Aw, come on, Mr. President

It’s fun to watch President Trump troll the media. And MSNBC’s pompous, unhinged Joe Scarborough and Mika Brezeznski deserve it as much as anyone.

But this is too much. (The link is just the first tweet of a two-part tweet.) Trump gloats over his past social snubbing of Joe and Mika as she struggled to recover from a facelift.

Come on, Mr. President. Your internal rhymes are neat and it’s funny…for a blogger, or a cartoonist, or some Millenial in his mom’s basement. But you’re none of those things.

Keep it classy. At your level, people’s personal issues should be off-limits (just like their kids). Bait the dummies over politics and their Fake News addiction.

I don’t think you owe them an apology; but you probably owe us (the People) a small one. For lowering your office.

UPDATE: Just to round out the picture.

So in fairness, Trump’s feelings may be justified. But please, Mr. President, don’t gossip about people. Not even your opponents. Don’t do personal feuds.

  1. CNN had Elmo from Sesame Street on one of their programs recently. That goes to show you the intelligence of their core audience.

  2. Frankly, IMHO, the bar was lowered by Obummer and probably can’t get much lower.

Read an interesting blog today linking Joe Scarborough with an intern’s death in 2001 (in Florida). Has anyone done any research into that?

Apparently she had a “heart attack” in his office, hit her head, and died. Ruled an accident.

    Comment by Charlotte — June 29, 2017 @ 11:54 am - June 29, 2017

  3. Totally agree on the keep it classy aspect.

Joe has been a relatively abrasive Never-Trumper and is well past his expiration date for stepping up and taking control of his supposedly adult connection with reality.

Mika is an adequate enough cocktail hostess, but not safe in anything deeper than kiddy pool water. Together, Joe and Mika have enough draw to get the performing seals to show up and lend them an air of substance.

Their show is sort of like watching John Kasich and Dennis Kucinich lay out the roadmap for proper nutrition, ending toenail fungus and bridging all gulfs which divide us from attaining perfect harmony.

So, Trump snarled and bit back like a junkyard dog with a lot of pent-up anger. I would wager The Donald is pissed off at both of them. He has led two lives. In one life, Mika and Joe gave him B.J.’s for the ratings he gave them to them. If they had snatched at his face the, he would have dumped them like so much rotting fish. Now, they are jackals, tearing his skin and trying to get the marrow out of his bones. Cannibals. Love him when he helps their ratings and bash him when their bigoted viewers tune in for mauling.

Maybe The Donald is giving Mika and Joe everything their fan boys want and deserve. The big mean President is bitch slapping poor Mika and Joe. Let’s wait until the ratings come in.

But, who in their sane mind thinks that Trump is going to forgive and forget how those two used him when his voice and opinion created buzz and viewership? What exactly does he “owe” scavengers?

I really took offense to Slick Willie giving a hormonally overwrought twitchy-butt-slut serious crotch attention in the Oval Office. Heck, I thought Obambi putting his feet on the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office was a desecration of juvenile proportions.

So, if The Donald is tweeting hate-chirps from the Oval Office, I will join in the chorus opposing such activity. But, not just yet.

Maybe, Al Franken should sponsor a milk and honey summit between The Donald and Mika and Joe and get Whoopie Goldberg and Oompahpah Winfrey and Jerry Springer to officiate.

The wheels on bus go round and round and the Trump bus is new to us all with all sorts of “features” that cause us to sit up and take notice.

And just where is Meagin Kelley at point in her sky rocketing career? And did Billy Bush catch the gold ring with his Trump tape?

Trump is still a force to be reckoned with. In other words, I reckon this won’t much hurt him. Monica endeared Slick Willie to his base. They just chuckled over it. Obambi could poop in the punch bowl and all his groupies would fight to get a piece of it.

I wonder, do you really think that Mika came bleeding from a face lift to pee with the tall dogs at Mar-a-Lago and suck up to Trump. I think I do.

    Comment by Heliotrope — June 29, 2017 @ 12:09 pm - June 29, 2017

  4. Oh, I do. Look-at-me-Mika and Beta-but-doesn’t-know-it Joe, trailing the Alpha Male to Mar-a-Lago when they needed to stay home, trying to suck up to him while being all confused and unhinged about him, sounds exactly like something they would do. Trump was right to snub them.

