Democrat Senator Dick Durbin is refusing to release email exchanges between his office and the Bernie Bro who tried to mass murder the Republican Congress.
And the completely non-partisan, not at all biased, plays it completely fair with both sides, Democrat Media Complex is not pressuring him to.
Apparently those emails have been released to the USCP?
So, not exactly a coverup, at least not yet, to not publicly release emails that are part of an investigation.
The emails are probably the standard senatorial boilerplate. “Thank you, citizen for your activism. We appreciate every thing you do.” That probably would just look really bad in light of subsequent events.
I’m more struck that if a Republican were withholding these kinds of emails under similar circumstances, the Democrat Media Complex would be spewing hysteria at “Trump tweeted something” levels of intensity.
One wonders, though, if his withholding of the emails might have a more negative effect than the emails themselves.
Perhaps a show of openness and transparency on his part would be seen as a strong plus for him.
But at this point, after refusing, it is lost.
I bet it’s what V said at #2, except, something a little worse like “Keep up the fight” or “Join me in my battle against the Republicans.”
I’m surprised that Durbin is still around. In 2005, on the Senate floor he infamously compared U.S. troops to Nazis, Soviets and Pol Pot soldiers.
@4:
Either that, or:
“Dear citizen,
I’m sorry but no, we haven’t passed any legislation that can force a pawn shop to return your items along with a waiver on all the fees you owe them just because your poor budgeting skills make you hurt yourself in your proletarian feelings.
But, Keep Voting! Marx be with you, comrade!
