Anything to avoid saying ‘Muslim’

June 4, 2017 by Jeff (ILoveCapitalism)

The first step to solving a problem for real, is: Naming it honestly.

As Mark Steyn points out (hat tip V), our leftie-globalist-academic Superiors want us to believe that “sowing division” is what’s wrong with the endless stream of mass murders by Muslim terrorists. Because the desirable opposite is “unity”, led by those same Superiors.

Thus, they subtly equate their critics with Muslim terrorists. If, say, you’re a free-market populist who rejects the elite consensus, you’re as bad as a Muslim mass murderer. Because you’re also “sowing division”.

It’s similar to how the Left represents “hate speech” (i.e., criticism or rejection of the Left) as a form of violence, unprotected by the First Amendment. Under such insane terms, the Left is allowed to attack you with physical violence because they are only protecting themselves from the “violence” that you were about to think, or say.

Re: the London attacks, British media says they were done by “men of Mediterranean coloring”. It has a courtroom precision to it, which is nice, but also don’t say Muslim.

London’s Muslim mayor, Sadiq Khan, did at least call them “cowardly terrorists”. And Prime Minister Theresa May slammed the “evil ideology of Islamist extremism” – but then went back to calling for “unity”, plus Internet censorship. As opposed to, say, deporting the UK’s known Muslim radicals and improved vetting of Muslim immigrants, or better enforcement of the UK’s existing laws against inciting violence.

It’s beyond question that the murderers were doing it for Allah. One can only hope that the good people of the UK will wake up.

Sure. Sorry says my autocorrect x2.

It’s fascinating how you prove Jennifer Rubin’s point

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/amphtml/blogs/right-turn/wp/2017/06/04/with-his-london-tweets-trump-embarrasses-himself-and-america-once-again/

“Sure, Trump’s policies and rhetoric are incoherent and based on a tower of lies. Far worse, however, is his appalling character, which accelerates the erosion of democratic norms and social cohesion a diverse democracy requires.

The London attacks bring out the best in Britain and in Western leaders on the European continent; it brings out the worst in Trump and his followers. The former protect the soul of Western civilization; the latter drive a stake through the animating ideas that make America special.”

It’s nice to see one conservative who gets it. But folks here would call her a “cuck.”

Failure to assimilate is a critical (if not fatal) fail…and cultural suicide. And the Brits allowing Sharia Law co-jurisdictions is outright insanity.

Assimilation must be encouraged, incentivized, and enforced wherever possible even at the cost of a few hurt feelings. The social costs are too high otherwise.

I call the Mohammedans who support and engage in acts of terror “Islamic Supremacists,” which is both literally accurate, and rhetorically effective. It also separates the Mohammedans who support terror and Global Jihad from those who are not a threat.

As for what the Islamic Supremacists want, it’s quite simple: They want the subjugation of Infidels to Muslims. And the left seems to be intent on giving it to them as they agree to the Islamic Supremacist demands that speech that offends “The Prophet of Islam” be outlawed. They give it to them when they concede parts of the legal system to Sharia Law. They give it to them when they put on the Islamic Slave Collar (head scarf). They give the terrorists what they want when they insist that scholl curricula teach the glory of Islamic civilization, and teach kids the fundamentals of the Islamic religion (with the full support of the ACLU).

It’s not solidarity *with* Islam, it’s subjugation to Islam the left is preaching.

The Arab has always been stereotypically xenophobic towards the “other” through much of their history; since before the time of the Prophet through that of the Sunni Caliphs, during the Ottoman Empire, the Armenian and Palestinian diasporae, and the current Syrian diaspora.

    I against my brother.
I and my brother against my cousin.
I and my cousin against the tribe.
I and my tribe against my neighbors.
I and my neighbors against the outsiders…

Jews and Christians were only welcomed …or even tolerated…once Islam spread beyond the Arabs to the Magreb and Berber Morocco and Iberia…and the more cosmopolitan Turkic Istanbul.

Today’s Gulf states preferred importing hundreds of thousands of obviously “foreign” labor from Pakistan and the Philippines rather than extending an open hand to the Palestinians and later the Syrians. Foreign “temporary labor” guest workers barred from bringing their families and required to immediately return home, rather of “other” Arabs and Palestine emigrating and assimilating. Or worse, changing things from as they were… The current turmoil in Qatar for example; the old Qatari elite versus the recently immigrated working-class.

In many ways, the Hajj reinforces this, stressing their shared “otherness” on Pilgrimage, their outsider-status while visiting the Holy Places among other strangers has much as their shared and communal duties to God and their brother pilgrims…

    Two points:

    1) They are called terrorists, not divisionists. They are trying to sow terror, not division.