Just not right to gossip from the ol’ Bully Pulpit. That’s what it is – Gossip.

  8. The days of the office of the presidency being above & beyond the mud slinging have been over for many decades now. The President used his personal account to air his pushback against two people who have consistently used their own smaller pulpit to call him mentally ill & worse.

Further; Trump is a president separately, a billionaire separately & a man from Queens separately. Who has been the target of one lie after another & who, as most people surrounded by their enemies, finds it necessary to compartmentalize himself & deal with the separate lunges from many different swords. What better way to combat rumors based on lies with the same. He’s also fighting the Democrat Media Complex, the Enemies of the American People which does not let things lie & does not “rise” to the level expected of respectable, objective journalism. Gone, also, are the days when the concept of turning the other cheek actually accomplish anything. Ask George W. about what that did to deflect damage from the daily attacks from the Democrat Media.

Even further; context. These people are all living in a top drawer world of verbal acid attacks, petty cocktail party backstabbing & sneering attempts to take each other down. ALL this, on this group of people living within the amateur world of DC politics where vulgarity, infidelity, crassness, dishonor & a world of sins swirl. Daily.

Sarah Huckabee said it best today when she said, & I paraphrase, Pres Trump needs to respond to personal attacks in kind.

& Even Further; ALL of this is contained within the context of half the nation that hasn’t honorably accepted the results of a US election & a Congress which has been given all the power in the world & still will not do what they promised in order to be reelected to their exalted positions as representatives of the people.

Normally, I would just say Pres Trump is a big boy & can fight his own battles. He’s got more money than me & he’s president. I don’t work for him & don’t draw a salary from doing my bit to MAGA. But the false outrage because Trump had the temerity to fightback against people who wake up every morning with disrespect already bubbling up out of their mealy mouths; is enough to make me ill.

    Comment by Hanover — June 29, 2017 @ 2:03 pm - June 29, 2017

  9. FTR, I personally feel disappointed (not outraged).

If nothing else, it could be poor strategy. CNN is dissolving before our eyes, yay!… then Trump changes the conversation with this. And have you thought about the lawsuit exposure? Not a valid lawsuit, mind you. But Joe and Mika have a different story about what happened. If they are that crazy, they’ll try to claim that Trump’s version of what happened is defamatory.

    Comment by ILoveCapitalism — June 29, 2017 @ 2:18 pm - June 29, 2017

  10. My above comment #8 is meant respectfully & not aimed at ILC or any other commenter here. Only specific outrage from the Left & specific drivel from the likes of Lindsey Graham & small-headed Paul Ryan. My comment is merely to clarify what’s happened & to give context of the whole thing, within common knowledge & information available to the public at large.

In other words, there’s no reason to be upset with Trump as he attacks talking heads on the Left who he has been more than generous with, in the past.

    Comment by Charlotte — June 29, 2017 @ 2:35 pm - June 29, 2017

  12. I completely agree with Hanover. He hit the nail on the head with this one. Everyone keeps expecting him to be a politician and bow down before norms. I don’t care one bit about norms or etiquette. I want him to take the bull by the horns and run rough shot over the competition. Many here would love to see him cowtow and be subservient. As far as classy goes, we have lost that a long time ago during the last presidency if you call it that. From the idiot at the top at the time to a congressional rep that said to “Die Quickly” to “I want the govt to fund my vineyards” Pelosi and muslim terrorist supporter Keith Ellison. Class never has been part of the American presidency, we can see that from the history books. Those who say that are deluding themselves.

  13. TRUMP has a gift of making people show their true colors. Its like he is handing out the glasses from “They Live”.

TRUMP is a master at his craft and Twatter is one of his weapons against fake news. The fact twatter shadowbanned 35 of his tweets in one day shows their discrimination. He would rather bring Twatter in line than go on

No one else could make Jeb look like such a cuck, or have FBI’s Comey crying that he tried to hide by the curtains. He has made Israel firster NEOCONS finance Clinton. The NEOCONS even tried to talk him into Obama’s supreme court pick as part of a deal if Ginsberg Retired to keep 3 jews on the court.

