine being that stupid.

BTW: Some snowflakes at Notre Dame claim the mere presence of Vice President Mike Pence on their campus will make them suffer in the worst way imaginable… they will feel “unsafe.”

“For me personally, [Pence] represents the larger Trump administration,” Imanne Mondane, one of the students behind the campaign, told The Observer, a student-run newspaper. “His administration represents something, and for many people on our campus, it makes them feel unsafe to have someone who openly is offensive but also demeaning of their humanity and of their life and of their identity.”

AP says: the United Nations runs child sex rings

In the ruins of a tropical hideaway…abandoned children tried to make a life for themselves…they never could scrape together enough to beat back the hunger, until the UN peacekeepers moved in a few blocks away.

The men who came from a far-away place and spoke a strange language offered the Haitian children cookies and other snacks. Sometimes they gave them a few dollars. But the price was high: The Sri Lankan peacekeepers wanted sex from girls and boys as young as 12.

…An Associated Press investigation of UN missions during the past 12 years found nearly 2,000 allegations of sexual abuse and exploitation by peacekeepers and other personnel around the world — signalling the crisis is much larger than previously known. More than 300 of the allegations involved children, the AP found, but only a fraction of the alleged perpetrators served jail time.

…Here in Haiti, at least 134 Sri Lankan peacekeepers exploited nine children in a sex ring from 2004 to 2007, according to an internal UN report obtained by the AP.

My thoughts:

  • These were OFFICIAL U.N. PEACEKEEPERS. “Blue helmets”
  • We’ve had rumors about U.N. pedophilia and child trafficking, for years.
  • The Controlled Media usually either ignores/buries this story, or goes out of its way to discredit the people saying it. So, the rumors have been mostly “fringe”.
  • If the Controlled Media is reporting on it now as a legitimate topic… Whoa. Could this be a one-off story? Or will it grow?
  • Hmm, Haiti. Is there anyone in U.S. politics who visited Haiti a lot in the 2000s to “help the kids”? Anyone famous and corrupt, who might have overlooked a few things at the least? But I don’t want to name names. Especially no names involving “pizza”, a cluster-F of a story if there ever was one.

Syria: Whom do you trust?

As former U.N. weapons inspector Scott Ritter has put it:

…chemical attacks had been occurring inside Syria on a regular basis… International investigations of these attacks produced mixed results, with…the majority being attributed to anti-regime fighters, in particular those affiliated with Al Nusra Front, an Al Qaeda affiliate.

Some sort of chemical event took place in Khan Sheikhoun; what is very much in question is who is responsible…

A critical piece of information that has largely escaped the reporting in the mainstream media is that Khan Sheikhoun is ground zero for the Islamic jihadists who have been at the center of the anti-Assad movement…

The Russian Ministry of Defense has claimed that Liwa al-Aqsa [anti-Assad jihadists] was using facilities in and around Khan Sheikhoun to manufacture crude chemical shells and landmines…

Al Nusra has a long history of manufacturing and employing crude chemical weapons; the 2013 chemical attack on Ghouta made use of low-grade Sarin nerve agent locally synthesized, while attacks in and around Aleppo in 2016 made use of a chlorine/white phosphorous blend.

If…the building bombed in Khan Sheikhoun on the morning of April 4, 2017 was producing and/or storing chemical weapons, the probability that viable agent and other toxic contaminants were dispersed into the surrounding neighborhood, and further disseminated by the prevailing wind, is high.

Emphasis added. Although the article is at PuffHo and written by a sex offender (teenage girls), it’s a detailed article and worth reading in full.

So, there’s that. The whole thing could have been an accident, when a Syrian government jet did a conventional attack on a facility where the rebels were storing their own, illegal, home-grown(?) chemical weapons.

On the other hand, we have Defense Secretary Mattis stating, “The Syrian regime attacked its own people with chemical weapons. I have personally reviewed the intelligence and there is no doubt the Syrian regime is responsible for the decision to attack and for the attack itself.”

Fifteen years ago, deciding whether to believe the U.S. defense secretary would have been easy: Just believe him! But, disturbingly, Mattis’ briefing gave almost no supporting details – for a story which makes little sense on its surface.

And a lot has changed, in the last 15 years. We now know to a certainty that the U.S. intelligence agencies get things wrong or even mislead on purpose.

  • Most recently, the proverbial “17 intelligence agencies” supported highly doubtful claims of Russian election hacking.
  • Also, they leaked surveillance information in an effort to stoke fires of McCarthyism (hysteria) against a newly-elected President – who, it seemed at the time, wouldn’t go along with the agencies’ desire to attack Syria.

As such, I’m not comforted to know that Mattis “personally reviewed the intelligence” (a fancy way of saying just that he read the agency reports). I remain a skeptic of the official story. As always, feel free to disagree or to tell me what I missed, in the comments.

As to the larger picture: Trump says, “We’re not going into Syria.” But… Spicer is comparing Assad to Hitler and Nikki Haley is still talking Syria regime change. As is McCain. Yuck.

UPDATE: Zero Hedge lists more reasons to question the official story, including:

  • Evidence that it was anhydrous ammonia or chlorine, not sarin. Supposedly, the “first responders” handled the victims without gloves, which should have killed them (if it was sarin).
  • A statement from Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS), claiming that local U.S. Army officers in Syria agree with the accidental-release theory (mainly faulting the rebels).

Straight male student commits suicide after gay male student accuses him of hate speech and the university denies him any and all due process rights.

Gay student sexually harasses straight student. Gay student reports straight student as the sexual harasser. University repeatedly violates its own rules to find straight student guilty.

Straight student kills himself days after learning his new disciplinary record could keep him out of grad school.

Note to John Cho: This actually is a direct result of an environment that Barack Obama created by telling university’s to interpret Title IX so as to assume all white male students accused of sex or bias crimes are guilty even if proven innocent.

I would hope that the gay student who initiated this (as well as the university bureaucrat who railroaded the guy) feel horrible for the rest of their lives; but I somehow doubt they will.

The straight actor who plays Gay Sulu seems to be as dumb as the gay actor who plays Straight Sulu.

John Cho posted on his Twitter account Monday, “It’s hard not to see a connection between the environment Trump has created and what happened on that @united flight.”

I’m squinting really hard and I’m not seeing the connection. It must be like one of those Magic Eye pictures from the 1990’s. I never got those, either.
