How fake is CNN? At least this fake

CNN carefully stages some “good” Muslim demonstrators:

YouTube Preview Image

CNN thinks it did nothing wrong or unusual.

The group of demonstrators that was at the police cordon was being allowed through by officers so they could show their signs to the gathered media. The CNN crew along with other media present simply filmed them doing so.

First of all – NO. Believe your own eyes, watch the video! CNN poses and directs the people in the shot. CNN doesn’t “simply film” them.

Second, is it normal for CNN to pick and choose which tiny group of demonstrators they will over-report on, to fit CNN’s pre-determined political script? I think they’re saying it is.

Their refutation doesn’t refute. CNN fakes a non-event, then explains in essence, “Oh that’s what we normally do. What’s the problem?”

UPDATE: There’s also that time Don Lemon posed his own co-worker as a random, man-on-the-street Hillary supporter (though Lemon disclosed it afterward).

The CNN reporter propaganda artist above is Becky Anderson. Her piece makes a point that we all WISH were true: Large numbers of Muslims rejecting the terrorist losers. Too bad it isn’t.

More than 30,000 Muslims from across the world meet in the UK to reject Isis and Islamic extremism

Fake news or just not large enough of a number?

  2. Given the the Brits are actively watching at least 23,000 Muslims in Britain alone puts 30,000 into perspective.

Given the CNN video and other exaggerated counts, I suspect the 30,000 is overstated.

If the 5% of 1 billion is correct, that makes for 50 million terrorists. I suspect the 5% is a low estimate.

Big whoop. Are they actually going to do anything? Or was this just taqiyyah?

  6. For some reason, the Cuck News Network chose not to film the Brits in the streets chanting, “We love Trump!”

How many of those 30,000 Muslim virtue signalers who “reject ISIS” would actually do something to help fight terrorism? Would they call the cops to report a neighbor or relative who was planning an attack?

And then there’s the MSDNC guy who fretted that the British cops (who were armed only with batons) may have used “too much” force against the knife-wielding terrorists.

  7. On “America’s Newsroom,” Howard Kurtz said he’s inclined to believe CNN’s explanation that the police were leading the demonstrators into a designated media area.

“I didn’t see anything in this video that indicated that CNN corresponded or any crew members were encouraging protesters to do anything or to say anything,” Kurtz said.

He said this story doesn’t outrage him, although CNN host Reza Aslan’s tweet about President Trump being “a piece of s***” certainly did.

  9. Yeah, could be taqiyyah: http://www.askthesheikh.com/define-taqiyyah-is-it-lying-when-can-it-be-used-can-it-be-used-with-non-shia/

Put it this way. (Same point, approached from a different angle.) Why are the demonstrators not at the radical mosques? with the specific intent of shutting down the radical mosques?

CCP, in your link I see large numbers of Muslims gathered. But I have no reason to believe they’re protesting anything. Notice the disconnect between the frames where one or two people hold a “Not In My Name” type of sign, and the frames where large numbers gather – with NO visible political signs.

They are not the same event. And there is no real indication of what the large numbers of people are doing. Someone merely stitched the two together, along with their own titles and music, as propaganda.

By the way, the video references Ahmadiyya. Here’s something about that: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ahmadiyya

Short version: They’re a small movement which treats a 19th century guy, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, as kind of a new Mohammed or Jesus. Normal Muslims would consider them apostates.

If 30,000, 300 or even 30 normal Muslims had gathered to sing Kumbayah or promote “unity” with our leftist-globalist-academia Superiors, CNN would have been all over it.

BTW, I can’t decide what is the best name for CNN.
    – Cuck News Network – good one. but I also like
    – Controlled News Network
    – Clinton News Network
    – CIA News Network

  10. LONDON — An outspoken commentator who gained fame after appearing on “The Apprentice” will be leaving her job at the radio station LBC after a post on social media about the recent attack in Manchester.

The commentator, Katie Hopkins, a conservative provocateur in the mold of Ann Coulter, is to step down after calling on Twitter for a “final solution” to the terrorism problem, which some had interpreted as a call for genocide, echoing the Nazi euphemism for the Holocaust.

The post was later changed so that it read “true solution” rather than “final solution.”

  11. rusty – WATCH THE VIDEO. You can SEE the demonstrators pose for the shot while chatting with the media crew. Aka, direction.

At this point, I think it’s on CNN to offer proof that they didn’t pay the demonstrators, or arrange for them to show up or make their signs for them. The demonstrators clearly take pre-made signs from a central stack.

Ask the question: Why would CNN care about this handful of people? Why have an entire crew on hand, for them?

In a contest between Howard Kurtz and my eyes, I have absolutely no problem believing my eyes.

  12. A source with knowledge of the situation added that the network was part of an “assembled group of media” in the area where the shot in question occurred.
“You an clearly see at the beginning of the video on social media that a group of press photographers is asking the demonstrators to stand in front of them so that they can see them — there’s nothing sinister going on there.”

  13. Translation: “Oh staging people like this is what we normally do. What’s the problem?”

You’re making points that are already refuted by WATCHING THE VIDEO. And by asking why CNN would even have a crew on hand, for these people?

  14. ILC, there were several media groups gathered for this small group
of Folk. A media event being supervised by the London police force

A person with a phone or camera captured part of the staging.

Several independent media folk have dismissed any sinister intent.

But I will leave it there.

Yes, all media outlets have made poor choices that end up being labeled Fake News.

  19. Rusty, if this was the first time CNN did something like this, I might cut them a little slack. But they have a long history of creating false news “events”.

    Comment by Juan — June 6, 2017 @ 12:09 am - June 6, 2017

  20. Are they actually going to do anything? Or was this just taqiyyah?

Even assuming that they are completely sincere, there’s a big difference between chanting “Love for all, hatred for none” to an audience of non-Muslim spectators, and chanting the same thing as a counter-demonstration at the annual Quds Day rallies held in London and other and other Western cities. (Though ostensibly a show of “positive solidarity” with Palestinians, the Quds rallies tend to be heavy on militant symbolism and overt anti-Jewishness.)

This year, international Quds Day will be 23 June (actually beginning after sunset on the 22nd), which is just two days before the main NYC Gay Pride parade. But the main gay parade in London isn’t until 8 July.

    Comment by Throbert McGee — June 6, 2017 @ 3:57 pm - June 6, 2017

  21. Exactly. The demonstrators are staged for a liberal Western audience – “look, don’t hate us, be lulled by us – we will tell you what you want to hear – we will reinforce that ‘unity’ message you so badly wish were true.”

It could be a bit sincere, in line with Ahmadiyya or (say) Sufism. But still misdirected and thus, some of us smell taqiyyah.
