How Many Ways Can a Prog Be Triggered by This Picture?

July 15, 2017 by V the K

Just a fun little weekend diversion. I’ll start.

1. The family seems to be led by cis-heterosexual parents.

2. Barbecue contributes to global warming.

3. Barbecuing is both white privilege and cultural appropriation.

4. Eating MEAT! For Gaia’s sake!

5. Coke bottle represents soft drinks that are probably not taxed unlike TAMPONS!

Maybe, but to my eyes the adult on the left (and on the right?) could be any of many gender specifications… 🙂

It appears that the girl in the red flannel shirt shaves her legs.
The baby is in a prison cell a.k.a. playpen.

I give up; the possibilities are endless I’m certain.

And look at the size of that lawn–mono-culture not letting Gaia grow her animals.

KCRob got it right; “cis” implies heterosexual, so ‘cis-normative’ is the “correct” phraseology.

Same here. And, for awhile longer, in Cook County IL, where a judge [local, no less] has put on hold a per-ounce sin tax for essentially anything non-dairy or non-water, imposed by the Board of Commissioners and its Bernie Sanders-wannabe board president.

    2) Mom appears to be serving something / holding something for Dad – misogyny
    3) Large backyard is white privilege

    4) The son is a soulless ginger (couldn’t resist) – this just disturbs everyone.

Illustration art is all but dead. You know why? Because: cities.

The country (including suburbs) are where traditions are born and flourish. The city is the arbiter of “culture.” There is nothing “cultural” in illustration art. It is pure tradition.

Dick and Jane had to go because of ghetto amorality. Leave it to Beaver was so over-the-top “talking white” that had to be shut up.

Archie and Edith weren’t traditional in any manner. They were counter-cultural targets who illustrated how “bitter clingers” can’t comprehend compassion and social justice and egalitarianism.

So, we have switched our culture from one of celebration to a constant cynicism about how askew the Neanderthal plain folk are.

This illustration is not deja vu to the cultural elitist. It is hateful nostalgia for everything which is wrong about the concept of normative values. Ask Lenin. He really understood the peasantry and how to enslave it.

By the way, this artist might have been Douglass Crockwell or at least heavily influenced by him. The golden age of illustration art was so heavily influenced by Norman Rockwell, J. C. Leyendecker, N. C. Wyeth and a few others that whole advertising agencies (J. Walter Thompson, Lord and Thomas, Young and Rubicam) built stables of illustrators who could project the spirited homeyness of the masters of magazine cover art.

But, that was then and soon enough, television and Hollyweird dumped traditional America for cynical America laughing at the rubes who can’t quite understand what “zeitgeist” is all about.

I’m happy to see that people are still able to poke fun at the elites who would love to “community organize” this whole scene out of existence. But we have come a long way from the time when people generally respected one an other.

Yeah, V the K, morals and ethics are a tradition, not cultural. The leftist folks are fully convinced that morality is relative to their needs and that ethics depend on their assessment of the situation in which it occurred. I know you know this, but it is at the core of what ails us and it can’t be overstated.

It is impossible for the non-believer to understand sin and atonement. The modern free agent “feels” it is more “compassionate” to negotiate sin and atonement from a position of amorality.

You and ILC have drawn anti-intellectual flies like Cas the Marxist to your posts. By anti-intellectual, I mean that the “modern” dissenter does not bother himself with logic or facts. Everything is about emotions and when those don’t work, then dissembling is the weapon of choice. For morality-based people like us, dissembling is a form of lying.

I can not get over how the leftists and their media are colluding to charge Trump with collusion. But there is great humor to be found in their dissembling, falsifying, covering up and shucking and jiving. Iowahawk tweets a response chain regarding the news that Jamie Gorelick, who represents Kushner, has dropped out of the Russia case and is handing her responsibilities to another lawyer Kushner has hired:

Jamie Gorelick: the Typhoid Mary of Washington sh*tstorms

For the love of god, how is this woman still considered employable, let alone non-carcinogenic

From Lewinsky to 9-11 to Trumprussia, she has been in the middle of every damn DC scandal & clusterf*ck fail of the last 20 years.

Oh yes, lest I forget, she was Vice Chair of Fannie Mae and blew up the economy, followed by a gig as lawyer for BP in the oil spill

    She’s Satan’s Zeilig

Her greatest accomplishment: causing 9/11, then getting appointed to the 9/11 Investigative Commission

They really need to construct a 200 foot monument to her on the National Mall, as the true Washington spirit of failing your way to the top

The monument should be a big marble likeness of her Rolodex

They can call it the Lose-eum

Iowahawk is no conservative, but he does engage fully in intellectual honesty. And, for all intents and purposes, he hates dissembling, lying and political conniving with a passion. Would that we could wander back to those days when the left had dignity and the facts to be reckoned with.

Normal people (yes, I said it) see a happy family enjoying a backyard barbecue. Woke social justice warriors have been trained to see no end of problems: heteronormative gender roles, patriarchy, a wasteful expansive green lawn, eating meat, no people of color, white privilege, too many children. My point is, imagine the kind of bitter, angry, mean-spirited, hateful minds that look at this scene and see nothing but problems with it.