    2) But division means diversity. Isn’t that what you want? Doesn’t diversity make us strong?

    “Doesn’t diversity make us strong?”

Only if we’re doing it right, Craig. IMHO, a lot of people aren’t.

So, the answer to Britain’s terrorist problem is “unity” and internet censorship?

As opposed to what she didn’t mention: deporting the UK’s known Muslim radicals? improved vetting of Muslim immigrants? better enforcement of the UK’s existing laws against inciting violence?

    I don’t agree.

Major Nidal Hasan is my poster boy for how political correctness can kill innocent people.

During the six years that Hasan was an intern and resident at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, colleagues and superiors were concerned about his behavior and comments. Hasan was not married at the time and was described as socially isolated, stressed by his work with soldiers, and upset about their accounts of warfare. Two days before the shooting, which occurred less than a month before he was due to deploy to Afghanistan, Hasan gave away many of his belongings to a neighbor.

Prior to the shooting, Hasan had expressed critical views described by colleagues as “anti-American.” An investigation conducted by the FBI concluded that his e-mails with the late Imam Anwar al-Awlaki were related to his authorized professional research and that he was not a threat.

I would like to believe that Major Nidal Hasan was so devious and clever that he completely fooled the authorities. I would like to believe that, because the truth sucks so much. The political correctness zealots made the U.S. Army blind to its own best interests and turned them into cheerleaders for diversity instead of mission. And the FBI was crippled by the CAIR imposed diversity rules which were actually written by Muslims who demanded that any investigation of a Muslim pass strict “profiling” tests.

When the two recent events in London and Manchester occurred, the cops did not run around looking for Quakers from Fiji. They immediately set their sights on the religion that must not be named and ran I.D.’s through their watch list of people who must not be watched and created a web on people who were not randomly associated and made arrests of people who turned out to all flunk the diversity and tolerance tests.

Well, coinkydinks like that will happen. Or not.

Six schools in Baltimore have exactly zero students proficient in math and English according to testing. Baltimore is fourth in the country in spending $16,000 a year per student. If you were to concentrate on patterns and habits or kids who fail, which six schools in Baltimore would you choose for the study?

Enter the Progressives with all their pious claims of social justice for the “victims” and none for the society.

Enter the conundrum. Major Nidal Hasan might have been just the guy to deal with “Muslims” in fight against Islamist Terrorists. How can you tell? Ask the Egyptians and Israelis how they ferret out the bad guys, that’s how. Their methods may not be squeaky clean and ready for prime time psychobabble, but it works. Ask the guys and gals in the interrogation business at Guantanamo how they piece together the bits and pieces of their observations.

Discretion is the better part of piety. The vetting must be clear and comprehensive.

The “must not be named” aspect of the Muslim problem is idiotic. Notice that I called it the “Muslim problem.” The use and application of Islamist terror boils down to yield. To yield is to submit and to submit means death if the Islamist force so rules. Muslims kill each other in greater numbers than they kill any other group. That is the “Muslim problem.” Muslims own it and they refuse to deal with it in ways other than tribalism. That is why “peaceful” Muslim majorities are ruled by dictators with huge armies. They ferret out the loonies (Muslims) and carefully monitor the neighborhoods where they pop up.

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Turkey has done a good job of demonstrating how dictators clean up after a failed coup. Ditto el-Sisi of Egypt after the Army overthrew the Muslim Brotherhood. Turkey, Morocco, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan have all made extensive use of US military training and we have made extensive use of their ability to deal with Muslim Islamists.

We need to let the Progressives find other playgrounds for their social justice games and get on with sorting out who are Muslims are and watching those who don’t pass the smell test.

“Three brothers (Abid, Imran, and Jamal Awan) who managed the office IT for members of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and other lawmakers were barred from computer networks at the House of Representatives.”

Huh? How does that happen? The House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence gets its IT guys off the street? Are they the same guys who set up the private server in the bathroom for Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clintoon? That is how “national security” is handled? By the Geek Squad from the Muslim Outreach and storm door company?

We don’t have the will to follow the way to security because the chattering, nattering Progressive bimbos are too busy leeching to pay attention to what it takes to be secure.

It’s like the media’s preferred passive voice construction “The men who carried out that attack had become radicalized.”

No, they did not just “become radicalized” the way one becomes sleepy. Their imam’s radicalized them, their mosques radicalized them, their fellow adherents to the faith of Global Jihad radicalized them.
