Violence on the Left Is OK If It’s Artistic

A theatre company in New York City (of course) is staging a re-imagining of Julius Caesar in which President Donald Trump is assassinated by a gang of senators.

This version of Shakespeare’s tragedy features a Caesar who bears a striking resemblance to President Donald Trump, complete with his trademark orange hair, business suit, and long red (or blue) necktie. True to the original play, the rash populist Caesar ends up being assassinated on the Senate floor by a group of conspirators — including his friends Cassius and Brutus — saving the Republic from his dangerous reign.

They didn’t even attempt to be subtle with the imagery, according to one woman who was able to see a sneak preview of the performance. During the murder scene when the Trumpian Ceasar is stabbed to death, “an American flag hovers overhead,” according to the woman, while “blood was spewing everywhere out of his body.”

IIRC, in Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar, his assassins turned out to be the bad guys. Am I remembering that right?

Anyway, this is supposedly OK but what Kathy Griffin did was wrong but what Snoop Dogg did was OK. Because reasons.

You can advocate the assassination of Donald Trump, just not by beheading. I guess because that would be cultural appropriation, or something.

I’ll concede to you that “it’s just a play, so don’t get your panties in a wad {BTW, I don’t wear panties and nothing I wear is in a wad}” if you can answer for me one simple question: Where in America was a depiction of the assassination of Barack Obama considered socially and artistically acceptable in the period 2008-2017?

I’m just trying to figure out what the rules are for these things. I get that it’s OK to advocate murdering the president if he’s a Republican, but not if he’s a Democrat. But apparently there are some subtleties with regard to the means of assassination that I don’t understand.

ILC: Can we get a category for ‘Violence on the Left?’ in the pull-down menu? Thanks.

Man Identifying As 6-Year-Old Crushes Game-Winning Homer In Tee-Ball Championship

AUBURN, CA—Local 36-year-old man Nate Ripley, who identifies as a six-year-old, “absolutely crushed” a game-winning homer at a local tee-ball game and won the championship for his team Monday evening, reports confirmed.

Ripley reportedly walked up to the plate in the bottom of the 6th, pointed his bat toward the left-field wall looming 130 feet in the distance, and let her rip, sending the ball rocketing over the fence and into a parking lot as the fans cheered and his coach yelled out, “Attaboy, Nate! Good job, bud!”

In real life, boys claiming to identify as girls are making a hash of women’s athletics, but nobody dares complain out of fear of being called a bigot. If we have to accept that everybody is whatever they identify as, why not have a grown man who identifies as a six year old playing T-ball, or admitting a white woman who ‘identifies as African-American’ to an elite college on a minority scholarship?

PETA, Another Brilliant Con Job

Some left-wing scams are blatant, like the Clinton Global Foundation, a straight-up influence peddling operation designed to rake in millions in return for favors from the American Secretary of State and President-in-Waiting. Others are slightly more subtle.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has always been a scam, and a very clever one. The people at the top get loads of money for staging street theater, attending lavish conferences in luxury locales, schmoozing with celebrities, appearing on TV, and sending out press releases condemning people for eating meat. Rich celebrities and trustafarians make the big donations, while an army of unpaid volunteer saps raise the money and killing the animals that they claim to protect. It’s a glorious scam, really. Grifters at the top raking it in and living large, poor, dumb, saps at the bottom doing the dirty work.

To ensure the flow of money from dumb, rich people, PETA has created a fake animal abuse video and is trying to make it “go viral” (I hate that overused buzzword) on the interwebs.

What we’d like to do is have Mashable debut this video of a cat, created with computer-generated imagery (CGI), being abused, which will have been planted on YouTube anonymously by the ad agency who created it for PETA. Your posting of the provocative piece would simply be to acknowledge that it’s in circulation – not to make any claims about its authenticity.

Using fake videos to generate outrage. I wonder where PETA learned that from.

The Ongoing Integration of Mosque and State

Christian prayer is banned from American public schools. Islamic prayers, on the other hand, have been deemed worthy of accommodation. (Another concession to the Islamic Supremacists.)

A New York high school has transformed two vacant rooms into areas where Muslim students can pray during Ramadan.

A spokesperson for Shenendehowa High School said the decision to offer Muslim prayer rooms on public property is part of their effort to be culturally proficient.

“The school is trying to do a lot more to be culturally inclusive and so is the district,” school spokesperson Kelly DeFeciani told the Saratogian newspaper.

So, the district is claiming this is a cultural accommodation, not a religious one, and that makes it OK.

You buying that, ACLU? Oh, you are? OK, how about you, Americans United for Separation of Church and State? You’re OK with it too. Well, surely the Freedom from Religion Foundation must have an objection? No, guess not.

So, all of this “separation of church and state” stuff you’ve been spouting is complete horsecrap and it was really about bullying Christians this whole time.

Just as I thought.
