Via HotAir, where John Sexton notes:
There’s nothing funny about the situation in Venezuela, but there is something funny about the socialists who cheered for the country and are just beginning to realize it might be an authoritarian hellhole.
Yeah, how many times have I heard the line, “Well, the reason why it didn’t work in that instance was because the wrong people were in charge.”
The wrong people will ALWAYS be in charge, because for socialism to work you have to have completely altruistic people in charge who see themselves as no better than anyone else and deserving of no more than anyone else.
Yeah, like that’s ever going to happen…
socialism doesn’t work because it is an unjust economic system. the people in power take things from people that work to give to people that don’t work to get political power. see Bernie sanders. what socialism does use to be called slavery, now the left calls it social justice. it is really tyranny and oppression.
Never fear, they are being replaced by young tools like the one Tucker Carlson attempted to edumacate last night who are so full of Bernie-inspired righteousness that they can’t understand how they might possibly be wrong.