    Comment by Juan — June 29, 2017 @ 6:01 pm - June 29, 2017

  15. Trump must be Trump. When others strike first President Trump hits back hard.
This latest flare-up between the president and Mika and Joe shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone.
Not only did that strange couple strike first, they kept hitting, day, after day.
This talk from elected Republicans about how Trump is distracted and unable to focus on his job.
It’s not Trump’s tweets that failed to get an ObamaCare Repeal and Replace bill passed. It was Republicans, after 7 years of non-stop: repeal and replace, can’t come together to solve the issue.
Blaming Trump’s tweets for Republican failure is really the distraction.

    Comment by Samuel — June 29, 2017 @ 6:22 pm - June 29, 2017

  16. From the comments that have already been posted my sense is most at least sympathize with President Trump for, according to at least one commenter, snarling at Mika & Joe.
Another common thread is how people believe the Presidency has lost its dignity long ago and, according to another commenter, the presidency is no longer above the mudslinging.
In my opinion a president who shows righteous indignation, and honest anger, is superior than a president who doesn’t get angry, he get’s even.

    Comment by Samuel — June 29, 2017 @ 6:36 pm - June 29, 2017

  19. At the risk of sounding crude: I do wish that Pres. Trump would sound a little more refined in his tit-for-tat(s) with people, on Twitter.

Having said that- I think that crude comments, + crude arguments, between US Presidents and [reporters + celebrities], is not a new thing.

One reporter pointed out, this year, that:

At one time, when Harry Truman was President, Truman’s daughter did a singing recital.

After hearing the recital, a man [who was a reporter], said something like: “She sings like a wailing cat that has just stomped down on a tack”.

After Truman heard about this review, he called or wrote the reporter, and said something like:

“If you talk about my daughter like that again, I will find you.
And when I am done talking with you, you are going to need a TRUSS!”

In 1945-1953 language, this was a veiled insult, or [a message to back-off], from President Truman.

What he meant by “you will need a truss”, is:

“If you talk about my daughter like that, again, I’m going
to KICK you in the [two things]!”

When Truman said that to the reporter, it was taken as it was meant by Truman-

that the reporter was being very rude, + Truman was telling the reporter: [you have made me very furious. Men with less control than I have, would have beaten you up for that. Seriously, back off].

These types of angry, insult fights have taken place between [reporters + Presidents], since Truman + the 1940s. This has been going on for more than 70 years.

I do hope that our Presidents would talk in more polite terms, but- I think that any men and women who become President, and [the people who work around them], should expect these kinds of crude + rough arguments, if-

they become a President, or the people who talk to the Presidents.

  21. Pres Trump has people like Paul (#17) all in a snit, wondering why he sounds like the Democrat Media Complex & why he sounds like the insulting news heads like simpering little Mika – not to mention the third of the Left that is rabidly against Trump on a daily basis. Every single day.

I love it! They don’t love it because it means that the insults that come out of Mika’s mouth like an oily discharge, are met with an overwhelming response.

Meanwhile, Paul shows his metal. Demeaning half the country & obviously also those in his nesting ground that voted for Trump. Such nice people, these Democrats.

  28. For lowering your office……
I don’t recall Obama apologizing for lowering the office after he went “between two ferns,” or after he sat for questions from a green-lipped monster who bathed in milk and fruit loops.

I think he was put off by even thinking about eating in the company of someone oozing blood and pus from her face.
    I would be.
After their slams of him it’s a nice reminder for them that they craved his company, once.

  29. Limbaugh had a clever analogy the other day: Trump uses Twitter like a laser pointer and he’s got the liberal media cat chasing the little bright red dot all over the living room, bouncing off the furniture and running into walls. It’s a lot like pug bowling.

  30. The media has gotten away with abuse of Independents and Conservatives while doing everything they can to help DNC for too long. I am tired of having elected officials let the Leftists be two faced hypocrites. It is time to give them back what they have been dishing out plus some extra.

Also Mika hiding behind her gender to strike out like a fishwife and then expect to be treated like a lady is gutless on her part. Equality means just that being treated verbally as an equal the same as if you were a man (physically is a different story due to physiology).
